@@maffieduran the shit with mars argo wasn't her fault though. titanic sinclair was directing argo's content too, just before he started working with poppy. he gave poppy the exact same aura, personality, aesthetic, etc. that he gave argo, and she assumed poppy was intentionally copying her, hence the lawsuit.
titanic was already an abusive director, poppy cut him off in 2019 due to that. i'm not surprised the lawsuit wasn't handled well knowing it was in his hands.
with that being said, the reason her apology seems "half assed" is because titanic was most likely the one writing it, as he directed all of her online prescence, not just her music.
i hope this clears some stuff up, please stop being an ass 👍

One when a semi hit a man crossing the road, with "He's a phantom" from danny phantom playing in the backgorund, and another when a guy was having some sort of break down when his gf said she was leaving him. He was holding a grenade saying he was going to kill himself unless she stays with him. She said she will stay, he went to put the pin back in but I guess he did something wrong. One minute he was there then the next he was all over the family/friends trying to calm him down. Liveleak was something else.

@@ketchup4554 liveleak, pretty sure that site is the cause of me becoming completely desensitized. I could watch a person jump off a building and land right in front of me, only flinching due to the worry of their blood/matter getting on my clothes.

I’m gonna be honest. I may have a love for TikTok, but there are lots of dumb TikTok trends, that I would never participate in, and half of them caused deaths. Why would anyone participate in a TikTok trend that causes death and injuries.

I second this. There have been so many weird ass subreddits deleted over the years, many of which were sinister and some that just had very short shelf lives (usually when it’s something like a movie they’re discussing or some super unusual hobby with few enthusiasts), that could easily be a whole video on its own.

17:34 this is most likely because Yahoo is like Google in Japan. Yahoo is much more popular than google, and from what I have heard, people barely use google in Japan. Yahoo is one of the most visited sites, so i'm sure Yahoo Answers is used quite a bit too in Japan. This being said, I still miss it.

That's hilarious because I still use my yahoo account for my main email. Have been since I started using email back in the late 90s as a kid. Now everything in the U.S. is Gmail and I swear people look at me funny when I give them my email address lol.

I was a MakeMeKing viewer for a long time. The first thing I saw was a woman putting a whole jar of spaghetti sauce in her pants and then freaking out because it burned lol I was like wtf have I found here? I watched so many random videos on that site. But they were usually nothing too dangerous, just stuff anyone could do but just that people wouldn't wanna do because it's unpleasant.
it's interesting that before and after UA-cam's creation there where other sites where you could post videos on there just like UA-cam but with some things that UA-cam might not have on there site before or after
yeah. it really makes you think that many classic popular youtube videos could've been uploaded somewhere else earlier.

Anyone else remember this old lego social media website that had a bunch of tutorial videos with a flying robot head that would guide you on making certain aspects of your Lego page? I remember it from when I was a kid and I can't find any of the videos of the robot guys tutorials

You're thinking of My LEGO Network, it came out in 2008. I don't think it was as popular as LEGO hoped. I only think it lasted to 2010.

For something like the Doritos interactive horror sites based on their more zestier chip brands, I hope they bring them back someday along with the Godzilla promoted Doritos which my twin brother adored(since he was invested in obscure snack/candy/fast food promotions for popular culture).
I'm glad Liveleak is defunct. Primarily one of the shock sites that are easily accessible(though Kekma and Run The Gauntlet are far worse).
Lastly, I don't see Shaye Saint John as completely disturbing. Only surreal and slightly humorous, like some Adult Swim or shitpost material. Still, it's very unnerving; in a Public Access Television feel to it.
You might seem to know considering you mentioned it, but what exactly is Run The Gauntlet? From my understanding and what I've gathered it seems to be a shock site that shows you worse and worse things the longer you go? Is that right?
@@mechanicalhoundz yeah that's what it is, i remember kids passing that shit around in high school as well as other shit. Personally it's just shock but I am a little bummed liveleak is gone as a lot of things the news wouldn't publish or talk about would be up on there.

Believe it or not, Yahoo Answers helped me with a lot of my homework back in high school. They always gave me the right answers and helped me out of a bind quite a few times 😅
I loved that site and used to answer questions all the time. I really do wish it was still around, both for entertainment value and for the actually good and useful information I got from there over the years.

surprised someone finally talked about Stick Death. Used to go there a lot with my friends in this kids clubs place back then. Sadly Kids club changed and I couldn't go to sites like there anymore. Few years later I would watch some of the vids with my cousin. Then sadly few years later I heard the site went down.

I love Shaye! Such great memories of that site and the shaye youtube channel. There’s definitely a creepiness to the Shaye character but as a whole there’s also a lot of charm to her. Unfortunately I think a lot of that more positive side of the Shaye videos were in those that are lost (at least lost at this time). Some of them can be found on UA-cam but I definitely remember there being waaayyyyy more content when Eric Fournier was still with us. RIP Eric

I remember a lot of these sites, one I really missed was the lifesaver/bubble gum webpage where you could play branded games, the best was the bowling one for Creamsavers. But man I also remember Shaye St. John, I love and miss the old school youtube rabbit holes you could just find weird and sometimes horrid things without much censoring... let me tell ya, when I was in college (psychology and fine art degree) I would use some of these rabbit holes for topics... lol anyway I'm super glad your channel popped up on my feed!!

I miss what was there before liveleak. Liveleak was very tame in comparison. But you have to be old to remember it. In the lates 90's and early 2000's the web was very different. Before it was invaded by kids and had to censor everything.

This reminds me back in the day how movie websites used to be so interactive lol. The earliest I remember when Silent Hill (2006) came out you would go to this official website, but it was so interactive, you had to go through various clues as if you were lost in Silent Hill and you could even play a maze where you would watch three clips from the movie and face your fears. And Inception! I remember when Inception came out there was this game that you could play on their website.

He actually doxxed himself on /x/ and tried to "dimension shift" into a dimension where he was with his soul mate (a random girl he was stalking). He then switched his jist into some grand, overarching conspiracy plot that involved, I shit you not, a spine beetle (a small type of creature Frank claimed to be able to send after people he didn't like) construction company that built government blacksites.

oh my god! i remember the zoo tycoon website going down because the zt2 modding community seemed to like it. also, the website had downloads for extra animals that you just can't get anymore because it's down. it had exclusives you could put into your game. really sucks.

Holy shit! I remember Orkut! My mom used it even more than Facebook (we are Brazilian). It’s what introduced me to the Buddypoke character creator.
I used to go on StickDeath all the time when I was younger. I always watched their newest videos and always played the games it was so much fun. They had great videos with Metallica songs it was so cool. And Super Beast was the best. I didn't know it was gone, it was super active but that was like 2002 2003.

i was kind of hoping to see the site that hosted the cry wolf game - the one based off the movie. it was a website where you and several other players were given a randomized character and would be either labelled as a "sheep" or a "wolf". the sheep would have to find out who the wolves were while the wolves would spend nights choosing who to kill so essentially just mafia or town of salem but with the twist of appearing as an MSN messenger. it was first released in 2005 alongside the film but i have no idea when it shut down.

Orkut actually helped shape a part of the Brazilian internet culture from the mid 2000s to early 2010s, it's kinda sad that we probably won't have anything like that again, it was basically baby's first social media experience, a weird mixture of a internet forum, a beta version of the social media concept and a chan board, shit used to be kinda wild since it wasn't nearly as moded as Facebook or other modern social medias
