Truth. This is definitely a mixture of both ambitious vigor and desperation of achieving his cause (humanity's demise for the sake of Mutant prosperity). It comes from a place of hurt.
Magneto endured a lot of hate and suffering when he was a young mutant and he didn't want fellow mutants to go through what he did. I can't agree with his ambition to wipe a race out but I do feel his pain.

Somehow I feel like it could be playing while the events of Uncanny X-Men #1 were happening, over the animated series episode "Enter Magneto," over the 2000 Bryan Singer film...how is it that perfect an encapsulation of the character?! Spiral, dudes. Spiral. Spam Dancing Swords until you max out your X Meter, wait for *"X! Shockwave!",* Teleport past the Magnetic Shockwave and as close to Magneto as you can, Jab, Fierce and dash in for the Metamorphosis. Granted, it only worked about half the time. But when that Metamorphosis connected, it was golden. And Magneto usually ended up getting smoked. Beware the teleporters. >:)
This theme was epic, and very fitting for an intimidating boss. The way Magneto got up from his throne and got ready to fight was perhaps the best intro for a final boss in video game history!
I second that, his throne pose was perfect for a head villain, then he admonishes his opponent, flies from the background to the battle stage, summons his helmet, and prepares to whoop!

That's an anti-villain. Someone who holds heroic or righteous ideals but is still the villain because of circumstance relative to the heroes. Anti-villains tend to be crowd favorites.

Definitely one of my favorite fighting games bosses! Not only does Magneto possess here an insane number of magnetic powers but he can also use several of them at the same time in various combinations. For exemple, he can launch almost any attack after snatching his opponent with his hyper grav (tractor bubbles) or during a magnetic tempest or while being invincible after creating a force field. Not only that but he can also control his stage (it took me a while to realise that): everytime you're brought to a certain place in the stage, he can summon a magnetic tempest by bringing together pieces of metal junk from the ground (objects he can then launch at his opponent at any time on a whim). On top of that he has several different blasts of EM energy and powerful martial arts skills. I was happy when he became a playable character in Marvel Super Heros, but he was also then downgraded (loss of the magnetic triple snakelike attacks, SERIOUS downgrade of the Magnetic Tempest, and no more stage control. He was definitely at his best in Children of the Atom.
Magneto did it, his friend's way but it didn't work out, due to some bad eggs hijacking his dreams of mutant-human relations now he's going to do it the hard way

A little drive does really bring out the atmosphere, especially when passing on the bus route, stopping at each traffic light, waiting for the light to say go and drive on again, just like how the stage in the game goes, shifting from room to room due to Magneto's magnetic energy controlling the space station's orbit. Mind blowing, thrilling and breath taking.

God Magneto's AI was annoying AF in this game. Especially when he'd fly up and start spamming those projectiles to pin you down.
That was version 3.0. The two previous versions had A.I. that was a push over and easily beaten.
