The rachel's works and process are top tier. She's really good at what she does but she's also a good teacher. Not always easy to find such good content on brand design, start to finish.
What I love about this case, is that it shows the importance of empathy towards the client and their brand. You really delved into the business, their needs, wants and how they think. Great stuff!
Thank you Rachel, your brand process saved me this early morning and yanked me out of "my own spiraling rabbit hole" when designing my own brand. Sincerely. Keep up your wonderful work, great rote insight and absolutely fundamental designer pov. Cheers!!!
Please do! I loved this video! Woke up and saw it on my recommendations. Watched it on the wayyyy to work. Learned a lot and got super inspired. I’m a fellow designer myself and to see someone walk people through the branding steps is vital. There were areas as a Graphic Designer who does a lot of branding, that I didn’t know.
This was awesome would be nice if you showed more of what was inside your folders or even shared a folder organization structure. Overall very helpful and insightful.
Killer case study Rachel! I’ve been knocking out a few branding projects and seeing your process helped me see where I can improve. We could even make a style guide a subdomain of their website so they can access and update it as they grow. Super sweet logo btw 🤘🏼
@ 18:50 I think it really still is a structured process. There were a lot of steps that led to this point and by the time you'd decided what direction to go, that instinctive part of you can kick in and guide you to that "Eureka" moment. But your instinctive decisions were generally driven by an already structured set of processes.
This content is incredible! Thank you for the detail and full display of your creative process! I'd love to know more about the prompts you give clients/workshopping techniques!
This was incredibly helpful with structuring my first full branding proposal for a potential new client this week. I'll be joining the new branding mastery course shortly!
I love the idea of doing multiple mood boards early in the stage that way they chose the best feel for them. However I also agree that showing them 2-3 design concepts is also a great idea. I think it depends on the time: budget you have available.
I'm beyond curious about how you walked the client through the process of establishing the brands voice, values, customer profiles! What are the questions to be asked? What are the prompts? I want to know all about that! 😆
Wow! That was amazing! Thank you for keeping it real and going into all these details about your process, very refreshing to see a different take on things. Definitely would be interested in seeing more content like this. 👍🏻👍🏻
This is a great high level overview. Love what you did with the letter R in the typeface. If anyone was curious, the typeface is called "TAN-KINDRED". You can find it in Creative Market.
I am a student 1 who learning Branding by itself, and this video is very helpful for me. because no one tells and shows what happens in the real branding projects. and in this video, I see a lot of useful things and tips. seems she is an expert. so Thanks a Lot. ✌😃❤
Amazing! Very insightful! I am very new to branding and design, so its good to know at all levels the chaos in the design process exists. I learned a lot from this video and Rachel does an amazing job explaining the process she herself goes through. And please do make the video of explaining the idea of presenting more mood boards and less logos. I often find it difficult to present themes to clients and not confuse them. How does one present moodboards that will certainly reflect in the final brand assets later? The mismatch later often makes me go back and repeat the previous step. Thank you.
This was so insightful! Love seeing the processes and behind the scenes work. I particularly appreciate you walking us through the initial version, what the client thought about it, and how you worked with them to bring the design to its final version. Good stuff.
This is SO helpful. great! Would love to see more about the hole folders and actual data you give to your client. What formats and how you pack it together etc.
Nicely said and done. I am in the process of doing a full brand, which was perfect topic for review, inspiration and using alternative methods. Thank you.
really informative thank you Rachel! i'm on the way to securing my first client, currently drafing a proposal but this video has given me so much inspo for the next stages
Love learning about the whole process. Can you do a video on how you go from sketching on paper/tablet to bringing it into AI and making them into vector form?
Thank you so much for that video it is helpful and enjoying to listen to thought processes :) One thing that could be better with that long video is to separate sections of the video and name them.
i appreciate your efforts for us ❤ i have humble request for Rachel can you make a video on Full brand guidelines / how to make it looks cool, I will appreciate it too much
This is a really great Project, Rachal you did embedded a lot of values in this. I'd love to know if we'd the granted the access to the resource files for deeper and more comprehensive study, I'd really appreciate that. Thanks Flux!

thank you for this - it was so interesting. My question is as a fellow designer, how do you factor in all the iterations when you originally quote a client. What if they decide to go in a totally different direction halfway through the process or change the original brief?
I think the approach you have on stylescapes vs mood boards is opposite of what I do. However my stylescapes tend to be ore in depth and is 2 to 3 in separate artboards. I'll give your way a try.
This is great. Does the brand share publicly the brand style guide? I also use CORE but I noticed here and there a slight difference and would like to take a longer look to the file, of course, if possible... Great content! Keep it coming!
Great video make some more video on this. What question we should ask from client when it says i want to design a website on this please guide for this
Hi while it's a very in-depth case study on the visual brand and business decisions. I'd really love to know the budget allocated and how you used it to pay yourself and your collaborator. Thank you for all the lovely work !
I worked on this project entirely independently - they hired a photographer in their own capacity after our work was complete ☺️ so the full project fee was technically mine (after expenses etc)
This is a wonderful presentation, I learned a lot about the creative process for creating branding. As we embark into an apparel line, as we are seeking ideas. Very well done. The only thing I kind of didn’t like, not related to the content, was the pink light off of Rachel’s face, it’s kind of a little strong not an accent, which would have to be a complement and not distracting. I just wanted to share my thoughts for what is worth it. Other than that, the content it’s very well. Cheers!
Brilliant work! Similar to SA. In Nigeria we also suffer from payment gateways which limits the type of work I would love to do on Webflow. We have paystack over here which was aquaried by Stipe a while ago but nothings come of it so far.
