@@YTHandlesWereAMistake Yeah I've seen it before but it's like 10 minutes long. A series with about 10 mins per song kinda like the DSOTM project would be cool.

The problem with the wall is that it is a storytelling giant, the songs have so much story, that it would take a year and a half to completem especially with the quality that Polyphonic puts into their videos
I’ve done this a couple of times now: take any busy street in your city. Pick a random starting point. Put your earphones on and play this album. Start walking. Is magic. The way the music seems to synchronize with your surroundings. The cash registers, people chatting, flirting, rushing by. The rich and the poor side by side. Everyone looking for meaning. Is wonderful.
I’ll admit, I kinda choked up a bit at the end of this last episode. DSOTM pulled me through some of the lowest points of my life when I couldn’t find hope anywhere or from anyone. This project just totally zeroes in on and honors everything that makes DSOTM so special to so many of us. Bravo!!!
This was one of the best video series I've ever watched on UA-cam. Thank you, Polyphonic; my appreciation for Dark Side increased immensely because of this series.

Iv never seen such an amazing album overview, this is honestly beyond beautiful, and for it to be about this album in particular is perfect. I cannot wait to see what the next big thing out of the channel will be.
One thing I found interesting in connection with this project's release dates on UA-cam and Covid-19 is that when "Speak to me/Breathe" was released, the virus was only starting to spread. It was in its infancy. "On the run"'s release date was in conjunction with how we had small glimpses of what was happening, small little warnings, that we all ignored because we were on the run. We were slightly anxious, but we did not have the time to care for it that much as we believed we were running for something more immediate, something more important. When the video for "Time" came out, the world changed, or rather i should say, the Times changed. It was mostly made pre-quarentine and released in post, creating a certain aspect of it that very much related to the topic of the video. That you never know when your time has started, and when it will end. We were in the midst of a childlike daze, of not knowing our time was almost up, and then it happened. The video for "The Great Gig in The Sky" probably relates to the majority of what we were all feeling during this pandemic, a sense of fear. Fear of contracting this new danger to modern life. Fear of dying from it. Fear of joining, the great gig in the sky. "Money" probably has the least noticable connection of all the releases, with it being that we were spending so much of it on things to keep us entertained during our pain. Remeber when at the beginning we were worried about toilet paper? Our money mattered then too. It wasnt just a way to reach what we wanted, but a way to get what we needed too. "Us and Them" comes around when racial tensions exploded starting with the death of George Floyd. Millions of people took to the streets in protest of his execution, citing that police should not be abusing their power to attack people unjustly. It created a certain Us vs. Them, with us being the common people that want equality, and them that have the power but continue to abuse it despite our cries. "Any colour you like" saw us starting to get back into the rhythm of our old lives, however with many differemces around them. I suppose this relates to the fact that you can have pain in any colour you like, but the fact remains that life shall remain blue in some sort or fashion. Throughtout history, we have had many tragedies, most recently 9/11. Life resumed back to normal after it happened, but with tighter concerns over national security. Now here we are having our very own 9/11. What comes after? That is yet to be seen. Now, for this video. "Brain Damage/Eclipse". Truthfully, im not entirely sure how much detail is required to relate this all to modern life, and which aspects it does relate to, as this came out today. But i guess it can relate to how these riots, and this pain we are still going through has been gone through before, and like those before us, we shall continue to misunderstand it deny it. Take a look at the indoor Campaign rallies President Trump has had. They defied mask regulations and social distancing. Why? Because humans are stubborn animals that cannot completely understand the mindset of another being. We all in a sense, have our own brain damage. Eclipse comes at a time where we continue to assimilate back to "normalcy". We are in the midst of vaccine trials, and within earshot of that heartbeat that was our former lives. We just need to keep going.
I got a Dark Side of the Moon tattoo by the time the project was over. From the time Dark Side was released, when I was 12, it has always been my favorite album. I have listened to it thousands of times. Your insights into it were profound and have helped me to better understand it all these years later. Thank you for a job well done.
Let me just say this series was remarkable I have never seen a youtuber do something this grand in a LONG time. The dark side of the moon to me is one of the most important albums of all time not only because of its composition but because of its everlasting impact on pop culture. If I could request a topic to look at for a future video like this I would suggest taking a deep dive into The Beach Boys 1967 unfinished concept album SMiLE. I hope more things like this come out and I hope you have as much fun making them and releasing them as me and the rest of this platform have fun watching them.

Im so happy that you were able to finish this part, If there's any part I ever wanted to here the deeper meaning behind DSOTM its Brain Damage / The Dark Side of the Moon.
This has been masterfully done and one of my most talked about series. You've managed to really capture the essence of the band's album and it's conception. It remains, to me at any rate, as one of the best, if not THE best, albums ever created! I don't think anyone have ever managed to put into such precise articulation - bordering on poetry - how and why this album was conceived and given birth to. It is a beautiful story and expertly and empathetically told! Stay safe, stay healthy, and have a peaceful evening.
This has been one of my favourites series of videos I've ever had the privilege to enjoy, partly because it's one of the greatest albums of all time but also thanks to your fantastic insight, research and production value. Cheers man, hope you continue to grow and succeed in this line of work, you deserve it.
I have loved this series and been waiting with anticipation for each new episode. Thank you so much. It has helped me understand and love one of my favourite albums at an even deeper level. Please keep doing what you're doing; it really means so much. Peace and love x
Yo I just binged all the other parts for the first time yesterday happy to see the finale out a day later. Thanks for these vids man super high quality👍
Such an amazing work you've done. This project has been really ,not only, a great analysis to a marvellous album but also a fine analysis on what life is after all.
I have watched numerous documentaries on DSOTM, and wrote a 15-page paper on it in college. But I still gained new insights on it from watching this. Loved this series!
Seriously loved this project. Being a video editor myself I'm astonished at the coherency you gave to the whole aesthetics. Amazing work man. Also you gave me a broader perspective on the whole concept behind the album. Insane job, hope you'll go this deep with more albums.
Thank you so so much for making this series. Dark Side has been one of my favourite albums since forever and this was a great trip through the intricacies of it, you added some stuff that a couple of books about Floyd had not. Thank you very much for the effort, it is much appreciated.
This series has done things to me. I genuinely thank you for this. Dark Side of the Moon is my favourite album of all time, and what you've gone and done with this, it's nothing short of brilliance. You've made some serious art here, and you're definitely one of my absolute favourite channels on UA-cam. Thank you for this. I had chills.
This was the best UA-cam series I’ve ever watched and the fact that it’s on arguably the best albums of all time makes it even better. Ever since you first started this series all those months ago I knew I was gonna love this.
This album changed the life of generations of people. The first time I heard it was at a friend's house during a party, we played the vinyl out of curiosity. When breathe came on, my drunk ass felt like on a cloud. I was hooked, it's staying with me forever like lunacy
Great conclusion, both the songs and the vid! One of the most impressive parts of the record for me is the production. So many albums, even the very best, have a sound that's specific to the time of release: The Beatles sound like the 60's, Led Zeppelin like the 70's, Prince like the 80's etc. But DSOTM still sounds as fresh as albums being made today and that blows my mind!
Wow! As someone who grew up in the 60's and 70's, Pink Floyd was one of mine and my friends favorite bands cause they had such trippy lyrics and awesome sounding rock. We never really understood what all those lyrics meant, they just seemed really "deep". I remember dropping window pane and then going to see The Wall at the local theater and man what a trip it was, o really good trip, but I remember thinking it was really deep thinking though I couldn't tell you now what that deep thinking was! I came from a violent childhood and I remember dropping acid about 20 times, mostly while listening to stuff like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and B.O.C. just because they had such cool lyrics and music it was a way to escape the life I had no control over at least for a little while. Thanks Polyphonic for this series. You have given me an insight into the music and minds of a great band and maybe helped to explain some of why I liked them so much and how they seemed to speak to me in some way. Your research and analysis is thorough. Thanks once more.
Those exploding organ chords and the glorious choir in the back of Eclipse are a mandatory tearing up in the eye for me. It's just a song that means so much for me. Thank you Polyphonic, it's been a great journey into an album we all love!
This series was truly a work of art, and reflects the beaty in Pink Floyd's amazing sound scaping. I'd love to see "Wish You Were Here" done just like this series and i know "The Wall" is quite long but i would love to hear a similar format done on that album as well.
I'm so sad that this series is over! DSOTM is my favorite album, yet I still feel like I learned so much about the recording and meaning of each song that I hadn't known before. Thank you for making these videos, they were each amazing
I fear this. For me these 2 songs are magic. Literal magic. No matter what I am feeling, no matter what has happened. These songs put me into a better mindset, a better mood.
Wow. This series was truly astonishing to watch. The dark side of the moon has always been one of my favorite albums, that being said i could have never understood it to this extent, nor did I. Watching this was very emotional and I now appreciate this album more than i could have imagined. Honestly just made my night coming across this project. Keep up the excellent work with your channel. I'm honestly speechless, thank you for such an experience.
Dark side of the moon was already one of my favorite albums ever, but this video series has made me appreciate it so much more than I already did. I love polyphonic.

Glad I saw the whole series after just seeing the Great Gig in the Sky feature! The interesting thing is that you have scenes from Philadelphia, and when you talk about travel, you show the Harrisburg airport (with Three Mile Island in the background!)
Excellent series. I've listened to the album so many times that I sometimes take it for granted. You've provided a great reminder about why this is such an essential. Big thumbs up.

Thank you for doing this series. Thank you.
Seriously loved this project. Being a video editor myself I'm astonished at the coherency you gave to the whole aesthetics. Amazing work man. Also you gave me a broader perspective on the whole concept behind the album. Insane job, hope you'll go this deep with more albums.
This whole series is one of the best things on UA-cam. Many thanks for your hard work!
Thank you so so much for making this series. Dark Side has been one of my favourite albums since forever and this was a great trip through the intricacies of it, you added some stuff that a couple of books about Floyd had not.
Thank you very much for the effort, it is much appreciated.
Been waiting for this for a long while. Keep up the great work!
That was one of the most beautifully edited videos I've ever seen
This album changed the life of generations of people. The first time I heard it was at a friend's house during a party, we played the vinyl out of curiosity. When breathe came on, my drunk ass felt like on a cloud. I was hooked, it's staying with me forever like lunacy
Man, this was really amazing. If you're gonna do this again I'd really like a series on To Pimp A Butterfly.
goddam. this cut is stirring. when i was in 8th grade i would get up at 4:30am to listen to this album before school. it's a fucking work of art.
Great conclusion, both the songs and the vid!
One of the most impressive parts of the record for me is the production. So many albums, even the very best, have a sound that's specific to the time of release: The Beatles sound like the 60's, Led Zeppelin like the 70's, Prince like the 80's etc. But DSOTM still sounds as fresh as albums being made today and that blows my mind!
congrats on your dark side project, epic creation and it reinvigorated my love for this album. Thanks for making life a little easier right now.
This series has been nothing short of amazing and inspiring. Thank you for doing it.
I loved this series and I love this entire album. I definitely got a lot more out of the album than I did before with the help of your videos.
Eclipse intro made me cry a lot. Thank you for doing this series
This is INCREDIBLE. I'm definitely going to miss it! Amazing work, LOVE YOUR WORK!
Thank you for a great series about one of my favorite albums of all time!
Dark side of the moon was already one of my favorite albums ever, but this video series has made me appreciate it so much more than I already did. I love polyphonic.
ahhhhh I loved everything about this series and i’m sad to see it come to an end. I would love to see more deep dives!!
this video series is the best ive ever seen, thank you for providing this in depth look into this magnificent album
That was a fantastic series! Thank you so much Polyphonic
This is a fucking masterpiece. I cried for the first half part of this video, no one could've done this album more justice that you have
I love this whole series, it puts to words a lot of things I already "knew" about the meaning of the songs, but could never quite explain.
Now I'm off to listen to the damn album for the umpteenth time.
Glad I saw the whole series after just seeing the Great Gig in the Sky feature! The interesting thing is that you have scenes from Philadelphia, and when you talk about travel, you show the Harrisburg airport (with Three Mile Island in the background!)
Watching the videos in this series always make me so emotional - in a good way. You really bring out the power and substance in these amazing songs.
Im always sad when I hear this song because I know the album is almost over, but at the same time its my favorite song
I love the way you finished up the series. Thank you for all the hard work.
i applaud you for this project. The way you made this series is just a big a of a masterpiece as the dark side of the moon it self.
for what it is worth it. AMAZING SERIES, LOVED IT SO MUCH AND RECOMMANDED IT TO SO MANY FRIENDS
Alan Parson is the unkwnown hero of this masterpiece
Excellent series. I've listened to the album so many times that I sometimes take it for granted. You've provided a great reminder about why this is such an essential. Big thumbs up.
Congratulations mate, such an epic series you should be proud.
Thank you so much for making these!! So much respect for inducing a true perception to this spectacular album
An excellent finale for a fantastic series. Thank you so much!
Amazing work on this project. I'm so glad you went for it and shared the results. I've loved this album since high school, and it's been a delight to learn even more about its making and its musical details.
