It’s really not that hard. On the interior trim pieces, there’s a plastic cover that says ABS on them, there’s an 8mm(?) bolt behind each of them to help remove the panels. The ceiling vents each have a 10mm bolt above them. Using trim removal tools (harbor freight ones work great) they’re easy to remove to give better access to the 10mm bolts. The front center console pops out pretty easily. And if you have the rear entertainment package there’s four 8mm bolts when you lower the screen down. The incisors have three torx screws each, and the latch side of the visor has a small cover hiding a 8mm bolt (small screwdriver or pick will release the cover just like the ABS ones. Then gently pull on the panels and they’ll come loose.
How many drains are attached to the assembly? Are there just two near the front A-pillars, or are there additional drains for the rearward roof glass area?
These sunroof units have six (6) drain tubes total. There are two in front, two in the center, and two in the rear. If you have any additional sunroof related questions, feel free to contact Sunroof Express for technical support at (800) 322-8867 Ext 201
I need help with my 2017 GMC Acadia Limited SLT sunroof. Removed sunroof motor and trying to get the rear part of the glass to go down it is stuck open. Trying to retime before installing new sunroof motor.
Thank you! I just pulled the track off my ‘13 Traverse today and ordering the new tracks for it. This will definitely come in handy in a few days!!!
Thanks, your video help me fixed the sunroof on my Acadia
What if your Trolly slides have moved independent of each other and the motor? How does a person "Re-Time" the sunroof tracking, slides and such?
How do you get the trolley guid to move freely? Mine are stuck in one spot (sun roof closed prior to shut off and removal)
Is there a video that shows how to drop the headliner to remove the sunroof assy?
Did you ever find one? I can't find one anywhere. I wonder if the service manual has steps to do so?
@@10lhskater No, I have not found anything online about this
