- No life will be free from pain. We will see it in the people we love and we will see it in ourselves. Pain and loss are intricately intertwined in the journey of life. But this pain does not define us unless we let it.
In today's podcast, I talk about the difference between pain and suffering. I share how we can start to look at pain without fear. And I discuss how we can turn pain into purpose.
Please enjoy other episodes where I share meditation techniques, tips and spiritual lessons from around the world for peaceful and stress-free living. Remember to subscribe to stay up-to-date.

Thank you ever so much for being, sharing, helping others. Thank you from the bottom of my ❤.
I’ve been dealing with a life situation that is causing me so much fear, anxiety and regret. I have to listen to the video a second time but thank you in helping me separate out those emotions.
being peace-filled that actually helps out the collective community of humanity, is a win/win.. great to know this..

Still listening 😢❤
Thank you for this great message. Warm wishes.
🙏❤Much love right back at ya', Todd. TY!
Thank you❤
♥️♥️♥️
I feel myself disconnecting and then hooking back in to ego driven part of me that gets involved and confused in the world. I can't hold the state that I want yet. Your teachings are helping. Like finding a radio station, when I tap into the good new of what your and Eckhart's teachings point to, I can't hold it long. Does this seem correct?
Love you Todd
Thank you Todd, very grateful for your kind thoughts and encouragement 🙏
merci man
🙏❤🌼
great show ! ✌🏽 Todd
Until you experience homelessness where you are literally living out in the streets being exposed to violence, the elements, rain, snow, oppressive heat, with nothing to eat for 3 days and getting delusional from lack of water and dehydration I don’t think you can truly understand suffering and how hard life can be. Telling someone the suffering they are experiencing doesn’t matter because it doesn’t affect their core essence is pretty shallow and not showing much compassion. Heck, what do I know. Maybe you could find someone in the exact position described above and you could show them this video and they would jump for joy since their core essence isn’t affected.
He doesn't say it doesn't matter and this teaching is a anything but shallow. Suffering is not a contest, dear one. Often , it is indispensable-- for until we suffer enough, we will not seek that which ends Suffering forever
I can relate to what you say Keith. This is a hard concept to grasp. I think of my wife who had Parkinson’s and the pain and suffering she experienced from so many falls, bruises, bumps on the head, a broken arm…..the list goes on and on. I was definitely a witness to her pain and suffering and it hurt me emotionally. I also think of how many people living in countries that are constantly being bombed into oblivion and their pain and suffering from losing loved ones.
I hope you’re no longer homeless and your life is better now
❤
What if you are being physically tortured?
You will dissociate, possibly black out. It's the brain's way of protecting your spirit from experiencing the physical and emotional pain.
If you’re lucky, you will disassociate. If you don’t (read:aren’t) then you’re in a world of trouble again.
