In a time of British Invasion, rock n roll, Bossa Nova and kitschy Pop music, They pulled from all genres, added simple horn arrangements, and always a great female singer to make their music shine. This is yet another one of those classic, which is up there with their best. Thanks for posting this live early performance. So understated, but elegant and soulful.

Personally, I think that her relationship with Hal David was really key to her success with that duo. He wrote lyrics for her voice - and that makes all the difference in the world. Furthermore, she had the informal and formal music education to understand where he was coming from.
