- Heading to the junkyard to look for a hatch for the Volvo 240 Pickup Truck. Found some interesting cars instead.

I used to have a 240DL that I swapped in a motor from a V70R. I used to love going to the junk yard for parts to lighten it up and modify like alloy hatch, hood, interior goodies, etc... but wondering the yard looking at all the cars was the fun part.

It could be a 1600cc engine. They are on the same floor pan as a type 1 and have the same motor and IRS. The body was bu karmann and interior by ghia. That's why people call it the karmann ghia but it's actually a type 1 (beetle) with a sports body
Not a type one Pan. The chassis of the Ghia is the same as the Thing. A little wider than the bug. It does use a type one motor though

@@schnike0073 This is true. I meant that it was not a Bug pan. My bad.
1f1fan they are though. They were both the type 1 and vw was cheap. The pan can be used in a type 1 and a type 1 4

We have resumed work on this project. Should have another video shortly.
