Hubby knows I look forward to the Sunday morning meeting with this fantastic lady. He does not bother me. In fact He and my Son are always handing me items "can you use this for something" I accept it with grace and use it if I can. I'm a "Lucky" wife...just celebrated 53years of marriage March 6th. Ladies don't give up or give in. He has his garage/stuff and Me I have my She Shed🤗

Glossy Accents works nicely as glue for cellophane & it dries clear & glossy =). I've even used it to repair the side seams when they give up. I had an idea to do a journal full of transparent pages, years ago.. my cat kinda stole it. She seemed to thoroughly enjoy laying on top of the crinkle & making noise.

I love all of these - thank you! I can’t remember where I saw the original idea, but sometimes I take extra threads and tiny fabric scraps and put them between clear embroidery stabilizer that later dissolves in water. Then I sew all over it very close together to catch all the bits, then wash it to remove the stabilizer. It makes a very cool textural piece of fabric.

I’m literally sitting here laughing out loud at your description of the threads/hair!!! I feel the same way exactly…we spend all this time fixing our hair, but see one single hair on the table or sink and the gag reflex kicks in!🤣 So, so true!
Now, about your projects…I love all (except the hair/threads) and will be making most of them. You don’t have to doubt why you do a thing or everything has to have a purpose. Some things can just be pretty and that’s all they need to be. Those little things that you can’t write on can still be added to a journal just like ephemera of any kind. This is a great video Natasha! Do you think cereal box liners would have the same effect? I have a LOT of those.

You are so relatable, funny, engaging and amazingly CREATIVE that you are such a joy to watch and learn from. (I’m also loving your “Treasure Making” book that I just bought last week. Absolutely love this, Natasha! I am a great one for saying, "Can I make art out of this?" to which my hubby usually replies with a resounding "NO!" which I take as a challenge to prove him wrong! One of the things I love the most about this project is the gorgeous tactile rustling they make! I'm a texture junkie and think these are gorgeous. I particularly like that fabulous ribbon you showed at the beginning - never seen any like that before. I have a lot of scraps of trimmings and ribbons, and masses of sequins I thought I'd probably never use, and like you I save all my thread offcuts. Nice to have new ideas for using up all this stuff and making something beautiful in the process. I love your creativity!

I just have to thank you for the way you format your videos. I LOVE how you demonstrate everything up front. That is not only helpful in mentally preparing me for understanding what the end result is as you go through the instructions, but it's also just SO MUCH FUN to hear the crinkles and see the animation of the loose bits . . . it's just so thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you for being AWESOME!

So sorry for your loss. ❤
Hope you get to make pretty little things that bring you some joy.
I’m starting to think of ways to gift people things like paper pockets i’ve made. One friend puts a pocket in her Bible study workbook to hold index cards with verses. I glue pockets onto my composition book to hold receipts, etc.
For Valentine’s Day, I gave each friend a pocket holding a tea bag and handmade mini Valentine i made out of inexpensive blank place cards.
      Creators definitely brighten our days!
Blessings to you for plenty of joy! 🎉

I make all of my gift cards, birthday and Christmas for my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. My mind is running away with me on ideas. I am going to use this idea with something like a Christmas tree with sequins tucked inside and sewn on to the front of their Christmas card. Down that you got to the thread part that gave me the idea of talking in excess pieces of gold string with my Christmas tree.

The threads? Maybe an animal themed something. Fur? It’s not disgusting. As you often say ‘it’s only limited by your imagination!’

YOU GIVE ME SUCH GREAT IDEAS! I can't wait to get to my stash and start crafting. IDEA: when you showed the square filled with batting there was a pocket you said had no purpose BUT what if you make deep pockets, turn it upside down and slide it over something like thick cardstock that you have attached (just the bottom half) to a journal page to "hang" the square in the book yet you can lift/slide it off when you want to play with it.😊

Natasha, as usual, you amaze me. And, you crack me up! The threads looking like hairs and why people are so freaked out by a random hair! I love these concepts! I recently bought my mini dachshund a toy with crinkly bits inside and he LOVES it. I knew he would. There is something oddly satisfying about the sound and feel. I have been collecting my packaging also with the thought of windows for specimen cards and the like, now I have some great examples of making things that can actually be useful! Many thanks.

I love that you included how you ended up with a lot of plastic packaging! Thank you for adding that. It's true that we should ask, "why". Too much packaging, but at least us creatives use it for beautiful and useful things! I laughed at the hair comment afterward. Oh, when you showed the attempt at making a butterfly shape I thought about how they could be hot glued to a hair clip. My six year old made a cute hair clip with some packaging material. She cut a hole in the center, squeezed the center parts together and said it looked like a butterfly and that it should be hot glued together in the center and then onto a hair clip. So I did the hot gluing, and she thought of that cute hair clip!

Divider - You can do your binder divider with that pouch with buttons on top. So like a pencil pouch inside your binder.
Top of the page bookmark - after making it so cute with sequins, make the tab in the back and the cute part showing! Or, take that pocket idea from the ribbon bookmark and make it with the paper & sequins in the back and an equal-sized front pocket that is only sewn on 3 sides (sides and bottom) to insert a photo, journal card or gift card in the top opening. As a gift, it’d be awesome!
I have been collecting all manner of clear plastic including from take out packages. The drawback with those, although sturdy, is the brittle nature. I will reserve the hard plastic for future specimen or photo frames. Something less likely to get cut from.
I even collect some thicker but pliable plastic and some frosted bags/packaging, too.
All your creations would make great inexpensive gift ideas or even just as the (packaging, haha) wrap part of a gift card, tea or cocoa packets, stickers, etc!
    Love your ideas!

    Hi Natasha,
First of all, thank you for videos, they're extremely inspiring. It has made realise I can start crafting right away with what I have laying around. Also I love I now can see rubbish and have ideas to upcycle it thanks to you.
One of the ideas I came up with while whatching your video was to use the thread bits to stuff fabric things up: a pincushion, any shape you come up with (little, relatively flat "teddy bears", human shapes, basic forms etc). I'm not sure I'm explaining myself but what I mean is you can use the thread to stuff almost-2D, fabric figures that may resemble what some biscuits look like. Then you could glue them or add them to your journals.
    It's just an idea 😅
