Dressy clothes… I always expect to be going back to my hotel to change before going out to dinner at night and often that rarely happens. Will be out all day and get hungry and have to eat on our way back and then way too tired to go out again.
I have to admit, I laughed when you said you didn’t wear the hair extension ponytail.
Although it definitely pulled the look together, and I know hair, and makeup up is your industry… I have never bothered with makeup or hair when I travel, especially in the tropics! Either way you looked fabulous!
@@IntriguedLioness it was a sassy idea, but yeahhhhhh no. haha. I wear it a lot at home!
I’m a huge pack with me video fan but these videos are way more helpful seeing what people actually use is so useful and absolutely fascinating. I’m a pretty minimal packer but I often find that I never wear my jewellery, or my make up and I usually end up just using one bag (purse) the whole time I’m away and I’m always convinced I will read more than I do thankfully I’ve limited myself to only taking one physical book and my kindle so I don’t lose too much space.
Thank you for saying this 💕 I’m so passionate about travel and packing and being realistic
So true! From my early years of travel, I discovered that I’ve never worn my jewelry from home, but would buy an inexpensive local bracelets or necklace which would suffice as a souvenir.
I never wear makeup in the tropics, and I never wear more than one pair of shoes, and one pair of sandals.
Lauren’s videos are probably the only “pack with me” / “influencer” videos. I can watch nowadays!
@@IntriguedLioness that’s exactly what I do I buy an (often overpriced) local piece of jewellery that I get obsessed with and wear everyday so any jewellery I actually bring never gets a look in and when I return home I never wear it again because it’s not my style. I also end up only ever wearing my sandals and look ridiculous arriving back in the UK in the middle of winter but can never be bothered to switch to my trainers.
@@VacantGirl I smiled at your comment as I've lived all over the world, London!... I spent a year in Hawaii and then following a year in Mumbai India and I lived in flip-flops and sandals. I then returned to New York City and it was so difficult to go back to socks and shoes!
Me,too ! I love watching what/ how other people pack their luggage !! Lol. 👍😆💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️💞
The other great thing about bringing your own snorkel is you never have to worry how it was cleaned. I was on a catamaran in the Bahamas and went snorkeling and then saw the VERY minimal spraying of the snorkels on the way back after we used them. 😮
oh yeah. barf.
Hi Lauren! I'd love to see a video about your budget for Tahiti and how you planned the trip.
I’ll probably do a blog post! Do you get our emails? I sent one out yesterday with my Tahiti itinerary!
@@ItsTheKellys Yes, I need to open the Google doc attached to the email, just haven't yet, lol! Thanks!
@@ItsTheKellys I did read your comments, lots of great advice in that blog! 🌞 🌊
Hi! I would love to see a video of how you picked where you would be staying and where you stayed especially since you cooked during your vacay.
I’ll likely be doing a long categorized blog post, simply because I sadly lost most of my footage from the trip when I left my phone on the plane :(
Lauren, thank you for doing all of this videos that are really helpful to all your viewers. You are one of a kind human being! ❤
Thank you so much!! 🥰🥰
Oh yes..share ur trip. Love following yoi
What a great packing review. I travel a lot for work and my wife watched one of your packing cube videos . She watched me pack and not able to close the suitcase then she laughed and unpacked and used the packing cubes . So much more room and a at customs ( a bar of soap lwas flagged ) , the security guard mentioned that it was the most organised man's case she had ever seen, l mentioned *it's the Kellys*.
By the way you made me laugh and spill my drink when l saw the pic of ypu at the beach and hair over your face with your glasses on.
So glad to hear you’re so organized now 😏😏
🥳Wow!!! Thank you for doing what you do!!! 💛All that film!! No one else puts in this much info!!! You are one special human ❤️💚💜🩵
Wow, thank you!
I would love to see a recap of your trip!
Great job on video. I'm getting caught up. Love your style
Thank you so much and thanks for watching 💜
It's interesting to see a re-pack since coming home can be a pain. Dirty clothes and any souvenirs take up extra room. Can't wait to see the video about your trip. Sounds awesome.
I like the re-pack idea instead of unpack, it was fun! And I’m going to see what I can put together. My phone was misplaced with all of my footage on it, so I might have to do a blog with photos instead 😭
I enjoy watching these videos. I’ve been pack for overseas since I was nine. I know how to pack well.
If you have any favorite tips, let us know!
Same here. The only time I have ever packed a check-through piece of luggage was when I was moving overseas for a year or two.
I love my Heys
Which one do you have?
I bought the microfiber towel and crossbody bag you brought on this trip and omg I love them so much! I could not get over how quick the towel dries. And like you suggested in this video I may even buy a second one they’re that good! Loved this type of video. Hope to see more like this with your future adventures 😎
I think I’ll def do a pack and repack you come home video for every trip! I love the reactions :)
Would love to see a video in French Polynesian. It’s on our bucket list!
I did quite a few shorts so far. I lost my phone when I was there but it just got mailed back to me, so I’m hoping to make more content when I can.
I’m thinking of starting a UA-cam channel about a single woman aged 50+ travelling- do you think this would be of interest to people?
For sure! What I’m finding with inspiring people to solo travel is what their fears and anxieties are. I’m editing a video about it right now. So that niche could be great, if you give examples of how to overcome that!
Go for it, I certainly would watch it.
Yes, would love to hear about where you stayed and how you picked them and all your tips.
Will do!!
So relaxing
😊❤I love your microfiber towel and I went on Amazon and purchased one. I love it so much
Isn’t it great?!
🥰👍❤❤❤❤ It sure is
Can't wait for the review on that new luggage you used 😊
Saturday!!
yes..would love a trip recap!!! Thanks..cant wait!
I’d love to, but I lost all of my footage when I lost my phone. I’m going to try to do a blog post :)
You know I can’t wait for this review. Really interested after this maybe your top 3….
It’ll be out Saturday, or Friday if you’re on our email list 🥰 I will definitely be doing a top luggage video again this year!
@@ItsTheKellys umm of course I’m
On the email list
Can't wait to see more on your trip. I always pack way too much makeup.
I lost 90% of my content, so besides the shorts/reels I made, there might not be much more 😭😭😭 hopefully a detailed blog for you guys!
@@ItsTheKellys I'm so sorry to hear that. I have always wanted to see Bora Bora. But, I figure being here in Wisconsin it's over a day just of travel. oof tah
@@jaymehayes6843 it wasn’t bad. I’m from Michigan, and I flew to San Francisco and then SFO to there was 9 hours
Def do a breakdown of this trip!!❤❤
@ItsTheKellys Hi Lauren. I’m new and binge watching your videos. Love your content. Question! Would you please share what type of beach towel that is? Where you bought it? Curious since you mentioned it’s thin and good for travel 😊
Thank you! And sure thing- I have a few from Amazon, similar to this: amzn.to/3w7Kqv7
Fabulous !Thank you Lauren
Books or even my kindle. I'm usually exhausted and when trying to read, I fall asleep.
Same here!!
I always bring my Kindle, because it weighs practically nothing and whenever I don’t I really wish I would have!
I always pack a flat iron or curling iron that never gets used!
I almost packed one and then laughed at myself haha
Great video and would love a detailed breakdown. What did you get for a tattoo?
Polynesian tattoos create art based on the symbols you want to use, and I used symbols like travel and shark and ocean :)
Love your videos. I found hard luggage let’s me pack so much more too
Which one?!
@@ItsTheKellys I have a Samsonite hard carryon and a travelpro soft sided. I actually packed them and took a picture side-by-side with the same stuff and you had about an extra shoebox worth of room in the samsonite
What did you pack in your black personal item bag? Loved your video-you are so good at this!
I re-packed it with everything I originally packed in it which you can see here ua-cam.com/video/VGoUxcxMfJo/v-deo.html thank you for watching!
@@ItsTheKellys
Oh perfect I will go there right now!!
@@debraray5786 awesome!
Would LOVE to see a blog post on Tahiti, with links like you described! Awesome idea! Video, too, maybe? BONUS! You really nailed it with doing a repacking video instead of an unpacking video. And hey, now we get to also see a video (soon?) with your review of the Hays carry on! Great job as always, Lauren. You always seem to tap into exactly what we need and would enjoy seeing. THANKS! Oops had to edit a little. As far as what I don't tend to use on a trip? Jewelry! I rarely wear any, so now I don't bother bringing any. Also, PLEASE tell us where you got those striped (boho?) shorts! They're perfect!
Thanks Susan! The shorts are from SHEIN, I have them in pants form too!
And I’ll definitely be working on a blog/video soon :)
@@ItsTheKellys omg, I should have known! I'm pretty sure you've even told us about those shorts before. Yo'u'd think I never watch your videos or something! LOL!
I would love to see a vlog of your trip!
I loved this video! Hearing what you did and didn’t use. That is genius!
@@Peggy-Kay I’d love to see one too 😂😭😩
@@ItsTheKellys I meant on the expenses like you mentioned in the video. I know you lost your work phone. 😢
I really love the look of this one! Can you do a video with it at the airport to see if it fits in all luggage restriction bins? I live in Canada and our airline is so restrictive 😢
I Will try, but it is smaller than the other ones I have featured that do fit in Canadian airlines, (like Monos) so you should be good.
@@ItsTheKellys oh perfect! Thank you!!
Looking forward to hearing about your trip! What is the beach towel you showed us? It looks really slim and easy to pack. I had my reservations when you reviewed the bar shampoo and conditioner. I have not had luck with those - always leaves my hair a bit greasy feeling.
amzn.to/3OdjXCS here is the link for the towel! I loved it!
And the bar shampoo is ok at home, but def not for saltwater hair!
Looking forward to your trip recap!
Btw.. I had bought my first Monos carry-on thanks to one of your reviews some time ago and used it this past week. Didn’t fly anywhere but went up to a cottage for the week and I loved it along with packing cubes (which I had never used before)! Kept me organized and easy to change when there and so easy to unpack when I got home!
Love your videos!
That’s so great to hear! 🥰
Got My Brace off,
from My 2 Right Shoulder Surgeries,
Wednesday w/ a 2 pound Weight Limit! 😩
Received My Bento Bag,Yesterday.
Guess it’ll Be Awhile before
I Can use it! 😞
If you use it for travel, use the trolley sleeve! And don’t pack it as full as me :)
Maybe you already answered but is there a better conditioner to take for salt water cause my hair and just "normal" conditioner doesn't work. Thanks in advance!
I brought my Joico luster lock treatment in a trial size :)
Did you like the heys better than July?
that’s so tough 😂
You may find this a strange question, but how (if you choose to do so) do you protect against bringing home bedbugs or other critters when traveling? You are in an out of more airplanes, transportation, hotels, etc., than most people, so I was wondering if you take any precautions?
I don’t do anything, to be honest.
I love my Bento bag but I wish it had some wheels on it. It does get heavy.
There are some little foldable wheeled carts that you can buy to attach to it at the airport. I just always use it in addition to my carry on, so I rarely have to hold it by itself
@@ItsTheKellys
Really
Where can I find them. I have looked on line and they all look big for traveling
This is the one we got to try, we haven’t filmed us using it yet, but I can try to show you this afternoon if you want to DM me on IG amzn.to/44wmRIC
@@ItsTheKellys
Thanks
Just curious if it will fit in the bento bag. I am flying emirates in sept. They are strict with there carry on policy. Only one carry on. No personal item. Size 22x15x8. 15lb restriction.
Then at that point I would do a super lightweight carry on instead. I used the heys Airlite last time with their light packing cubes and it was 15 lbs! My review on it comes out Saturday.
We just invested in 3 Nomad Lane Bento Bags (v3) for an international trip next March. Did you like using the bag? Your comment about it being too heavy concerns me, as I am a 64 year old woman, and I’m sure not as strong as you. Thoughts?
Most of the time if I’m going to use it, I’m going to use it with my carry on and attach it with the trolley sleeve. However, I was with an airline that made me check my bag so I had to carry it on my shoulder and it was heavy.
…but I did have it packed 100% full with bulky camera gear. If you pack it with normal essentials, it will probably be lighter!
Thank you!!
What brand is the towel?
Here’s the link ❤️ amzn.to/44sN62u
I've read that shampoo bars actually make our hair dirtier or something. 😅
lol no. They actually clean my hair way better than liquid and gives me a few more days with my hair
@ItsTheKellys Oh o.k.! Really !? I just read last month that it's not good for hair ! And it made hair too dry afterwards & not really clean or something . I was skeptical as it's solid ,not liquid .I almost bought one for my last trip to U.K.,but because of those worries ,I didn't. I'd give it a try ! Very curious ! Thank you so much for your reply !! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
@@ItsTheKellys May I ask you what type of hair you have & which brand you like for shampoo bars ? Thanks ! 😊
Jewelry! Always pack way too much.
As long as you pack it flat, it’s easy! I had mine in a little cloth envelope. But I didn’t wear any of it 😂
