Back in the day, nearly everything about a Rolls-Royce was hand made and hand finished. Not just the body and interior, which were the product of outside companies. It was a result of Henry Royce's eccentric approach to engineering, so that chassis were not welded, but "stitched" together with hand-finished bolts with tapered shanks. Electro-plating was shunned in favour of wrapping thin sheets of nickel around whatever metal needed a protective coating. Innovation was shunned, but every part was painstakingly refined and developed. In the pre-1920 era, the true value of a Rolls-Royce was not in the finish, so much as in the reliability, ease of driving and relative economy of ownership.

Wow, things one didn't think about with the Naboo. That really was a sleazy move. I don't think Padme meant anything really about it. The humans also were making a major move that would likely end in death with their pilots and security forces. Right or wrong the Gungans did the battle in the open because they needed to entice the enemy to bring as much out as they could, and like I said the humans flying Starfighters were in a different terrible position. But those humans are part of why the whole thing was bad to begin with and basically caused their own problems. For Palpatine, it was on purpose for a greater plan, Padme was just following what was before and doing it for the "right reason" building up her civilization essentially. Still, shot themselves in the foot with it.
I’ve used Naboo as an example of settler empire in political lectures. I so loved this. I was not expecting the lies green capitalism. Always impressed even though I know we have different views.
Naboo always felt like a mix of Canada and a small Western Europe country. Monarchy that doesn’t have much power, really cares about beauty and nature.
One option is that Naboo is actually fairly rich in chromium. Also, despite the claims, TPEC didn't construct the Royal Yacht on their own, many of the components, and indeed, the basic design itself came from Nubia, a planet in a system on the outer reaches of the Core Worlds, more commonly known for being the home of Industrial Automaton, one of the largest civilian-market droid manufacturers in the galaxy. And sure, TPEC modified a number of the components (mostly the sub-light engines) to their own specifications, and built the spaceframe, but a lot of the components were 'off-the-shelf'.
I hear Jabba the Hut got his desert private ship designed by them such was their reputation for fine assembly. It was sadly a one-off design considering the shipping cost alone.
They aren't solid gold. It's just gold leaf. Like $2 worth of gold to do an AK. It's one of the cheaper ways to make something completely corrosion proof.
I know this has nothing to do with it, but if you are someone inside the star wars universe without the same kind of knowledge we have, the entire Imperial Takeover feels like a Plot by the Naboo: It was the Queen of Naboo who got the old Chancellor kicked out, just so that her pal, the current senator of Naboo could take his place after which the Queen took his place as Senator, only to have the Stand-In for said Senator give the Nabooian Chancellor the emergency powers needed to build the GAR and facilitate the Rise of the Empire

those are pretty common.
You’re saying it like Cr has similar price to Ag or maybe even Au which is definitely not the case. Stainless steel and chrome are very common and relatively inexpensive.
Be honest, you clicked because of the thumbnail. It’s ok, I did too
Wow, things one didn't think about with the Naboo.
Allen sounded like a little bird that didn't have proper engine maintenance
loving the sick backgrounds.... could you try dressing more like somone in star wars? i dont know somthing like that is cool
MH-65 Dolphin 2 (US Coast Guard)
Seems like some N1 starfighters are hitting the black market 🤔 remember seeing one Tatooine last season.
L/V Bags also have a lifetime warranty. I always carried them when I had jobs that required a lot of travel.
no they don't, they won't even repair the bags for free anymore unless its a manufacturing defect
@@GenerationTech Had my straps replaced twice on my overnight. So, no idea why you had issues. That sucks.
@@GenerationTech *AND a broken Zipper.
Timbuk2 bags are also awesome.
"I mean, what other planets have a publicly funded, starship manufacturing firm?"
*Kuat, Corellia, and Rendil start sweating profusely*
The Naboo ship reminds me of the H-1 race plane.
Are these shorter ship related videos all from the earlier super long ship video?
Very Nice
I'd love to see a retrofitted version that's been in service for decades, a little worn down and used by a bounty hunter for example.
Crazy... Ambulance helicopter landing at the hospital around the corner the moment the helicopter in the video came in 😂
I’ve used Naboo as an example of settler empire in political lectures. I so loved this. I was not expecting the lies green capitalism. Always impressed even though I know we have different views.
(I’d be a partisan, but I like you lol)
It was sadly a one-off design considering the shipping cost alone.
reminds me of saddams solid gold AK47's - I think they need to fire the economic ministers
They aren't solid gold. It's just gold leaf. Like $2 worth of gold to do an AK.
It's one of the cheaper ways to make something completely corrosion proof.
I know this has nothing to do with it, but if you are someone inside the star wars universe without the same kind of knowledge we have, the entire Imperial Takeover feels like a Plot by the Naboo:
It was the Queen of Naboo who got the old Chancellor kicked out, just so that her pal, the current senator of Naboo could take his place after which the Queen took his place as Senator, only to have the Stand-In for said Senator give the Nabooian Chancellor the emergency powers needed to build the GAR and facilitate the Rise of the Empire
Theed Palace Motors are the Rezvani of the SW Galaxy.
I want a J327... That will be highly modified.
Great plot points to sell the video and the brand.
