- The engine is leaking oil from everywhere. It is 21 years old and I decided to remove the engine to replace all the oil gaskets and seals along with the timing belt and a new clutch kit .

my t4 was an ex limo/taxi befor I got her 262000 miles.now 3years later and 311000 miles engine still strong .smokes bit and has small oil leak cant find but im about to acquire a 112000 acv 2.5tdi engine400£been standing bit had mot last year van was rotten body .guy drove it home .he is the seller near my way .bought bits off him once he knows hit t4s.hi what would charge to change engines over
Seems like all the timing belts run slightly off the pulleys like you show before strip down. Must be the normal belt position.
do a overhaul like this help a motor with 225 000 miles ? how long can i drive after this? its a california 1991. wish i could do 311 000 miles

ScinnerNo1 thanks buddy 😁 and ye I’ve had a few viewers asking about the removal but I didn’t have a camera or decide to make videos until after I had removed the engine. I will be doing a lot more videos shortly. I’m in the process of moving house so I will hopefully be uploading more often.

@@AMSVauxhall Anytime. I'm trying to figure out at 0:54 the thing the dipstick goes into under the oil filter, is it just for the dipstick or it holds anther purpose? Thanks
Harrison Edwards it is also the oil feed for the turbo. It’s clearer in the next videos as my one is rotten so I’m searching for a replacement
@@AMSVauxhall Ah ok. I have a leak I'm trying to trace and I cant tell if it's coming form the oil cooler, the oil feed at the turbo.. or this bit at the dipstick. Hard to see without pulling everything apart. Thanks!
Harrison Edwards all common areas to leak, for all the parts cost I would do them all buddy

hi andy just seen your engine over4haul.my fan belt or aux belt is noisy and have new one .is it that easy to replace you just pushed that tensioner thing in and belt came off .steve.
steve mcgowan yes just release the tension and slide belt off. Just remember the orientation of the belt 😁
Can I ask a quick question, what was causing the oil leak down the back of the block. I have the same thing but can’t figure it out lol
Neil Chalton it was mostly the turbo but the cam gasket was also leaking
Was the van standing unused for long time I guess.can tell by rust .Scottish winters eh.I find better on vehicles when they get used regular
