My dad passed away suddenly at the beginning of this year, and this song and your other songs brothers and Achilles Come Down really helped me get through so many times that I thought I couldn't make it through, this song will always be special for me. OMG I totally found you guys by accident today. I just watched a video where you told your story. May I tell you mine? I tried to take my life in 2016 after realizing the relationship I had been in for 2 years was a lie. He was narcissistic and it was all make believe. I lost my dad in 2005 at 58 and then my step dad 4 years ago. My mother is narcissistic. I had a cancer scare also in 2016 which we discovered when I was in the hospital from trying to kill myself. I beat it. I've been trying to spend my life to educate others on narcissism and just try to do what my dad last told me "Stay the way you are and keep helping people." Today I am a childcare provider in my home. I guess I'm telling you this stuff to say that I understand feeling left out, going through the shit and being taken for a ride and wanting to end it all. Somehow we have to be stronger than the storms that try to take us down. We have to dig our roots into the soil and hold on. Let the winds blow, the branches sway and bend and even break. We must remain stronger than the storms that try to take us down. I am so glad I found your band today.
