My Dad (the stepUP father who raised me) has been gone 7 years as of 3 days ago, the Ides of March. It still feels like yesterday. Indeed, it still feels like God has just died.
I miss him so much. But these songs help it not hurt so much; they remind me of how lucky and blessed I was to have him at all.

It's just layer after layer of beauty and greatness across both this song and the album. Dave has developed into both one of the great songwriters and frontmen of this generation, and that's taking nothing away from the frighteningly talented musicians in the rest of the band.

This song is so magnificent! The entire album is unbelievable. Dave is a modern-day poet, songwriter, and performer. His voice exudes pure emotion and beauty. A throwback who is moving rock and roll music forward. I love this band!

It's very difficult to adequately put into words just how unbelievable good this song is! The inclusion of the orchestra is a masterpiece! David Le'aupepe has an amazing vocal. My favourite GoY track. Wow, just blown away by this version - I've played it so many times - never gets old. Every song on this album oozes out with an emotional connection - you can really feel David's pain from losing his father and the celebration of his life and legacy. Full respect - bravo.
