These powerline adapter.
Is it working fast? Is it better than wifi?
Lets find out as I will do a full speed test comparisons in my house.
Lets go. So this is my house.
My router is there.
For this test we will check the internet speed in my basement and my home office upstairs.
Ok lets go back inside.
For those who are not sure.
The powerline adapter are meant to used your house electric installation in order to pass the data in your house.
A real cable network is far more superior than wifi but is it really the case with these adapter.
Let's find out as I will test this with my laptop everywhere in the house.
First lets go check my internet speed directly out of the router without any adapter.
Wow this is blazing fast. I have gigabit internet.
Now I will hook up the first adapter to my router and will do my first test a few feet away in the living room. Ok still decent speed but really not close from that gigabit speed.
Lets check the kitchen about 15 feet away from my router. Ok thats bad.
Let see how it look on the wifi. Much much better.
Lets go downstairs now. Still not impressive over the adapter.
And what about the wifi? Way better again.
Lets run upstairs now in my office. Come on adapter.
Still not impressive. And the wifi is still great even really far from the router.
Now if we wrap this up there is pro’s and con’s with these adapter.
They were actually delivering the full speed of my internet speed at my former house. It was way faster then wifi.
Go check my unboxing video and installation tutorial on these if you want. But here in the new house its a no go.
My recommendation is to try it before you buy it if you know what I mean Shop smart and please subscribe if this video was helpful.
Bye guys.

its really hit and miss depending on your house and setup 😁🙏😁
Heya. Thanks for this! I have the same gigabit internet plan. Needed some reference material but I finally can make my choice. Keep it up~!
Thank you for your feedback 😉 Its hit and miss with these systems! hope you have joined the channel? 🙏😊🙏
This was a cool video... I'm enjoying your content. See you on the next one!

Very helpful, thanks!
Wow! Adapters V.S. wifi. Whats the speed REALLY??!! This was fascinating and FAAAAAAR from useless👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you very much for your kind comment! glad its helpful😁😁

Nice house UT!
Thank you 😊😊😊
Great Video as always, Thanks for sharing it with us, hope your keeping safe & well, Have a fun weekend 👍🤩🥰xx
Thank you for your visit my dear friends 🙏😊
amazing, thanks a lot
Actually... its only test is straight up internet speed. The advantage of a powerline is its consistency with latency, ping and packet loss. With the caveat being slower internet speed.
Hi, Yes very important point! thanks for chipping in 😊✌️😊
Isn't that crazy how much of a difference it makes?
Yes, that Powerline ''should'' be faster in theory 🙏😊
the adapters have an Mbps rating' in the description the av500 and av600 have a speed cap of 100-200mbps while the av1000 has a cap of 1000mbps so if u have gigabit internet get the av1000 or av2000 models and please read the descriptions before u buy anything and ask the seller questions don't buy blind, buy smart.
Thanks a lot for your feedback 😊
Surprising that when connected the speed test was slower. But at least your WiFi is working good.
Yes I was surprised and disappointed by the speed! especially since it was really fast in my previous house 🏡 Thank you for your support 🙏😊
Great information! New to your channel and I have joined. Let's stay connected 👍 Looking forward to viewing more of your videos
😁I really appreciate, see you soon 🙏🙏😊
what is the wifi router you using? It is fast with large range.
Hi my wifi router is a Sagemcom Home hub 3000, this thing is included in my plan with my provider. Thank you
So Wifi is working very good! Amazing video and great information ! Very beautiful house! Have a prosperous week!💝👍
Thank you very much! yes amazing wifi in the new house 😊 thanks for your kind words 😎✌️
her wifi is not working good, her cable is too bad so it makes wifi to look like good.
any cat6/cat7/cat8 cable with any length can outperform this
I’m so not tech savvy...still confused about what the difference is. I just have to trust the cable company when they set up my box!
THank you Mark, You are an artist 😁😁😁 not always the tech say profile 🙏🙏 thanks for your comment my friend😊
What wifi do you have 😂😂that’s crazy
Hey! I have a gigabit (1000mps) internet connection! pretty insane speed indeed! I appreciate your comment! hope you have join the channel? thanks
I don't know why but mine is so slow I get 200kbps and I'm on a 75mb / 10mb plan
Someone help
i have the same apdater !
Great! thanks for your visit my ✌️✌️✌️
Do you have fiber internet. Is it telus or bell?.
Hey! I am with Bell in the Montreal area. Are you with Bell as well or Telus? thanks for your question 😊🙏

Wait what? What's going on here? I didn't expected this results 😂 now I'm losing it probably I will have to get another brand or try the TP-LINK 2000 anyhow thanks for the update
I know 😳😳 I wasn't expect that either! I did so many more test and troubleshooting everywhere in the house and really disappointed everywhere! My house is not even 20 year old so its not like its an old electric installation! I am not sure the bottleneck would be the adapter Av1000 or Av2000 🧐 What I would do in your place was to buy it at a place that allowed easy return in case it doesn't work.. These adapter are not perfect science, its really hit and missed. Thanks for your input😁🙏
Hey! did you decide to go for it?
@@uselesstutorials1153 sorry for my late reply. I just received a new setup last Friday and I did some test.
The result confused me more because I used a PLC from other company ( Tenda) and the performance is mind blowing I passed from 400 Mbs to 900 Mbs steady. Of course I have some restrictions due to my ISP here in Japan so for example the ISP won't allow me to use my own router ( the provided their own ONU and router all in one ) so I had to work around and finally after some research I'm more than happy with the results.
I strongly believe that probably there's much more to do with your setup to improve the quality of the speed.
Truly appreciate your interest and can't wait to see more of your videos.
Take care and stay safe!
@@eLpELoNdeJaPoN Thank you very much for the update! glad that you found a solution! I will keep trying things here and report 🙏😊
100% your using a shitty cat-5 patch cable and/or your in america where the power cycles between several switch boards
True because i had cat5 cables inbox with my adapters.......
Very cool. To the point (and creative)! Thank you. :) :) :)

Weird. Maybe the electrical circuit of the house?
I know 😳 It supposed to go much faster then this.. My electrical circuit is not even 20 year old. Do you have the same challenges? thanks
@@uselesstutorials1153 your circuit breaker is 3 phase or 1 phase? 3 phase need AV2 model.
hey! I have look at my panel and I am not sure about the specs of it 🤔🤔🤔

Hi, was the Tp-link power adapter Gigabit or 1300mbps as well? Is your ethernet adapter in the laptop gigabit capable? What kind of ethernet cable cat5? Cat6 or Cat7?
Hi, the tp-link adaper was Gigabit and yes the laptop adaper was also Gigabit, cables Cat6 everywhere! do you have the same kind of results? hope you have subscribe 😊🙏😊
Amazing video, thank you so much.
How do you get approval from isp
Hello, not sure I understand your question?

@@dorianascomedy Yes you shop local for an internet provider! I recommend optical fiber 😊🙏
Helloooo sister 👋🏾
Hey my friend Gee 😁
You don’t get it do you? 🙈😂 they’re meant for where wifi doesn’t reach.
Wifi would most likely reach further then this 🤔
U ever wonder why?
I am really not sure, definitely not a perfect science! my house is not even 20 year old so its not like its an old electric circuit 😳😳😊
Wired is better then WiFi for gaming
Yes definitely in theory 👍 but results may vary! Thanks for your comment, hope you have join the channel? 😊🙏😊
Why the robot voice?
But holy shit I'm jealous of your internet. I'd kill for that speed
Hey! the voice over? its way faster to do video like that😊 I will used. y own voice when I have more time one day😁 What is your internet speed? I hope you have join the channel? 🙏😊

@@uselesstutorials1153 yeah no problem your videos are great
did this lady really js dox herself to do a tutorial...
imagine creating something that gets worse speed than wifi
Also that wifi speed can be better with WiFi 6
@@haxboi5492I’m pretty sure it’s because of the cable she used. The one it came with is horrid. After buying a new I got a cat8. Speeds tripled. Every little thing counts.
cat-5 cable comes with it, they are redundant and don't achieve speeds over 100mbps... cat-6e can achieve 10gbps. Terrible video.
Then imagine it protects you from being exposed to EMF with 5GHz of frequency 24/7 with negative effects on your health.
(1:01) I sense that those two sockets happen to be on the same electrical circuit, hence the faster speeds compared to other rooms in the same house.
This video really shows why I prefer to keep powerline adaptors on the same electrical circuit. I know they would be on the same circuit because I would switch off each circuit breaker and make notes of which sockets, fixtures, etc, in which rooms lose power.
I have network cabling in surface trunking throughout the flat I live in, but they don't reach to all rooms and I can't yet afford to get new cables installed with new trunking, so I'm looking into getting a pair of powerline adaptors that would be connected from one of the network points on a wall to a socket then another adaptor would be connected to a socket on the SAME electrical circuit and connected to the device I want to use it with.
Edit: I live in an older flat in Singapore. Unlike newer flats, older ones had solid walls which didn't allow wiring and plumbing to be run inside the walls, hence the trunking and piping on the walls.
Your wifi isnt normal
Hello, what do you mean? 🤔😊
@@uselesstutorials1153 normal wifi isnt a gigibit in most of the world therefore this video is only useful to people with your set up, which again isnt many
@@kyeshand5256 Agree with you but the objective was to see if the adapter can reach the speed they pretend they reach. Regards
Looks like not something to buy!
Its Hit and Missed with these adapters! it was working great at our old house and now really disappointing! not a perfect science! thanks for your visit 😊🙏
Wish I saw this video before buying the bloody thing ffs
