The trk has been brilliant, we've taken ours to Belgium and back and Limerick and back, 2up fully loaded and it didn't miss a beat. And we suffered severe weather on both trios and the quality of the paintwork shone through. The larger benellis all get quality controlled in Italy which is why they have much better reliability ad quality than the small benellis. The brakes are insanely good as is the suspension. I would recommend to anyone wanting a bargain, high quality tourer. You just have to plan overtakes early 😁👍
Best review on the TRK502X, great work. Absolute unicorn of a machine. The chassis is way more than the engine demands, and the engine way more than a 500 has the right to be. Toured Europe a few times, once for a week 2-up with all the boxes...effortless and the engine doesn't seem to notice the extra load. Tried the re-gearing thing...taking it out of the factory set-up made it slower. Went back to standard and fitted the DID525 chain kit. Agree completely on the physical size, awesome engine note, standard features, etc., etc. Was going to swap for a 1250GS but real-road riding revealed the 502X is just more nimble, more fun. Ignore the spec. sheets. And don't have any more $$$ sitting idle in your garage most of the time, this bike does it all. Apart from risk the licence every time you use it.
Oem battery didn't last long, no problem since changing it, rear shock replaced under warranty, no problem. Not needed to order any parts as no other issues. I've been riding 40 years and I must say a brilliant all round bike.
@@TheDorsetRider I’ve seen the rear shock came up for another review too so maybe a common issue but that’s fine, I would bet there’s a upgrade available for when it happens, it’s not game over. Same for the battery, no problem to drop in a quality one after 6 months use
Around 7000 miles, no issues at all and never had a problem getting accessories or consumables. I’m 5’7 too with 31 inch inside leg and we’ve fitted a lowering kit which allows me to flat foot comfortably.
Had a 502x for over a year , performance was reasonable ,handling ,comfort ,brakes were excellent for the price and I enjoyed every mile I did on it. It's a no brainer.........plus it looks really good and yes the exhaust note is lovely.....
I've had mine five years, 16000 miles in all weather. I commute five days a week, camping trips and green lane on it, too. The only issues I've had are the original chain is weak (snapped on a very steep green lane) and the rear brake wasn't too good (since remedied with better pads). It's top heavy when fully fueled but the weight disappears once the bike is moving. Handling is very good, power is more than enough. If you can't have fun with 47bhp then you're doing something wrong. I've been green laning with KTM 500, 690, 790, 890, WR250, T7, etc, and it's done everything they've done, albeit a bit slower. It's better than it should be 'off road', the suspension is only adequate at lower speeds and you have to pick your line carefully. It's a brilliant bike.
Thank you for sharing! I love to read about your experience. I would be careful taking this green laneing seems a bit heavy. It does feel like a fun bike I have to say Was your bike also vibrating if so has that gone away after a thousand or so miles?
Owned one for a year. Been super reliable no issues. One of the most comfy bikes I've owned. Had many other bikes including 2 honda africa twins while they are also excellent bikes. I can't fault the TRK for the money would definitely recommend.
I looked at the TRK502 when I was considering a touring bike. I think I was fooled by the spec sheet as it looked a little on the heavy side for the size of motor so in the end I went for a VStrom 650. At Motorcycle Live last week I had a really good look at and a sit on the 702 and thought it had a better riding position that either the CFMoto MT800 or the VStrom 800RE. Ignore the Chinese bikes at your peril, they are listening to what customers want and then providing it.
12 months on crappy NZ roads, 20,000km not missed a beat. Taken me to work and through endless twisty explorations. Happiest at 50-60mph 80-100kph - and with enforcement being what it is, after 26 bikes and 45 years of riding on 3 continents, it has my support. Longevity? Who knows - but I bought a premium BMW tourer once that they swapped at no extra charge after 12 months of various and persistent failure. All I'd say is if you're touring routinely two-up, consider its bigger 702 brother
I have just clicked over 10,000ks on mine, just got back from a tour of the Victorian high country, through serious dirt back roads etc fully loaded with top box on standard metzler tyres . Then some of the best twistie bitumen roads in Australia to make my way home. About 1500ks in 3 days . I have never had any issues with this bike at all. Absolutely love it and smile every time I gear down with the burble of the exhaust. For the money and depending on what you need from a bike I don’t reckon you can get any better.
Soo many amazing reviews and such love for this bike, lots of them on the roads in Spain and Portugal where we are touring yet not much consumer confidence in them in the uk yet
Couldn’t agree with you more… I took the exact same bike out for a test run across Dartmoor two weeks ago, very impressed indeed. I have my name down to test the 702x when a demonstrator becomes available.
Looks like good value, sounds great and if its as comfortable as you say, a brilliant buy. I wouldnt be too worried about its construction in China, they seem to make some decent stuff now and we were all wary about Japanese quality 50 years ago, they took the world to the cleaners.
me also from Malaysia.bought mine on May 2021 .i rode not much, just only reached 20,000km till this date.all maintenance done DIY.no problem so far.just change the engine oil and tyre when due.i'm lovin it.
Great video ... I knew you would like it ... I had a yellow one and often regret selling it, I am certainly thinking about the 720x and might chop my V-Strom in next year when some used ones come on the market ... Benelli have nailed it mate
Honestly I went there ready to slate the Chinese bike… But I’m a honest fair bloke and this bike deserves credit at that value, are parts easy to come by in the uk?
As a previous commentator said the engine is not a copy of the Honda CB500Xs it's a standalone Benelli unit. Also this engine in 400 format is now used in the Harley Davidson scrambler available in India. The new Benelli 702 version of this bike uses a copy of the Kawasaki Versys 650 engine and is a very similar machine.
Lovely review. I'll be doing my full licence in a few weeks. Currently riding on a Benelli BN 125, and I am very happy with it, great bike to getting to grips with things, but am looking and bikes in this range to upgrade too once I've passed. Also, I thought I recognised the roads where you are, only to realise I live in the same area. Good work, keep it up.
This bike has been around since 2018 so certainly not new to the market. Good value for sure with a good reliability record quite fancy one myself, some owners have fitted a 15 tooth front sprocket with positive results. I’m also interested in the new TRK 702 which looks bang up to date 👍
Hi definitely makes a big difference I find it a lot more relaxing to ride drops the revs by about 500tpm across the range. I did 1700 in 6 days doing the NC500 first time on the standard gearing second time with the 15 tooth front sprocket second time was a lot better hope this helps
Great review none of the crazy detail tgat most reviewers add to pad out the dialogue ... i bought a kemi jacket which im testing out next week as im in torquay for a funeral ... keep the content coming
Yes I leave all the jargon out for others to explain, I’m just here to find out if it’s any good or not! I’d love to hear from people with experience riding these long term with regards to reliability
Great review. Be interested to hear what you think of the 702 and if the extra power is less vibey. Certainly on my list to review for an upgrade next year.
I was very impressed by this bike and can’t wait to try the new 702 with 70hp, it could well be the unicorn bike! Review will be up as soon as it’s in the shop
@@ontheroadadventure very true, I use my bike here in Ireland in all weather's plus I do a lot of lite off road and forestry etc and the bike has worked out a treat I won't ever pay attention to specs and just drive the bike and for sure iam surprised with how good it is, I would be confident in saying I could jump on the bike tommorow and tour Europe, a cracking bike for the price
I do agree I am an owner of 2022 since last October and already add 12,000 km of enjoyment, I am looking for next release of 1000+ CC to change from my trk 502x
I just bought the Benelli Leoncino 500 which is also “Bella!” Would love to get the TRK as a second bike for some touring and light adventuring - maybe next year 😅
I was so impressed by this bike and I’m waiting for a 702 to come to our local dealer and il get out on that asap. It’s looking to be another Excellent machine from Benelli. I’d love to test one long term
Very nice review. I'm the same height as you and have been considering this bike but wasn't sure if I would fit. Also, I've heard that the speedo is about 15% optimistic.
Know problem with parts motoGB are really good. I've put a 15 tooth front sprocket. Ordered from Italy arrived in 3 days plenty of accessories available guvi touring screen fitted Really great bike
Hiya rich,I was in m&p in Swansea today & had a good look around one of these sit on ect, they had this one for sale at £5999 with all the aluminium cases & top box included, apparently made by givi ? . Amazing value especially if you’re the more mature rider and get 6 year of fun & sell it on for what ? 2-3 grand great vfm .👏🏴✊KTF. Oooops just got to the bit where u mention the luggage 😂😂😂
bro, I am from China, the new 552 has been released in China few month ago 270 degrees 60bhp 55nm and lighter than 502, about 8kg,Then there are three levels of adjustable seat heating and handlebar heating. I think I will definitely buy one
Have a trk 502 not the x but basically the same, been great so far 6000 not used as much as I would like but often commuting into London. Vibes lesson as the miles go up, well mine did. 60 plus mpg. I fitted heated grips and shad panniers.
Cracking review Rich, I love this bike, it's such good value for money, it looked like it had illuminated switch-gear too? I'm assuming the can was standard? But what a lovely sound 🔊💕
Good vid for the money they are good value for money, I have seen one of these with 40000 miles on usd all year and like new no matter what bike you have even top brands if you don't look after them they will rust. Enjoyed the European trip. Stay both no biking in the Midlands today snow.
Had TRK 2021 502 (non X) 30 trouble free months, best bike for the money I’ve ever owned including when new in 2019 the Triumph Tiger XrX - not as powerful but if you’re not looking for blistering power and want a relaxed comfy ride can’t beat this bike for the money. I’m considering replacing for the newer TRK 702. Problem is this bike is so good not sure I want to change it.
I find it astonishing how much these bikes get slated here in the uk, and yet never by owners… Just look through the comment section of this and everyone who has owned one has nothing but love for it! So why is it Benelli and other Chinese brands still can’t get the consumers faith?
@@ontheroadadventure Possibly because some U.K. motorcyclist are biased towards “big brand names” much the same as some people are biased towards big name brands in life and would never wear anything from Primark or other “lesser” brands, or ever consider anything other than a Nikon or Canon camera. My Benelli TRK 502 has truly surprised me in a good way on every aspect of the motorcycle ownership. My understanding is that some major manufacturers have motorcycles or cars produced in China. The other thing for Benelli, apart from being reliable and extremely good value for money is that the parent company Geely Holding owns a number of brands including Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, Zeekr, Geometry, Volvo Cars, Polestar, Proton Cars, Lotus, London Electric Vehicle Company, Farizon Auto, Terrafugia, Cao Cao Mobility, Qianjiang Motorcycle, Joma, Saxo Bank, and Mitime Group Some big known brands there that people are happy to buy. Wonder how many people drive a vehicle either produced by the company or some major component in their cars is produced by them. London Electric Vehicle Company make London electric taxis 😉 levc.com I’m not saying that owning Chinese vehicles is great for U.K. economy but what other choices are there at reasonable prices. R.E another great brand non U.K. at reasonable prices if don’t fancy Chinese - though on a personal basis from what I have experienced and seen I believe the Chinese are now ahead of the Indian RE brand for build quality and pricing and on par with Honda, Triumph etc. I’ve checked various reliability reports online and some of the most unreliable brands are the biggest and most expensive traditional brands. The quality of bolts - I’ve owned several big brand names motorcycles, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and a few others they all suffered from corrosion on aluminium engine parts and bolts if not coated with ACF-50 for the winter months.
I agree with all you have said. I’d like the opportunity to do a long term test and review if the Benelli and show people first hand what they have to offer
I'd sort of assumed it would be a 702 on your earlier post. For the money you can't go wrong, by the time you knock off £1500 for the luggage and say £500 for the centre stand and crash bars (which is what it cost on our Tigers) it makes it a £4500 bike in real terms. Can't really fault the looks, stand out things for me were the bolts that secure the mirrors to the bars as they looked a bit cheap and unfinished and wasn't overly keen on the usb port, again it looked a bit cheap. However both those points are negligible in the scheme of things. Now you need to try the 702x
Yes sure I agree some small bits looked cheap…. However it is cheap! Like 10k cheaper than an Africa twin if you like for like with the extras…. I can live with that provided it’s reliable
Nice review 👍 I have a 2021 plate road version. No issues with it at all.Servicing is a breeze. All parts are available direct from China through the TRK owners group UK.Dealers in UK are poor for spares stock.Ive got 10500 miles on the clock and no reliability issues.Superb commuter, road touring bike which is a bit vibey but I cannot fault it for the value for money.
@@ontheroadadventure about one week for any part to arrive.I upgraded the exhaust, air filter chain and sprocket as well as the spark plugs. There is a huge aftermarket parts catalogue across Europe. These bikes outsell the GS in Europe.
Think its a good looking bike, Not agreeing with the servicing intervals tho Honda, triumph 8k & 10k But its a shame that occasionally a good cheap bike slips through without the recognition they deserve My concern would be using this on a very big trip Its heavy to ride every day + luggage, will parts be easy to obtain in europe, dealer back up in europe Having had problems in the past on enfields I would need to be convinced as they told me it wouldnt be a problem ( and it was ) But if your doing the odd trip away and are on a budget, it could be worth a go Are they going to stop making this model now there is a trk 702 Maybe thats why there doing such a good deal Nice video Wheres the misses Have you had a row 😅
Looking at the comments getting parts doesn’t seem to be a problem, these bikes are now becoming so popular that dealers all over Europe can be found. It is on the heavy side though but if it’s built like a tank then I don’t mind… The new 702 could well explain the bargain deals but I think this one will be relatively cheap too, we will see. Ewa was there with me, you’ll see more in tonight’s video 👍
I think the reason they sound so good is because it has a 360 degree crank '' both pistons travelling parallel to each other ''. I could be wrong. It is possible !!
I have the standard (road version) and it comes with two seat heights. I'm nudging 6 foot but with DNA resembling a strategically shaved chimp mean my inseam is about that of your average 5'8"-5'10" rider and I use the 'shorty' seat - and it's bloody great. Plus a cavernous fuel tank that I managed to get over 600km out of it at steady highway speeds, and it still showed 1 bar on the fuel gauge. These are much under-valued bikes. I think there's some "it's made in China" but in Oz and NZ even Triumphs are assembled in Thailand, so I say, get over it. You're missing out otherwise
I am beginning to see real value in these benelli motorcycles, I rode the 800 leoncino today with the 750 engine, 80hp…. Is that’s what’s in the new TRK 702?
Certainly not a Honda based engine, it is 100% Benelli, has a 360 degree crank whereas the Honda's is 180 degrees it is also why it sounds good and has decent low end torque
You commented that you wasn’t sure about reliability, from what I’ve read its been the best selling bike in Italy for the last 3 years so I’m guessing that the reliability must be good on these machines
It’s beginning to look that way, but are the spares readily available here? It’s these questions benelli need to prove beyond doubt to get the confidence in the brand they need to sell as many here in the uk
We would love them to see the opportunity here, we are all about encouraging people to get out and ride more and affordable motorcycles can help make that happen@@nigel7768
I was running a triumph 800 xca along side the trk. How I ended up doing that I don't remember, retail therapy possibly. The trk was actually my preferred daily but one had to go and the trk sold first .
@@ontheroadadventure I never needed any bits other than oil filters. Put about 6000 miles on it. Actually I went up a tooth on the front sprocket, sourced that from Italy. Best selling bike in it's class in Italy......apparently.
I'm 6'7" had a DL650 before which i loved but had to sell because i was moving. Now i have no bike, and wondering if this would be a good option for a small budget. Used it's about half the price of a CB500X or Versys 650, and i like this looks better and it's taller. The DL650 was almost too small for me, i got a taller seat for it. Wondering if this will be better than no bike, or i will just have issues with it.
This will definitely suit your height better than the cb500 for sure. Have a look at the comments here and take note of owners reviews… it’s hard to find a bad one. This is also now Italys best selling bike I believe, must be for good reason. At around £3k for a used one I think it’s a great deal
I don't think the price comparison to a AT or GS is appropriate, the CB500X is where this bike is pitched. The equipment level is far superior that the CB, and it looks as if it has back lit switchgear as well which is an excellent feature. Sadly, I dont think a price difference of £200 OTR would swing it. Two issues, as per community post, long term ownership issue of being able to get spares for it across its life span, and it's actually £20 pm more expensive on a PCP (the devils work) than the Honda. Benelli would have been better selling it without all the add on's, save money on the crash bars and luggage and selling the base bike for £5,000. Looking at the price of the TRK502 non X model (cast wheels, low slung pipe), I suspect that would likely to be possible. You would tempt a cash buyer at that price point. The key would be long term ownership though, get your value from the bike by using it. You wouldnt expect it to hold its value comparably to the Honda. PS : I aint a Honda fan boy. I'd never buy another Honda after my 2016 AT Experience, which funnily enough I'm also resigned to keeping it as a long term hack, as there are too many low mile garage queens on the market for mine to have any second hand value with its high mileage.
I see what you’re saying but I liked this bike more than the cb500x. It feels much bigger and more comfortable, the noise is better and although in places yes it feels cheap, it also feels heavy and sturdy and I reckon would stand upto some real abuse. I like that this bike comes out the shop ready to go with the crash bars, hand guards, Givi luggage, centre stand etc… saves me a job! Glad to hear your putting real miles on your AT that’s what they are there for! Use and abuse it!
I sugeat you do your reserch the trk 502x will do 100mph easily, probably more. I've seen it done and the 502 will do 115mph - 120mph ive seen it dont too. I own a benelli trk502 2021-2022 . I e had it just over two years now never had an issue with it and as far a speed wise i have done 80mph with ease ive not had the chance to take it to its top end but i know without doubt it will reach well over 100mph and not be laging.
You said you don't think the bike is designed to do 100mph it is designed to do that. The Italians would not design the bike if it was not capable of doing it, and more when buying a motorbike from new, it has to be broken in slowly for it to work ar it's full capacity. As far as the vibration in the pegs, that's because of cause as you said it is a new bike, but it eventually disappears. You can loos the vibration quicker by removing the rubber on the pegs and just have the jaggerd pegs as I have done that as I wear sidi adventure boots, those rubber peg rests are designed to be removed you will see the nuts underneath . I have a DNA air filter in mine. It's much better throttle control far better, much better than the standard fome one air filter, and I've replaced the break pads to sintered copper as they last longer and work extremely well and they don't clog up the caliper with the grime you get from the standerd pads.
@@angelodrosi8470 I was referring to it not being designed to do 100mph as in it is not a sports bike, its purpose is not to go fast but to go far…. But indeed the bike far exceeds expectations and does go fast especially for such a small capacity bike. I would bet there are further gains to be achieved with a fuel controller and set up too 👍
Done just over 13000 miles in the 3yrs I've had mine. Never let me down. Done the NC500 twice planning taking it to Norway next year. Check out Zero Highways on here he's covered 86000klm on his
Well on the one hand it does mean they will touch down first and protect the bike, but yes it does make the bike wide, but no wide than putting panniers on
I’m sure this bike will do a ton, but yes that is at its maximum capacity. The 700 version will have about 70 horses and should be more comfortable at motorway speeds
@@ontheroadadventure I’ve had my trk about a year it’s got six thousand miles on it and no rust . Me and a few lads from work did four hundred mile ride in one day and it ran like a dream 👍
@@ontheroadadventure I don’t pay attention to the reg plates , but the Suzuki dealership in Malaga has been selling them for at least 4 years (introduced in 2017 according to wiki) and half their showroom is now Benelli. I assume they must be OK for them to have continued and expanded their presence at the dealership. Now also seeing more Voge and CFMoto bikes but surprisingly not many Royal Enfield’s, even though the dealership is in the same area as the Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha ones. Incomes are lower here and biking is very popular, so it’s not surprising
It looks great value but how many have done serious miles? I considered a Benelli TNT when buying the Monkey but couldn’t find any with a decent mileage. They may well do it but I haven’t seen much evidence as yet. I hope it becomes a proven machine. At just under £6k it’s a steal
Its already proven mate .. have a look at the owners club and see many doing long trips, good mileages, there are niggles as with any bike but it won't be going home on an AA flatbed like many £18,000 GS's, living in Dealers workshops like many KTM's ... the new 720x looks a peach

Smart of Royal Enfield to keep the price low in its own country, I bet 9/10 ride RE for that reason. Makes your choice when buying a bike very easy! So what does the new Himalayan cost you there?
Hmm. Suits you sir. Great looking, great sounding. Was italy's top selling bikes a couple of years ago. Good test. No unnecessary nonsense. Is it top heavy being that high? And how did it compare with the 500x you hired in Sicily? I do think the sweet spot for most peoples' needs is 500 to 800cc. Ride safe and happy travels 👍
Thanks bud, yes this bike is selling in big numbers and I think it’s only going to get more popular. Yes it is a heavy bike, but I prefer that to the lightness of the cb500x which was getting blown around in the wind on our Sicily trip.

Watch Zero Highways , he put 85000 km on one and a lot was off road in Europe and India, I've also had one for 2 years and not had any problems, love it.
This is No 9k bike. This is 6.5k fully loaded with Givi panniers. The panniers and rack alone should be £1500! You can pick up used ones for 3.5k on eBay with low miles
The triumph 400 is made in India, KTM is now built by CFMoto china…. Personally I don’t think it matters anymore where it’s made, it’s either a good product or it’s not.
Well hopefully the 702 is going to be the unicorn we are all searching for! I can’t wait to try it
I don't know, the 502 has all the power you need and much cheaper to run! 👍
Another glowing report! How many miles have you done and what niggles have you encountered?
Had mine 18 months, 9000 miles. Never missed a beat. Great on back roads and motorway's, would highly recommend.
Have you tried ordering parts? All bikes have there common faults, what is the benellis troubles?

Had a 502x for over a year , performance was reasonable ,handling ,comfort ,brakes were excellent for the price and I enjoyed every mile I did on it. It's a no brainer.........plus it looks really good and yes the exhaust note is lovely.....
What made you part with it?
It does feel like a fun bike I have to say
Was your bike also vibrating if so has that gone away after a thousand or so miles?
I don't really notice any vibes.
How long have you had yours? I expect the vibes to ease off after a few thousand miles and an oil change?
What's the price and availability of spare parts like?
Owned one for a year. Been super reliable no issues.
One of the most comfy bikes I've owned. Had many other bikes including 2 honda africa twins while they are also excellent bikes. I can't fault the TRK for the money would definitely recommend.
I commented on the comfort too, the seat was so plush. Did you find the vibes an issue?
No, I can't say I have, mine is a 2020 model and has the large removable rubber footpegs.
@@jammyone100 The one I rode was brand new, often these engines need a couple K so break in a bit and the first oil change is important too
I looked at the TRK502 when I was considering a touring bike.
I think you could be right, they are improving at a fast rate
12 months on crappy NZ roads, 20,000km not missed a beat. Taken me to work and through endless twisty explorations. Happiest at 50-60mph 80-100kph - and with enforcement being what it is, after 26 bikes and 45 years of riding on 3 continents, it has my support. Longevity? Who knows - but I bought a premium BMW tourer once that they swapped at no extra charge after 12 months of various and persistent failure. All I'd say is if you're touring routinely two-up, consider its bigger 702 brother
Excellent review for the 502! Enjoy bud
Are you tempted at these prices? Do you have the faith in the chinese bikes yet? I also cannot wait to ride the 702x - The unicorn bike could be real!
Looks like good value, sounds great and if its as comfortable as you say, a brilliant buy. I wouldnt be too worried about its construction in China, they seem to make some decent stuff now and we were all wary about Japanese quality 50 years ago, they took the world to the cleaners.
I think the Chinese bikes will do the same, We need good quality bikes at a budget price, these look like win win win 🥇
Mine already 2 years and performing well. Worth buying, a bike that suits my travelling ride.. regards from malaysia❤

I had nothing but good to say about it to be honest, can’t wait for the benelli 702
Hopefully we will find that out!
Great to hear this from real owners
Excellent owners reviews who have put proper miles on these bikes is what’s needed to build the brands reputation, the deal looks almost unbeatable
Thanks bud, we are looking forward to getting hold of the 702 soon. The Harley scrambler sounds interesting we don’t have that here I don’t think
It's unfortunate that the 702 has a copied 650 Kawasaki engine as it has different crank configuration to the 502 so possibly won't sound as nice.

The engine is Benellis own, with a 360 degree crank. It's no Honda copy it's the Voge with the Honda clone motor.
interesting, We were told by the dealer it is the copy of the Honda engine used in the rebel etc?
Looking at getting a 2019 model out here in Bangkok, low miles and around 3000 quid.
Sounds like a bargain to me!

Possibly because some U.K. motorcyclist are biased towards “big brand names” much the same as some people are biased towards big name brands in life and would never wear anything from Primark or other “lesser” brands, or ever consider anything other than a Nikon or Canon camera.
My Benelli TRK 502 has truly surprised me in a good way on every aspect of the motorcycle ownership.
My understanding is that some major manufacturers have motorcycles or cars produced in China.
The other thing for Benelli, apart from being reliable and extremely good value for money is that the parent company Geely Holding owns a number of brands including Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, Zeekr, Geometry, Volvo Cars, Polestar, Proton Cars, Lotus, London Electric Vehicle Company, Farizon Auto, Terrafugia, Cao Cao Mobility, Qianjiang Motorcycle, Joma, Saxo Bank, and Mitime Group
Some big known brands there that people are happy to buy. Wonder how many people drive a vehicle either produced by the company or some major component in their cars is produced by them.
London Electric Vehicle Company
make London electric taxis 😉

I’m not saying that owning Chinese vehicles is great for U.K. economy but what other choices are there at reasonable prices.
I will do 702 as soon as the shop gets it in for me
Benelli very popular in Italy and Europe you should try the new Benelli 702 much better? Seen for £6699 and a inch lower then the 500
I can’t wait to get my hands on one, won’t be long hopefully 🤞
Nice review 👍 I have a 2021 plate road version. No issues with it at all.Servicing is a breeze. All parts are available direct from China through the TRK owners group UK.Dealers in UK are poor for spares stock.Ive got 10500 miles on the clock and no reliability issues.Superb commuter, road touring bike which is a bit vibey but I cannot fault it for the value for money.
So how long does it take for parts to arrive? Vibes was the only thing I could find to moan about, but it is a twin cylinder so part of its charm
@@ontheroadadventure about one week for any part to arrive.I upgraded the exhaust, air filter chain and sprocket as well as the spark plugs. There is a huge aftermarket parts catalogue across Europe. These bikes outsell the GS in Europe.

Honda, triumph 8k & 10k
But its a shame that occasionally a good cheap bike slips through without the recognition they deserve
My concern would be using this on a very big trip
Its heavy to ride every day + luggage, will parts be easy to obtain in europe, dealer back up in europe
Having had problems in the past on enfields I would need to be convinced as they told me it wouldnt be a problem ( and it was )
But if your doing the odd trip away and are on a budget, it could be worth a go
Are they going to stop making this model now there is a trk 702

Looking at the comments getting parts doesn’t seem to be a problem, these bikes are now becoming so popular that dealers all over Europe can be found. It is on the heavy side though but if it’s built like a tank then I don’t mind… The new 702 could well explain the bargain deals but I think this one will be relatively cheap too, we will see.
Ewa was there with me, you’ll see more in tonight’s video 👍
I think the reason they sound so good is because it has a 360 degree crank '' both pistons travelling parallel to each other ''. I could be wrong. It is possible !!
I’m not sure but it’s one of the best stock sounds I’ve heard!
I think it's 270 degrees crank
@@mbz4652 Iv'e just googled it and MCN do say it has a 360 crank.
I believe you are right, and I agree with all you say. I think it sounds great too
You commented that you wasn’t sure about reliability, from what I’ve read its been the best selling bike in Italy for the last 3 years so I’m guessing that the reliability must be good on these machines
It’s beginning to look that way, but are the spares readily available here? It’s these questions benelli need to prove beyond doubt to get the confidence in the brand they need to sell as many here in the uk

@@ontheroadadventure I never needed any bits other than oil filters. Put about 6000 miles on it. Actually I went up a tooth on the front sprocket, sourced that from Italy. Best selling bike in it's class in Italy......apparently.
@@johnstonstewart2298 I’ve heard very few negative comments on the bike and all for about 6k! Makes us feel a bit silly on Africa twins!
Defo similar looking to a GS..would be interesting to see what the 702 is like..
I will bring you a video as soon as it’s available to the shop here
I sugeat you do your reserch the trk 502x will do 100mph easily, probably more.
I think you may have misunderstood what I said! This bike will absolutely do 100mph! I have nothing but positive comments for this bike!

@@ontheroadadventure
I looked for them on cycle trader and they are not real common. I would definitely consider one myself
Which country are you from?
@@ontheroadadventure
USA
@@MrWhitelightning73 These are massively popular in Italy and across Europe, and growing rapidly in the uk. I’d like to get my hands on one for a long term test but we need Benelli’s help for that
Hmmmm now you've got me thinking.... 🤔
You and me both mate!
Benelli ❤👍
Yes, i was very impressed by the 502 x and look forward to riding the 702
For £500 more you can get the 702x, 70bhp make no sense thinking of buying one myself.
I cannot wait to try one! Won’t be long
Isn’t the 702 also being reported as being a bit lighter than the 502 as well?
@@nigel7768 I’m not sure yet but I’m promised a ride review as soon as it comes into our local dealer
A2 compliant for the 502.
Had my TRK 502x 11 months, put 140000 kms on it, never had an issue except centre stand bolts came loose, Ridden 2 up with luggage full, no problems, tyres only just need replacing now at 14000kms
Have you got any experience with warranty claims or finding parts? Are you in the uk?
@ontheroadadventure we are in New Zealand, warranty on centre stand was no issue at all,
@@karlblumenthal1 You’ve only had to change a centre stand in 140k?
@ontheroadadventure Ahhh sorry, I put an extra 0 on there, its 14 thousand kms, will change the original comment now if I can lol
@@karlblumenthal1 well that’s a Anticlimax 😂 Now you got some catching up to do!
How much is it Rich ?
About 6k with full Givi luggage!
@@ontheroadadventure seems like a good deal but long term reliability and service back up is still an unknown and also resale value has to be a consideration before purchasing.
@@daveo226 Well the shop is offering two years warranty parts and labour, I like that there’s not too much electronics too so I feel like it would be easy to work on. Parts availability I’m not sure on but others seem to be achieving good mileage on them
@@ontheroadadventure time will tell with this one 👍
@@daveo226 I’m just impatient!
It could be too early for these bikes, not enough people did big miles on them to know what ands if any problems
Check out Bike Rider Reviews and Zero Highways. Both have done high mileage on theirs.
Been out for a good while in Europe, best selling bike in Italy and look on youtube for Zerohighways ... 75000 miles across continents and most of those miles off road ... as reliable as anything out there, amazing value
Seems these benelli TRK are big in Europe already
We will look it up,The big brands must be seeing these bikes emerge and thinking they are in trouble surely
Watch Zero Highways , he put 85000 km on one and a lot was off road in Europe and India, I've also had one for 2 years and not had any problems, love it.

Cheers for watching
Love how they say Budget lol £9000 bike lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is No 9k bike. This is 6.5k fully loaded with Givi panniers. The panniers and rack alone should be £1500! You can pick up used ones for 3.5k on eBay with low miles
@@ontheroadadventure brought mine for £3600 second hand with 3300 miles on it trk502 not the X
Absolute bargain, any problems or issues with yours so far? How many miles now?

Check out a youtuber
Zero highways
He has done many miles on the 502
Worth a watch
Thanks just started watching 👍
its to bloody high you'd think with all the small chinese people would make a bike to fit
These are massive in the European market, we see them all the time on tour

Lost me on that one...

Thanks for watching bud
@@ontheroadadventure You're welcome my friend, I wish you success.
We thank you 🙏
Would skip this machine as it's owned by Chinese parent company
The triumph 400 is made in India, KTM is now built by CFMoto china…. Personally I don’t think it matters anymore where it’s made, it’s either a good product or it’s not.
I think lots of bikes, cars and the products are made in China now.

It is not tall at all still shine of full size adventure bike. Youre not tallllll enough
🤣🤣🤣 That’s one way to look at it 👍
Too heavy ....
Have a look at voge rally for a lighter bike?
@ontheroadadventure yes. I'm actually preferring the Kove 500x
Those Koves look very interesting indeed
