Lovely combination of the spalted beech and oak ,cracking job mate .Ps what was the thickness of the spalted beech before you started .Cheers and take care Bram

Thank you Bram. Not always sure about mixing different woods as it dosn't always work but pleased with this combination. I did use ebonizing lacquer on the lid as you probably noticed from the photo's at the end, just thought it looked better.
The thickness of the spalted beech was 70mm.
