Thank you Bram. Not always sure about mixing different woods as it dosn't always work but pleased with this combination. I did use ebonizing lacquer on the lid as you probably noticed from the photo's at the end, just thought it looked better. The thickness of the spalted beech was 70mm. Thanks for watching.
