Thanks Doug. I usually use abrasive paste, however, as it was a piece of yew I decided to apply sanding sealer then a high gloss wax finish as an experiment, and I must say it came up great. I'm not sure you would get away with it on some other timbers. Thanks again

Nicely done Barry. Are you not using abrasive paste between the sanding sealer and the wax. I think it would add to you lovely finish.
