Thanks Bram. Lucky I have a few pieces of laburnum so have a couple of other project in mind. It's a lovely colour when oiled or waxed. Glad to see your shed is coming on well.

Beautiful grain and very elegant shape Barry, I particularly like the foot. Was the insert glass or plastic? I made a Davy lamp with a real glass lens and the movement of the wood cracked the glass!!

Thank you Bryan. The insert was plastic. I had a similar problem with glass cracking in another vase due to timber movement.
