Bottom line is... you can choose the completely wrong shock/ coil combination and still ride better than rough country lift lol. Good video 👌

Thanks for the video. I personally tried researching the deciding on suspension and I found myself spiraling down a rabbit hole. I ended up contacting accutune and talked with them extensively over several weeks. This was one of the best buying experiences of my life. I got fox 2.5 and couldn’t be happier. Shocks are matched to elka 650 in front and the overland springs in the rear(also made by elka I believe)this all made my life and my 4Runner much better and I could conquer other parts of the build. You all know the build that never ends. Cheers and happy safe wheeling to all

If you are interested in doing a public service then please get in touch with me so that we could talk. I got out of a 6 day hospital stay and 2 surgeries, one of which was extremely major and critical. It was the result of a slip and fall from a rtt ladder. No alcohol involved it was in the morning(just an fyi) I am not and have no interest in being a UA-camr nor do I care if my name is even used. I truly believe this story could help lots of people and I just want to share it but do not have a conduit to reach many people in this field or sport or however it’s properly described. If not then thanks anyway.

Did you check the nitrogen pressures before you installed the king shocks? They are usually shipped empty and you need to charge them. If you missed that step im surprised they made it to 5k before leaking.

Came here to find out where you got the wrap done and what color you used for the wrap and the wheels, stayed for how absolutely incredible your rig is

Green one was wrapped at Legacy Wrap in upland. The wheels I powder coated avocado green

@Sandy Cats dude it looks dope as hell and it's probably one of the best 5th gen builds I've seen in a long time

Great information always appreciated, any chance you could do a rig walk around on your wife's 4runner? I'm only asking because it sounds more like her 4runner is what most people are starting out with on average. Thanks again

If you look through my video history (not sure how to link it)… I have a walk around on the white 4runner (my wife’s)

Looking it up now, thank you for responding so quickly its always appreciated. One more question do you think its worth spending $4,000 on elkas or fox's if you mainly drive on the road, just wondering because it's my daily, and I'm just trying to get it as close to that ideal setup before comitting to spending a ton of money? I understand to each their own on their setups, but you actually try and truth the products so it is extremely helpful info your putting out there. Thanks again keep the videos coming

@@jdown86 if your spending 95% of the time on road and don’t plan on going fast on fire roads or doing anything extreme off-road. Not worth spending even close to 4K! I’d go for Bilstein 6112 shocks and an upper control arm. That would be more than enough. As long as you dial in your springs/coils…. You’ll have a good ride.

You should see if Accutune can get your kings working again. Don’t know anyone else who I’d try if they aren’t working properly after a fresh rebuild. They should be able to fix and and all parts that are broken inside the shock too

I agree. I’m just so bummed out from dealing with King I’m not too eager to put them on anything.

Unfortunately not. Definitely on my list though of a shock I want to try out.

    What about OME nitro shocks?
