I got the same build from LPWS 3 weeks ago, except mine has 3 ports on top. I haven’t shot it yet. I’ve never broke in a 2011 before. I’ve been just sitting around manipulating the slide and the safety. It was TIGHT as hell when I got it, but it’s close to buttery smooth now. I love it! What a beautiful handgun. Congrats on your new Chiraq! I’m looking forward to hear what you say after a couple thousand rounds.
I only find truly hard fit 1911 adn 2011's interesting. And I can tell you right now, the issues you are seeing is not, NOT due to being hard fit. Although true hard fit guns are tight and hard to unlock by hand, they run smooth as glass. Not the issues we are seeing here! If this company is claiming that their guns are hard fit, they do not understand the actual concept of how to do it.
It’s from hard fitting and cerakote breakin. And as you saw through the video it was getting better and better so as you are correct in some portions of your statement the cerakote side of it adds another portion that you are not correct.
Did you really say that it has an erratic ejection because you don’t like touching parts until they are broken in after literally listing all the “upgrades” you did to it before breaking it in?
Did u hear me say I replaced or retuned the ejector or extractor? Noooooo so that’s what I meant and I didn’t replace anything I retuned it to my style and did our PvD coating on the accent parts.
@@SkipsGunzYou said, “I try not to adjust stuff like that”, you didn’t say “extractor”. Good job calling out your customers for touching shit right after you touched shit. Just because you call changing the guide rod and plug, a recoil reduction, and a trigger job, returning it to “your style” doesn’t mean you aren’t touching shit before the break in. You’re speaking from both sides of your mouth. How do you not see this?
Got a 5" Chiraq a month ago and went on two range trips, put over 500 rounds through it so far. It certainly was hard fit, it was hard to rack had to manipulate the slide like 500 times in order to get it to be smoother. I was fearful of having lots of failures during the break in period. The first 450 rounds were flawless, no ftf/fte. The range trip this week only had one failure to go into battery out of 100 rounds, slide was 99% closed just had to tap the back of the slide to help it a bit. It is still not smooth enough to air rack however but the manipulation of the gun feels way better than when I first got it. Overall I am very happy with my first 2011 purchase.
What the hell did you create in that lab of yours now Einstein lets see once again the project has come ALIVE, IT'S ALIVE... Our 2A community Einstein at work. Skip what a coincidence I was talking to Carl yesterday in reference to the guide rod set up... What a interesting man he his, I love him and his wife what beautiful people..! But... Lol he is definitely old fashion lol...Which by the way can be a good thing!!! 😎
@@SkipsGunz what about commissioning you to build me a custom one-off SGZ style Omen? I’ll provide grip and EGW internals and you can supply the slide, frame, and barrel….

Air racks aren’t a quality check so aslong as she runs that’s awesome. Goodluck with it brother I got more videos coming sub up
Legion precision vs vudoo priest. what one.
Once the pvd on my ur an candyland is done will have that exact video for you my friend
I have always think that all gun models need a break in period to adapt all the pieces corectly.
Definitely a thing
You are about to get all of my guns! Lol! The Chiraq has my attention but do you know how it holds up to the Vanta 9?
I’m ready when you are
I love your modifications, always tasteful!
Thanks man I’m trying
When is carl shipping to surplus arme in pa? It’s been a year
No idea I don’t work there lol

Yeah I think he’s a great dude
What recoil spring WH eight are you running?
It’s apart of my recoil kit but you have to run the whole package because the spring alone u probably won’t have as much reliability once broken in
Understood. But what is the weight? If you don’t mind me asking.
Not really something I like telling people because it’s not recommended without tuning correctly.
8lbs at your own risk ⚠️
What color is the slide
Its similar to a gunmetal cerakote not sure the exact name
The chiraq is awesome 💯 but I’m still waiting until the Omen comes out before I buy a new 1911/2011 👍🏻😎👍🏻
At this point u might be waiting forever it’s definitely becoming a frustration that’s not worth the squeeze
