Your not worried about your dog grabbing that piece of wood sticking out of the tank?
The millennium wood is really cool to look at, but it needs a lot of prep work. I’m sure it’s worth it in the long run, if you’re willing to put in the effort what with water changes etc.
An absolutely stunning piece of wood with all its little twist and turns. It’s not very often you find a piece that could be used as a stand alone feature.

I think so long as the fish are going to a caring home then it is ok to turn them over with your scapes. Or you could stick with one school of fish and change the scape around them. Fish seem to like exploring a new environment, I think it's a type of enrichment. Of course, keeping only shrimp is ok, too. Shrimp tanks are cool. Nice job on the new scape, George. Take care.
Dont like the idea of rehoming just for rescaping at all.
Fish are not decoration.

My Grandma got really excited when she heard George say he's got lots of wood. We are going to buy her the GF Mankini Calendar for Christmas. She really likes him.
Interesting points about Co2 diffusion George. Is it possible to have an internal Co2 diffuser positioned near the intake of your cannister filter and basically difusing the Co2 gasses inside the filter media so by the time its outputted to the aquarium its fully diffused into the water column. ??

I also has a scape go "toxic" which I think was due to millennium wood. Soaked it for a month and I didn't put any livestock in because I was aware of the dangers. Mine was still leaching insane levels of tannins and when I abandoned the scape and took the wood out it absolutely stank. I think your soaking regime might sort the issue but it's definitely buyer beware!

Very professional in commentary. Gentle, polite and informative presentation and very balanced composition to my eye. Some close-up on fitting bits and pieces might help people, I think we have all misfitted things at times first time round!
