My son has changed his university. We have been delayed twice moving to FL and now I'm grateful for it. He did some research, chose a less expensive, but just as well known university, similar major, but the major he wanted will now be his minor. This won't pigeon hole him into one niche. He needs to finish his FAA licensing. He is certifified in power plant and now needs his airframe. (that's scheduled for Jan). He'll get a job before starting school in the fall. (save up some money, get some world experience, etc.) One step at a time.
Sorry to hear you had a reading funk. Palate cleansers are great for fixing that, but it's a matter of finding said palate cleanser. LOL

Sounds like his plan is to be a good one! My oldest went to community college the first two years, saved money and worked, and then transfered to complete 4yr degree - considering the covid year in there it was a wise way to go for him. Virginia has a pathways program that allows direct admission to 4yr college in-state dependent on GPA after community college status ... I'm assuming other states offer this - it's a great option.
