When you didn’t post for a couple days, I got a bit worried, so I prayed for you. 🙂I am so glad to hear you are well! Great progress on the stitching. Last night I started big girl Bridget Power. I’m hoping to stitch only the basket, border and the colorful block part at the bottom of the pattern. My friend Danielle says that when I stitch, I go “off road.” 😂. It’s almost Friday! ❤. Joyce

I agree. I really love having handmade/handcrafted items in my home, but I don’t want my house to look like a stitching shop. Beautiful fall colors there! We have golden aspens here in Colorado, but they pale in comparison to your Virginia trees. ❤. Joyce

Putting the fabric around the stitching is brilliant! It looks beautiful. Oh my~! Painting. I can relate to that. I need to find someone who can paint our cathedral walls or buy a scaffold and do it myself. It might be cheaper if I buy a scaffold. LOL Prometheus is going to take the doors off their hinges so I can spray paint them. We were going to have this done for selling the house, but since the world is in such chaos and we don't know what's going to happen, he has changed his choice of university. but painting. Yes, all the wall items have to be taken down, wiped down, the walls need to be cleaned, then painted. It's a big undertaking. Do you have a paint color in mind?

I can't stand trying to work from 2 pages like that and I always get confused and make mistakes and then I end up avoiding the project. Nowadays I make working copies of the two pages and tape them together and then it is easy, and I have no problem. Your sampler is very beautiful!

The trees in your neighborhood look beautiful! My tenth grade science teacher would put his skeleton in the hallway and when students walked by he had a speaker in the skeleton and so it seemed like it was talking. Sometimes my friend and I would stand next to it chatting with the teacher. LOL He was kooky, but he made learning fun. And yes, it got hot here too. Way too hot.

The Red House sampler that you are working on is one of my very first Scarlet Letter samplers that I stitched long ago. I believe I purchased the kit from your mother at Crossed Canoes. I loved her shop. I remember Mary, as well as your mother, Lucy, and even meeting you there in your youth. It is so nice that you still enjoy needlework. How have I lived all my life without bone dishes? Today I was researching something online and the website has this "decoration" separating a section and I enlarged it and took a picture of it, because I thought, "oh, those would be beautiful cross stitch patterns." They reminded me of the pattern you're working on now. Look what you've done to me. Now I'm seeing patterns. LOL How was smashburger? I've never heard of them. We don't have one near us.

I went to a knitting group for awhile years ago. I never felt like I fit in…so I stopped going… I am shy…so putting myself out there was hard. And then they always made me feel left out. I never got up the nerve or desire to try again!
