In this video I show you how to permanently fix the
"UAD driver not installed error"
Open a new "Terminal" and copy and paste this code:
sudo kmutil load -p /Library/Extensions/UAD2System.kext
Press - Shift/Command/G
~/Library/Preferences/
UAD Archives (Download version 9.13.1)

Ayeee this tha one! I ended up needing to get a new thunderbolt cable. They gave me a used one by accident and my apollo wouldn't connect until i got the new cable and followed these steps. Thanks Bruh!

For those still struggling to get it to work, I got figured it out. Uninstall everything that has to do with UAD, then you have to disable your SIP settings in recovery mode then restart your computer then open UAD installer and install UAD then restart, after your computer comes back on, UAD should be working. Once it’s working, turn your SIP settings back on in recovery mode and restart!

Can you recommend anything for someone using Big Sur 11.4 who has downloaded the update and gone through all the proper steps, except when I'm prompted to restart I do and then when I log back in there is not message for me to "allow" in my security prefereances ??

Would it still work if my Mac tower doesn’t have the latest update? I believe it was last updated 2015 & I have the UAD SATELLITE that plugs right in to computer?
How to manually allow Console keystroke passthrough
Follow the steps below to manually enable Apollo/Arrow Console keystroke passthrough. These steps may be necessary if “Open System Preferences” isn’t clicked in the Accessibility Access (Events) dialog as described above.
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy (from Apple Menu at top left corner of display).
Click the lock icon at lower left of the Privacy pane and authenticate to allow changes.
In the right column of the Privacy pane, click the “+” button and navigate to:
/Library/Application Support/Universal Audio/Apollo/
Click the “UA Mixer Engine” application so it is selected, then click Open.
In the right column of the Privacy pane, tick the “UA Mixer Engine” checkbox.

Hey man I’m having a problem with my Apollo Twin X everything is connected but when I open any daw I go to audio settings and choose the interface and I can record midi but I connect my guitar and I’m. It getting no audio going into the daw it’s so weird and another thing is Luna will not open

My plugins are not showing up in console, I can use them in logic and luna but when you buy a new plugin and want to unhide it in console-settings-plugins there is not one uad plugin visible. No one has an answer for this. Mind you they all work but I can add pre amps or any plugin on console because I cannot see them Hope you can help

Having similar issues w mac 2015 2k retina 27" Monterrey w thunderbolt 2. A number of people having the issue of the interface not connecting when you turn off n on your apollo etc. Going on since 2021 at least w no fix.

Hello please your help, I already uninstall like 10 times
1) I uninstall and also erase the Library of UA and carpet of Universal
2) I install the driver and then when finish request me for restart. But in this step I don't restart in that moment I wait the 30 minutes requested, and then restart. Also in this step when I was waiting the 30 minutes I was looking some videos in UA-cam and I see that driver works. Without enter Security and Privacity and make you step explain in video.
3) When finally restart I want to try to select the driver for in and out sound but not appear more and also in the Appear driver not install correctly. So i put your terminal step and works. But please I would like to know the way that works just with the install please.

Tengo este mismo problema, compré una arrow y no logro conectarla/registrarla, he hecho lo del código en la terminal y nada en el sistema dice que está conectada pero no sale conectada al al software de UA, de hecho no termino los pasos que salen en la pagina para registrar... tengo mas de una semana intentando lo peor es que no veo que haya alguna otra solución! si puedes ayudarme genial!!!

everything worked just 6 months ago though, and i havent dropped or damaged any of the equipment. it is a new macbook so that might have to do with it. the good news is that the mac IS picking up the apollo, but just no input sound. I've tried:
Restarting everything
Unplugging and replugging everything
updating computer software
downloading uad console and meter + control panel softwares
setting the audio input to Apollo on both logic pro and the macbook itself
choosing an input on logicpro
Sonoma 14.3.1 (23D60)

Perhaps, you might want to check your cables. That happened to me and I had to replace my cables and my adapters.

thanks for the help, kinda sad how pathetic UA is with OS compatibility. I got a Volt and it comes with " $400" in plug in's I will probably never get to see or use. Whatever, the interface itself is amazing sounding, just hoping i never need a digital UA mixer for it as " Driver did not install correctly" will probably haunt my nightmares

one thing if you authorize the security and it ask to restart press not now and restart from the installation app

I ran across this exact thing tords the end but ended up restarting the computer when that message appeared. . I still need to put the code in the terminal to get it to work again on update 9.14 after restarting. Should I uninstall and reinstall again and not let it restart when prompted? But after that message to restart?
I figured it out after
6 hours lol!
Running 10.14 Mojave and not able to download the 9.13 UAD software as it needs 11 Big Sur. Running 9.15 instead but having the same problem with the quick fix working but not permanently. Also no matter what I try the .plists don't show up in my library preferences or allow button in security & privacy tab. Any idea how I can fix it this and get it working permanently again?

Not sure why but its not working for me. I tried restarting about 4 times and still driver not installed correctly. 2 questions: is Luna necessary for this to work? My other question is that there is a step at the end of the install for version 9.14 where the allow pops up but the installer asks to restart first. Im not sure if Allow needs to be clicked before that restart or after. So frustrating they have not updated this yet.
@@LeonardoFonsecaOficial it worked but UA must have updated this process since you’ve posted this video. They require you to boot in recovery mode and disable sip then install make sure it connect and then re enable sip and reboot. That fixed it for me

My working x4 suddenly showed up with incorrect driver message. Tried few things, no luck. But this command line worked as temporary solution.
But after I updated to the latest Sur OS and the latest Sur compatible driver for UAD it and restarted the Mac it worked ma sha Allah!
Dang, wish this was the case for me. Doing the reinstall isn't working for me :(
@@GraysonErhard please check your OS version and interface version. For me, interface is the latest version with sur latest updates. Also before installing I uninstalled existing version and cleaned the folders as per the guideline I found in google.
