LS aka “Long Snow” is a lovecraftian winter entity that wants to freeze the whole world. The first step in his plan to global domination takes place in the video game "League of Legends", where he wants every team to freeze all minion waves to simulate what a world without any movement could look like.

The funniest part about this, is how did people forget about Freezing lanes to the point where anyone even argues against LS. I really wish the Fundamentals series had kept going and in this format if possible. The layout of knowledge and examples being shown were just so professionally done.
One year later and people, even in pro play, have still no idea how to properly freeze lanes and use it to their advantage. Please continue this series, LS!
Such a perfect video by LS. It sucks though that not many people understand this method of wave control and end up throwing the games by risking a fight at mid instead of just simply freezing it so that the other team doesn't have a response with your team reaping the benefits.
I legitimately remember when LS said on stream "I need to make a video about this" when he kept seeing pros not freeze lanes and making notes about it. And here it is. LS delivers. Nice.

I would have liked a bit more time on the game current situation while LS is explaining the concept. For example at 7:00 When he says "realistically, neither team can do baron" I'd like to see which compositions they are running and which items, etc. Anyways this video is still top-notch.

Because when you freeze you giving up momentum and pressure from your opponent. Example when you freeze you probably stronger then your enemy laner so why are you freezing in the first place why aren't you pushing your advantage. Wow this is really professional. Really high quality, super polished, and very informative. Now that we know the advantages of freezing, I’m curious to when one shouldn’t freeze (thinking of solo queue context). I fear that by freezing, I’d just be allowing my enemy lamer to stomp all over the map while my team flames me for staying in lane. Curious as to what your thoughts are on this.
I really liked this video and would love to see more like it. I think you have great analysis and I try to make your streams but I think this stuff is great
Great video! I really dig the production put into this one, and scripted videos deviate from your online persona, which I think will end up being beneficial to your brand long term. Also, I love that the series is called Fundamentals, but you don't actually explain how to execute a freeze. I understand that this is meant to be a commentary on proplay and directed to people that should know how to do so, but I find it funny nonetheless.
Even though I agree with the potential of freezing in certain situations and how impactful it can be, it's not just something you want to do all the time, even if there are no other objectives on the map. For one, in almost all clips, you showed that the team that initiates the freeze will probably lose their tier 1 mid lane tower, which is something you do not want to do. It is the center of the map, it grants vision, fallback safety, pushing power, objective proximity, jungle control etc. Losing mid tier 1 tower is one of the biggest things that will lead teams to defeat, and it's definitely so much more important than missing out on 2-3 minion waves, which is just 300-400 gold and maybe half a level during the mid game. Speaking of losing out on xp and gold, you need to be initiating those freezes very very often if you want to gain a significant advantage. Bear in mind that, while one of your teammates is preoccupied with the freeze and most of the time unable to leave or react to anything, the enemy team can simply group up and either take towers like I said before, or even go into you rown jungle, take away monster camps without your own junglers being able to really respond since you are at a numbers' disadvantage. That makes it so that any xp you deny from the enemy by freezing can be gained to some extent by stealing away jungle camps, while getting vision in the enemy jungle around upcoming objectives and potentially losing towers and being able to set up traps in the jungle. You also run the risk of getting dove. Diving someone is pretty easy in pro play, since tower aggro juggling is almost near perfect, at least by the decent teams. If something like that happens, then the player who was freezing is extremely doomed. Not only will they lose a big minion wave because of the freeze, there is also a big minion wave in front of a tower that can also be taken to extend the gold lead even more. Even if the proximity of the freeze if closer to the freezing team, thus quicker to react, there are times that the team that has to respond can invest resources in the mid lane, push out the wave and then rotate through the jungle to the frozen lane, take advantage of the numbers' advantage and initiate a dive, while also keeping superior jungle vision control and denying any attempt to defend by the freezing team. These are just some points that I can think of about why freezing can be quite risky sometimes and it's a very very situational thing that you can only do in very specific situations that do not really come up that often, requires correct position the the freezing team that needs to defend the freeze if need be, and the pay off is not that grand compared to other things you could be doing. If a team is ahead, they can most of the time press that lead forward by stealing away enemy jungle camps, chipping away on towers, or even forcing tower dives, geting objectives like dragons, baron or setting up vision control. After all, a lot of champions can easily break a freeze, especially if they are ranged. Provided that your jungler and maybe your support can rotate to the area where the freeze is happening, you are almost always safe enough to push out the wave and break the freeze, thus wasting a lot of time doing nothing but being defensive, when you could be taking opportunities to accelerate. Again, there are situations where freezing can be initiated, but I think you are going way too overboard with this tactic. You seem to be trying to utilize it in every single scenario when dragon is down and a wave is incoming towards a tower, which is wrong.
i really think this is well done! The only thing i have to complain about is that the music sometimes is quite a bit too loud. By you explaining slowly and clearly the viewer wants to listen even more. Having something run in the background with high volume makes it then seem as if you and the music were fighting over attention.
