Been to Drumshanbo ,and Leitrim many times in 56 years. It still looks the same. I have dear friends who live at the very southern tip of Lough Allen, and I'm treated to to a lovely trout or Salmon dinner when I am a guest there. Thanks for the memory!
It's a pity you don't name the places you pass through, I feel more research should have been done, I lived in Ballinaglera for 11 year and could have done a better job
@@florencedixon9642 when you're trying to walk the whole beara breifne way it's hard to research every place you pass through, will leave the more descriptive videos for the local experts who live nearby 😉 the focus of the video is more about the walking experience, the scenery and what to expect on the route. It's a good idea for a video though, I just need to get through editing all the rest of the walks we've done first... It's time consuming 😔
Well then the well is always well FULL . BOG SOAK IT UP . NO HURRY NO WORRY. SPLENDID . BRILLIANT . TIMELESS . STRANDED CONCIOUSNESS BEING . Walkin on water . Crimie do they have not AI . Aye . A long walk not spoiled .
some great shots of the area and some lovely music... to bad the walkers come off a little patronising and ill informed about what they are actually encountering.
Thanks for the feedback, definitely didn't mean to come across that way. The main focus was the walking route and there was very little info available as it was for some of the sites we stopped at.
my apologies for being negative, that isn't fair to you. this stretch of the Leitrim way (Ballinagleragh/Dowra) is my neighbourhood so I am a little over sensitive about it... I am woking on ways to increase the information available to walkers of this stretch so they can be made more aware of the rich history between Drumshanbo and Blacklion...
@@iliocht it's a beautiful part of the country, you're lucky to live there! We do joke a bit too much in that Irish way of putting things down, but I've found a way to remove some of that nonsense giddiness we had on the day so hopefully it comes across slightly better. Both Leitrim and Cavan ways are some of the best stretches of the Ireland/Beara breifne way 👌 I've heard there's been loads of work done on the Leitrim way in 2021 so hopefully a lot more walkers will walk it!
Thanks for taking time to give feedback! This video was to share the experience of the walk so if you're looking for a history video this not the right place, we're not experts and don't do a great job here explaining the little we know, we haven't made many videos so don't exactly prepare what we talk about but rather break to talk about the walk. Unfortunately there wasn't much info either on site or online, what I could find is linked below which I found post editing so feel free to check those out if you want to know more!

It's definitely a wonderful place for a fresh trout straight from the lake!
Well done. Great job. Thank you both
Thanks for the positive comment! :)
Lovely Leitrim
Thanks for the views guys! Exciting stuff
Do you never use am focal slighe no bealach for pathes in Irish like in Scotland in ghaidhlig.
Uabhasach breagha,very interesting weel din!
We have names for all of them in both languages, but the ones in the Gaelacht tend to be known by their Irish names, like the Slí Gaelacht Mhuscraí

@@doloresaquines1529 a great trait to have! 😊
Would have liked this better without the music.
Thanks for the feedback, the free music you get for making videos isn't great unfortunately.
Couldn’t you have done a little research into the holy wells and sweathouse, for example? Kind of a lazy effort.
Thanks for taking time to give feedback!

@@ornatNo one is asking you to do a history video! Just get together a few facts about holy wells and sweat Houses. Not hard to come by.
@@doloresaquines1529 you're right, it just wasn't the focus of the video when out walking that day 😊
Awful music.
