Just did this recently with mine. Took it completely apart, cleaned everything, completely refreshed the plastics that I was keeping, and replaced/upgraded everything else. It was a lot of fun. Put it all back together with stainless hardware, boca stainless ceramic bearings, and many many other things. One thing I noticed when you were building yours was the interface between the bearings and the stub axles. Putting a little grease between the bearing and any other metal part (stub axle, diff housing, etc.) will make it much easier to take apart later.
Great build vid Matty, Lots of details. I for one love working on my X-Maxx.. such a well thought out design and easy to work on. This is so funny i literaly just a couple days ago decided to do this & am curently waiting for parts lol what good timeing on your part for me lol tks bro!!👍
Hey that's awesome man! It's so much fun 😀 did you have any parts to reuse?
There’s no way you don’t get heating issues with the stock motor and those tires, especially in your climate. Why go back to stock?
Not really dude, they aren't much heavier than stock wheels.
I went back to stock as I broke a 1650kv shaft haha, I'm going to see how stock goes, if it's not good then I'll go with the hobby wing 1100kv
I have to agree very tastefully upgraded I enjoyed the build plus the music was also very tasteful you just got yourself a new subscriber
Welcome aboard 😀
You are a mad man awsome i am envious lol
Thanks dude 😀
Great Video👍 But on overall of the Cost… is not cheaper to buy a new one🤷🏼♂️ what is your experience🙄
Good question. If you plan to do a lot of mods and swap all the electronics out of the stock xmaxx, then in the long run I think it'll be cheaper. Also, I you plan to buy so many parts, go to a local hobby shop, they may even do you a small discount from ordering so much, just talk to then and see 😀
Don’t know who you are but the video quality is great. Nice job dude. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Nice build
How much did you cost from all of the spare parts you order?
Is u in t cheaper to build or by a new one?
Awesome looking build man! Loved watching the process during your video, made me subscribe for future content brother!! 👍
Thanks a million dude 🙏
Parts list?
how much more did you pay to get the parts one by one - than buying it RTR?
So what was the final cost from scratch?
