If you love the best shift, then everyone will want it and you'll constantly be battling your co-workers to rotate back to the good shift. Cops definitely need gun range practice, but why not also get really fast and precise at the one thing that everyone else would laugh at you for practicing? Sure, it's a skill that you'll rarely use, but if you can accurately toss that thing around like some kind of rodeo trick showman and stop a bad guy then you'll be the hero for taking the time to treat it like valuable skill when your peers think it's not worth practicing, even though they all totally suck at it.

Any open areas where they tried to stop him, he started driving more erratically, which is escalating the danger, and any other places were heavily built up due to rush hour traffic, meaning many more people could have been caught up in a collision or possible shootout. So they waited it out & ended it with nothing more than a car with a flat tyre.

The LAPD is notorious for failed spike strips. I’ve seen many chases and they are pretty horrible at it so missing at 5mph isn’t shocking.

The thing I find strangest in this video is the newsman who said the suspect’s Lincoln Navigator had a 20 liter tank. 1) What Americans, other than scientists, measure liquids in liters? 2)Someone from LA should know how large that vehicle is and that it would hold at least 20 gallons (75 liters) of fuel.
It's a Lincoln Aviator and it has a a 20.2 gallon gas tank or 76 litres.

That's because this particular criminal had no weapon or intention of attacking anyone else. Next joke of a police follow like this might turn out much differently. This man was given a lot of opportunities to cause more harm. You should think before you write.
@@echohotel4963 they did this chase the way they did because they operated under the belief that he could have a weapon on him. the safest way to handle that was to not aggravate him by being aggressive. if he had begun to show more signs of attempting to harm people, the chase would have changed to a more offensive one instead of defensive. you cant expect the same response for hundreds of different scenarios.

Why dont people get angry at the sheer stupidity of having chases that last for hours? Other States dont do that, some are well known to NOT coddle suspects and letting them run forever.
There are many tools to stop a car, like the grappler, that dont seem to get ever used.
Traffic control can redirect chases. PITs CAN be done above 40mph, that rule is just idiotic.
