I been a designer since the days of the Mac II with Freehand. The jump to Affinity was not hard. The orange control points, however, I did not know (although I use the shapes all the time!!) I thought they were just extensions of the transform controls. Well done. Good Vid. New Sub.
View Mode is changed in Affinity Publisher 2.0 now also. No more long list, just Single, Split and Clip to Canvas. Perhaps the others were moved somewhere.
I use outline view when I have many overlapping objects, normally I use vector view, pixel view only when I need to export small art-boards like 128x128px icons etc
Pixabay STUDIO seems to be NO MORE in Affinity Designer 2.0. Now they offer content from PEXELS. It's also now under WINDOWS MENU, as STOCK, instead of under VIEW as STUDIO.

Is the outline view mode used to help with composition? And the pixel mode is used to see if you’re document is the right size?
