I noticed how when these Tiki structures are empty, they all look relatively the same, and have hollow eyes. But when it has trapped something within, it has eyes filling the big empty sockets.
One of the tiki structures in the cave had been occupied.
Who or what was trapped in the structure?
Why did the occupied cave tiki structure have more round uncanny eyes, more wrinkles, and a big nose? And why didn't the other occupied tiki structure on the surface have the same features?
Does the structure develop more humanoid features the longer they've been trapped?
Something I noticed was that everyone was calling the structures "trees"
I actually think they resemble more of a squid, in the form of a sculpture or a tower.

I like the liminal feel of the island, a starfish was found on the coast even though there is no reason its just there and when they find the crab it is still almost like the island is trying to mimic other islands making the humans comfortable also its all sand and some how a lush forest of trees and a giant hole too. (This isn't hate of anything i like the fact the island isn't normally and dosen't fallow any normal island rules)

This is so good. The sound design especially really nails the 80s, 90s and early 2000sish aesthetic. Visuals are obviously authentic looking too but when analog horror content creators nail the sound design so perfectly from music to sound effects I feel it goes woeful underappreciated.

fucking love the concept dog! but for future projects try more heavily distorting the 3d rendered parts. there's a few good a few steps you can take in after affects to get that, and also try distorting the audio a bit more to get more of a radio/comms aesthetic to be period accurate, those are the only things I really have to critique though I truly love the concept though!
