- If you're thinking of making an update to your EDC commuter backpack the Osprey Arcane XL is a great option. Plenty of capacity to store your work items, change of clothes or kit for the gym... Or take away for the weekend city vacation... or throw in the sandwiches for a day walk with family or friends

Got this pack for $59 today. I love the simplicity. The all grey color is perfect for semi formal work office attire, blend perfectly with my blazer selection.
I've used this bag as an EDC for over 12months now and overall love the bag. Quality is fantastic, absolutely nothing has broke. My only complaint is that id love an extra front pocket, where the osprey logo is situated for things like car keys and wallet. There isn't really anywhere for these items that are quick and easy to get to.
We all love fuzzy felts - so rarely spoken about in this day and age.
I have just picked one of these up in the red and brown colour - purely for work, I was using a Fjallraven roll top back pack, but it kept leaking, and lining it with a bin liner seemed a bit out of kilter with the quality of the pack - so I have relegated the Fj and replaced it with this Osprey offering.
I have a couple of Decathlon packs which I've used for about 4 - 5 years now - very similar to this one.
Ey up buddy 😂 Decathlon have some great home brand packs 👍
Excellent review. 28-30 liters is my sweet spot as well. My OCD hated the uneven opening due to water bottle area. More reason to test more bags.
I've had a few bags now that have a J opening like this. They're a bit weird but nothing too distressing 😂 I do prefer a regular opening
Appreciate the review, well done and top marks as always, thank you! 🎒
You're more than welcome my friend. Glad to hear you enjoyed the content
28-32 liters for EDC is also my spot for a backpack
Just liters is not enough: real sides pockets for bottles (not as Maxpedition Entity by example if you know what I mean :)) , direct access pocket(s), external cordage to store a pullover or a raincoat for direct access, ... are also important for me but the spot is there too :)
I have this bag and it's great. I can fit my 16" laptop in the back slot. It's a bit tight, but the zip closes. Enjoyed the video, will check out some more.
Thanks for watching Nuncle! I hope you enjoy my other content here
Was looking for new pack recommendations and stumbled across another man of culture. Subscribed as soon as I saw the Dixxon! Great video sir 🤙🏾
Thanks for the sub! Not sure I've been called a man of culture before however I'm taking that as a win 😆 I've definitely been called worse. Welcome on board buddy
I know, this was a quality review, no doubt. Still can't decide or not whether to get it.
My sweet spot is 20 liters, and the Arcane Large Daypack fits the bill!
Hi Barbara, the larger/20ltr is their most popular model for sure. The Arcane series is a winner for Osprey. Thank you for watching
Moorlander EDC if not 32 Oz Nalgene Bottles AKA New School (More Modern) Canteens 4 the Built-In Water Bottle Side Pocket of Osprey Arcane XL then perhaps 20ish Oz Maximum Size Nalgene Bottles!
I think the slimmer bottles will definitely fit. I think with this being more of a commuter EDC bag it's perfect for those smaller bottles

Is Fuzzy Felt the same as Fuzzy Wuzzy Bear.? Perhaps in future vids you could actually have a load & field test backpacks in urban, rural & in the woods on both channels. Viewers may have a better visualisation when it's in usages. Love the bloopers mate.! Cheers from Australia.
It was a childhood art game where you have felt shapes that would stick to a felt artboard. Hours of 80s fun
It's funny you should mention the urban stuff for bags like these. I happened to think about that when I had the pack in with me at work. I'll definitely keep in mind having some B Roll in a city commuter environment too
Hope you're well my friend
A happy I found your channel! It's amazing. I'm on the ques for a do it all backpack! So how do you place the able carry max against the Nebula or Arcane XL? Any advice? Something that I can take to work everyday on the train and maybe use out and about! Thanks and again great work!
Thank you for the amazing feedback - Welcome aboard. The Able Carry Max is an amazing pack for sure and it's pretty hard to beat. It's been in my top five bags since I first got one. The Nebular and Arcane are great bags however the Max is next level. Design, material, fit & finish are unmatched. As you can probably tell, I'm a big fan of the Max
@@MoorlanderEDC thanks! Now I'm really curious to know your top five backpacks if you care to share please?
I'd say to date Able Carry Max, GORUCK Rucker 4.0, Savotta Jaakari M, Able Carry Daybreaker mkII and Osprey Nebula... Now I will say these are just backpack's I've either owned or tested. I also have a terrible memory so there could easily be one missing 😆
@@MoorlanderEDC thanks for sharing.
great video! tried to give 10x likes for this scene 😅 10:28
Thank you so much 😀
Where to get this bag........?
They're available on Amazon if this helps - amzn.to/3XcXOZO
Is the laptop sleeve suspended?
It is. It could be suspended a wee bit higher however there's clearence
