I miss this type of game. Reminisce games such as Sam and Max, Day of the Tentacle, The Dig, Full Throttle, Monkey Island, Grim Fandango etc.
There's still a lot of these being made. Check out Technobabylon, Unavowed, Kathy Rain or last year's Roki.

i enjoy them as well, but there are still games similar to this nowadays like Disco Elysium, Don't Escape 4, and Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice. Try "Thimbleweed Park", a lot of people enjoyed it.

This game and the monkey island series had made such an impact on me that all I wanted to do with my life was travel. So I did. I’ve never been happier.

The original and best Broken Sword imo. The second one was alright too, but the first is special.

Played this game 5 6 years ago as a kid and instantly fell in love with the genre played the series thrice by now and similar games like secret files lost horizon Gemini rue syberia mostly Android coz that's all i had at that time. Love narration of the game ❤️❤️❤️❤️

When i got the game as a kid it was called "Circle of Blood" and i absolutely loved it!
That was the title when it was translated to the US.
This is a special game, looking forward to the reforged version
And the upcoming Broken Sword 6.
Let's hope it's better than the Director's Cut.
I got the director’s cut for free on iPhone and played through for the first time in...2011 it might have been. It worked very well on the iPhone, with a hint mechanism so it didn’t become frustrating. Agree with this commentary, so well written and quirky. Loved it.
I repaid the gesture from the free promotion (I got the 2nd game free later as well) by backing money behind their Kickstarter for the 5th broken sword.
I preferred the 1st to the 2nd, but the 2nd was pretty good as well. Not sure I have the stamina to play the rest though, 2 is enough in the series for me.

I just replayed it and it occurred to me: I think Plantard was supposed to be Peagrimm! Khan reading his book in the last chapter seems like an obvious callback to me now.
I know the remake goes into another direction but in the OG it clearly looks that way.

You should check out some of Wadjet Eye's adventure games. My personal favorite is Technobabylon. But there are many more great games like Primordia and the Blackwell Series. Also, keep your eye on an upcoming game called Crowns & Pawns: Kingdom of Deceit.

@@sadpotato4931 my favorite is there last one, Unavowed, but what I have played of Technobabylon (I need to finish it) that one is great, too. I thought Unavowed was wonderfully done and a beautiful game.
I'd suggest the sequel and Full Throttle.
Just bought trilogy for £1-50p and 5 too, never played them before.
Can you recommend any other games which are similar? I have played black mirror, gabriel knight.
I'd suggest Full Throttle, Simon the Sorcerer, Day of the Tentacle and of course, Broken Sword 2.
I was going to pick up the gba version but the ds is amazing

remasters are different and have a couple of extra parts where you play as Nico. the original is superior IMO tho!
Correct. That scene was added into the Director's Cut. The Director's Cut removed just as much as it added though so you should play the original
