So I was actually apart of Center Groves show choir during this time, but I was in Debtones. What most people don't know about this performance is that it was dedicated to an old classmate and fellow show choir member who had died that past summer.
I bet most of you commenting on this negatively...probably know nothing about "real" show choir. Not step touching, an occasional arm movement, and singing in 2 part. They have pretty great dynamics, amazing choreography, pretty damn good vocals for a high school ensemble and plenty of talent and energy. Center grove is a force to be reckoned with, always have, and always will. They give a show that's polished, professional, energetic, and heartfelt from the opener to the closer. You can definitely tell that these kids love what they do, are very committed and very talented. See them live, and you'll be blown away. Yeah, maybe the sopranos got off a bit, but still. Nothing short of AMAZING!
You want to see an amazing show choir performance ? Watch John Burroughs Powerhouse .... now that is an AMAZING show choir ! Creativity and amazing vocals are on a different level. They smash any show choirs and their shows are always amazing to watch. Granted this was 6 years ago... but Powerhouse still blows this show choir out of this show choir from their past shows...hate to say it.
For the negative comments, keep in mind this was 5 years ago and show choir changes really fast. This same group had an undefeated regular season and got 1st runner up at nationals!
They're from my state, Indiana., Indiana created the art of 'show choir'. I, too, am in a show choir group called 'Accents'. We're 5th in the state. This group here, IS NUMBER ONE!
This is an awesome video ! Does anyone have the FAME competition from 2006 that was in Fort Wayne Indians ? Ive been searching for my strongest suit from Destiny Show Choir from Sanford, Florida.
ah i new this was center grove :) i was at this performance. the only reason they are so good is cos to be in the that choir you have to pay 1800. rediculous. plainfield is like 300 and we got 4th in nationals baby ;)
My high school choir is better then by a lot...... I mean our choir is amazing and were named national champs in places all over the country like New York, Iowa, Etc.
Being conceded doesn't help. Would you rather be winners and have everyone support you or win and not have anyone's respect due to your rudeness and overall selfishness
I don't know, I heard this was one of the best show choirs in the US (were competing against them this weekend) but their vocals are just kind of strange. The arrangement is weird, and they do sound out of breath, same with their womens show choir.. but the choreography was amazing and the soloist
not the best my middle school show choir me in it directed by Catherine lyon choreography by ben Shrunk was better "The Stingers" WILLIAMS INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL

You can barely hear the first sopranos, some of the choreography is sloppy, and they aren't loud enough, sorry... But the soloist was great!

Very good, but they sounded a out of breath. Top marks to the soloist though...she was great!
It's great that they can dance, but their sound isn't as good when they're dancing.

Well the coreography is quite a thing. Singing while dancing is really bad. Breath, dynamic and expression of the song suffer.
Soloist sucked, choreography was lacking and hyper-sexualized at times, choir as a whole were out of breath from all the quick movements.
they're so stiff :(
