  • Smells Nice But Doesn’t Do Much
Since the Pacifica Glow Baby Booster Serum has such a knockout scent, I was hoping to fall in love with it and make it a permanent part of my routine. Unfortunately, the scent is the only thing I really like about this serum. It includes sodium ascorbyl phosphate for its vitamin C component, but I can’t help but think L-ascorbic acid or tetrahexyl decyl ascorbate (THDA) would have better brightening effects. Texture-wise, it does feel nice on the skin and absorbs well, but since it hasn’t delivered any pigmentation or AHA-related effects on my skin, it won’t be a long-term player in my routine.
Negatives aside, it smells like a creamsicle, so I’ll likely use it up and then return to my coveted vitamin C serum (BrillianCy by Cosmedix).
Closing Thoughts: This may appeal to a younger demographic, i.e., 20 somethings who are just beginning to notice textural issues or PIH, but serious skincare enthusiasts in their 40s and beyond will be better served by a vitamin C serum with a more effective active ingredient. 3 stars.
