This video's a little bit different in style compared to my other highlight videos, which are mostly comprised of Commentary Highlights and Gameplay Highlights, as this one features a good number of Story Highlights that are entirely/mostly in tact since I think this game speaks so well for itself and because what this game delivers is more important than anything we have to say. Huh, guess the craigslist ad was right. So yeah, if you're wondering why this 5 episode series highlight video is 80 minutes, it's cause a good chunk of it is story content. Though, regardless of story highlights, the other highlights, for whatever reason, ended up being longer chunks as well. Dunno if it was the nature of the game and it's unending barrage of absurdity when it starts swinging, or if we just kept the combo going ourselves. But, whatever the reasons, please enjoy this stupid, awful, perfect game.
Also, somehow there's a severe lack of Travis in this video so I made sure to get him in the thumbnail. The worst thumbnail I've made, mind you. - Ігри
It truly was a Kino7. It feels absurd but also sincere and above all, a mid-2000s experiment that just couldn't be replicated now because it'd come out as too smooth, streamlined and coherent.
Killer7 is unironically my favorite game of all time. Probably one of my favorite pieces of art regardless of medium. There is truly nothing like it and I could write endlessly about why I think it’s genius.

The russian roulette scene always cracks me up no matter how many times I watch it.
Fun fact: In the JP version of Killer7, psyche remnants and Iwazaru speak clear broken english (machine translated from Japanese). There's a mod that allows you to have JP Iwazaru/Psyche R. voicelines in the NA/Worldwide version. Iwazaru and Psyche Remnants are voiced by MacOS synthesized voices.
Distorting the voices for the US release gave them a lot more personality. You can make out some vague English, but not enough.

Here in Mexico there's this pizza franchise called "Pizza Fantasy", but you're always going to see this pizzeria beside a coffee franchise called "Caramel Coffee". So technically pizza with coffee is canon.

Watched this and played the whole game, thinking it would make sense, but it actually makes less sense now that I've beaten it.
The only way it makes sense is too focus on the dialogue and ignore the crazy stuff. This game pretty much exposed how the voting system worsk in America and the relation between Japan and the U.S .

I think it's slang for when something is like, really cinematic or looks like it comes from an artsy film. I know in Russian it means "the movies"
@@eldonhill4840 yeah i've gathered that since i posted this. i also asked on a stream and they described it as "really good piece of film" or "really good use of the medium" either way i agree this game is kino as fuck
this game just felt like it was ai generated
There’s a method to the madness that AI couldn’t replicate, I’m just not sure what exactly the method IS.
This kind of surealism is about very intentional design choices. It doesn't really feel anything like the random clusterfuck that ai spits out.
Sureal art is distinct clear and open to interpretation. AI 'art' is derivative, chaotic and messy.
It's the difference between someone speaking a language you don't understand fluently vs someone making random noises.
