Aw, watching your smile fade and your face change when you realized Andrea had been bitten was sadder to me than when I watched Andrea dying my first time around.
I completely agree with you. Watching his emotions got me almost as much as the first time I saw it actually happen with Andrea.

With how strong Andrea had become against walkers over her time in twd, I was really shocked when I saw it.
I was legit cheering when Andrea died cause she’s legitimately my least favorite character in the entirety of the show so uh….
Shane ONLY fought for Lori, Carl, and himself. He didn't care about anyone else.
Amy-"we need to go after them. They are trapped."
Shane "we don't risk anyone else"
Amy she is my sister. She volunteered.
Later, Lori goes after Rick and Glenn. Shane finds out, and runs out after her.
Vs. Rick, who knows that you need people. If you don't have their back, how long before no one volunteers anymore?
Vs Philip who is just playing games. Running a town. But doesn't really care about anyone. He would kill anyone that he didn't know he could brainwash.
Shane was like Merle. He'd do what he had to to survive and for the one person he cared about...IMO Shane only "cared" about Carl as a way to appeal to Lori. In the end, though, Merle was willing to change and take a risk to help other people. Shane went down to the end willing to kill to get the person he wanted.
The difference is that when the group was trapped in Atlanta, Shane didn't even know where they were trapped, plus he didn't have people trained to go and get into a city full of Of walkers without weapons and without experienced people, your point of comparison is idiotic since it was a giant city and Shane didn't know where they were. Added to that there were many more people in the camp who depended on Shane
@jackmars931 I agree. He knew he had to accept Carl or he had no chance with Lori.
@NAMxKDL All of your arguments are excuses. He could simply ask them where they were located. And you know this. Shane gave his reasons for not going. "We don't risk lives. They are trapped. They are gone" H says nothing about not knowing where they are at, nor does he say anything about people being experienced. So is idiotic to try and use those for arguments. Shane made it very clear what his reasons were. And that was just one time he proved that he didn't care about anyone else except Lori and Carl. He expected others to stand up and risk themselves for Lori and Carl but he would not risk anything for anyone else. On the flip side,Rick would. Rick knew community was important. If you won't come save the group, why would the group go out to find supplies for you? They wouldn't!
@@wordswritteninred7171 He did ask, but if you had really paid attention to the series you would know that communication was failing and T-dog spent hours trying to communicate and barely managed to say that they were Trapped and then communication was cut off again, be more logical, you couldn't go into a city alone with a shotgun and good intentions to search building by building
That scene with Carl, the boy from Woodbury, and Herschel! It was tiny but the way it played out by all, it just said so much! Every time I see it I'm sort of awestruck because they convey so much with a look, a framing, the stillness and then the crow caws as Beth slips into shot out of focus! Jeez - to splice that together and just know what's been created - I love it!
I can't say much more about it for spoilers, but - wow! And, for me, Herschel's point of view was needed to counter Carl's view - I still thing both viewpoints are legit! How this cast kept bringing their 'A' game just astonishes me.

I fully understand your discomfort with Andrea - many felt it like you! For me it makes MIlton the ultimate hero. He tried to save Andrea, sacrificed himself to do so, and killed her anyway! Way to go!
Carl's first human kill
Killing Lori was his first murder, he shot her in the head a minute after she had a caesarean section, her brain was still alive.

Omg I hated Andrea but I did cry, it was just Michonne's reaction for me. She loved that girl, that was her best friend so yeah I lost it. We must remember that Carl is a kid grieving the loss of his mother. His logic makes sense especially when he said "Dale would still be alive if I killed that walker"... in a kid's mind, it makes sense. That's why it's essential to instill a moral code into a child in this type of environment especially when he has to protect himself with a gun.
Couldn’t agree more with this! - this is why I’m glad he’s got many different role models, all with complexities and different moral perspectives. Hopefully counteracting any negative development an apocalypse may create.

Andrea got such a hard time. Personally I liked her and in the end she was just trying to do the right thing by our group and Woodberry people. RIP Andrea 😢
Rick was seeing Lori when he was making bad choices. Like when he kicked out Tyreese, Sarsha and co, and when he was gathering wire to tie up and hand Michonne over. When he took the Woodberry people in he looks up and no longer sees Lori because he’s finally doing the right thing and no longer needs her guidance. Great episode!

This was a very good episode. When I first watched the show I knew Andrea was going to die sooner or later as she was just trying to make peace to both sides. But I guess she didn't realize that Rick and ESPECIALLY the Governor were not going to accept peace.
Yet it was staring her in the face 😖 - so many signs it was a lost cause… but I guess she’s in a situation I can’t exactly see perspective wise from …

Hey I mean they said drop the gun and the not only kept hold of it but moved slightly closer I genuinely think if they’d said drop it and dropped it instantly with his hands up he survives easy
Carl literally told him to drop his gun and he didn’t. Not worth taking a risk and that guy definitely could have killed him. He had plenty of time to listen and stop the gun so imo he has no one else to blame but himself because Carl is smart enough to not risk it.
I may sound cold but I’m thinking from the perspective of that universe and Carl did give clear instructions to that kid.
Well he actually had his gun in a position to either give it to Carl or put it down, You also have to keep in mind this kid was probably only like at most 16 and even looked like he was in his freeze mode like he wasn’t sure what to do. I do believe it would’ve been best for Carl to take the gun and tie the kid up.
@@ElixerAlix His hand was still near the trigger though. He could have easily aimed and fired it. Carl wasn't taking that chance. Plus the way he was slowly moving toward Carl was very suspicious. If you're told to drop your weapon you do it. You don't slowly walk toward them with your finger still near the trigger. He didn't do anything Rick himself wouldn't have done in that situation.

My only ‘what the h***’ moment was why Andrea kept stopping and talking, had she kept going she could have gotten free, I do believe the first few watches/rewatches, I yelled at her every time she stopped, 😏
Your one of very few who caught on, your call on Lori leading Rick was spot on, the first time he sees her image in the prison was when Tyreese, Sasha, Alan & Ben was there, Alan & Ben turned out to be bad, he next sees her and is lured outside the fences for when the Guv’na shows up and is there for when Daryl gets back and they save him, which I think Daryl needed to help him know he made the right choice to come back, then he sees her when he is trying to come to terms with what he’s doing by choosing to take Michonne to the Guv’na, which is when he changes his mind and decides he can not do it, and finally, he does not see her after saving the rest of Woodbury’s people and allowing them to become a part of our group, because he chose good and is finally finding some peace since losing her, 👍😀👍
RIP Andrea, Lori Holden did an awesome job with her character, 😪

I can understand people mourning the losss of Andrea. Personally, I didn't. She was too wishy-washy for this world and our people. She would have been a huge problem down the line. Michonne's reaction was the only thing that touched my heart about this.
14:31 he doesn't leave witnesses, he tried to fire his gun but it clicked because it was out of ammo. Also he didn't realize Karen was still alive.
Rip Andrea gone toon soon, Glen Mazzara who was one of the writers of the show killed her off for shock value, he was fired after that, I am glad they fired him, rip, Lori, T Dog, Andrea, Merle, Milton, Axel, Oscar and Big tiny who died this season, Carl at 15:51 you were in the room with Governor and you let him go then he killed Merl, Carol face at 21:55 was sad she found out about Andrea death

Shane cared about only Lori and Carl.
Philip only cares about himself.
Rick cares about everyone.
Carl let's you decide what kind of person you are, and he believes you. I do not blame Carl for what he did. It was self defense. They were at war. Had the kid seen them first, he would have shot them. But everyone wants to blame Carl.
Everyone has a choice in who they follow. Michonne didn't stay. And everyone at Woodbury had the same choice.
I don't think that kid would have shot them even if he saw our group before they saw him. He was not part of the Governors in group so he probably had never killed anyone, not even a walker. He was scared and wasn't capable of doing what was told in a high stress situation. It's not and shouldn't be punishable by death. You maybe should see a therapist, you might be a sociopath.
@@Iiva69 I often wonder that. If Shane actually cared about Carl, or if he simply cared for him because he knew he would have to, if he wanted Lori. Yeah, merges TRUE colors showed in the end. The abuse as a child made him build walls. Find excuses why each person was not worth his time. In the end, he saw what his brother had. And I think it opened his eyes.
@@Iiva69Oh please...Tons of people say Carl did the right thing in that situation. In fact, this is the first reactor I've seen be against it.

I know Andrea was trying to do the right thing, but she annoyed me so much and had bad taste in men and was not good at judging their character, eg. when Dale tried to warn her about Shane telling her he knew men like him, but she ignored him and let him know she didn't agree. Then Michonne tried to warn her about the Governor and typical Andrea wouldn't open her eyes and take heed of the warning and was always wanting to proove herself.
I could see in the end she really tried to keep the peace, but she chose the wrong side and fell heavily and for the Governor too quickly and fell under his spell, instead of holding back, slowing things down and geting to know that man's character. Maybe if she did that the alarm bells might have sounded sooner and she'd see the true character of the man, but oh no, the alarm bells were switched off until it was too late when she realised.
Fortunate for our group the Governor snapped and shot up his people when he became enraged and that caused the survivor 'Karen' to call out to Tyrese during Rick's counter-attack and we gained two valuable fighters, Tyrese & Sasha, but not so fortunate for the Governor’s own people he killed in cold blood, but he's a complete disgusting evil psychopath so it didn’t surprise me.
I remember when we first watched this scene and screamed at the tv for the woman to hurry up, SO CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN, why did it take Andrea a blinking day and an age or a million years when tied to the dental chair in the torture room to free herself using the plyers Milton accidentally on purpose dropped on the floor behind her chair? Instead she just sits there casually talking to Milton like she has all the time in the world or forgot the Governor just stabbed him multiple times in the torso and he's about to die,
instead of quickly trying to set herself free immediately with the plyers as🎉❤ soon as he told her about it - man why did they drag that scene out so long. Was sad when the gang/the squad shows up and she looks at Rick and says “I know how the safety works.”

I'm sorry, but the Governor did tons of horrible shit BEFORE Michonne "killed" his daughter. He had killed a shitload of people, including all those guys in the military, he'd sent Merle to kill Michonne, he assaulted Maggie, he was going to murder Glenn and Maggie before Rick showed up in the nick of time to save them...I mean, the dude was pure evil, Michonne killing his walker daughter didn't create that.

Ohhhhh great questions! My favourite character for a long time was Glen, but sadly I’m moving away from him at the moment - to be honest with you. I’m struggling to pick between Daryl and a Rick.. closely followed by Hershel and Carol. - I’m sorry I realised this doesn’t answer your question at all XD.
In terms of who i’d wanna survive with.. probably Daryl. He knows how to survive when you’re forced out into the world.. can fight very well with stealthy weaponry.. knows how to tune into his morals, leadership, and emotions fairly comfortable… yeah. Feels to me like the best all rounder 😃
This is so interesting because you were far more moved than I was. I wasn't surprised she was killed. I never liked Andrea. I found her elitist, sanctimonious, and hypocritical. I didn't care about her death because I didn't see her making any real contribution to the group.
It definitely didn’t hit as hard as other characters, but I knew there were parts about her I really liked. This is why it hurt. She was frustrating as anything, but still part of the family 😣

I mean Andrea it was character assassination because well in the comics she was a badass and was always there whit Rick she was loyal whit their group and in the show they make her this person that just wants to be the good person that can save everyone she was just so incredibly gullible to the governor.
