I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Pause all you want!!! Nothing hurts me more than when a reactor talks over something important! Love hearing your in depth thoughts all throughout and can’t wait to hear about the upcoming seasons!
One of my favourite episodes of the entire series. Kickass Carole is fantastic, and the reunions are soooooo satisfying.

Couple fun bits about episode 16
In the beginning of the episode it’s Rick showing Carl how to make a trap for animals, by having them follow one path directly into a the trap, which foreshadows exactly what Terminus does
At the end of the episode when Rick says “They’re screwing with the wrong people” (which on some versions of the episode, he uses a different choice word) his right eye gets covered by shadows, making it look like an eyepatch, along with the Rick/Governor Pulse sound, so more of TWD showing just how dark Rick is
And third, in the beginning of the season when Carl names the pigs, Rick says we don’t name our food, or whatever, and then in this episode and E16 they call them by Samurai, Archer, etc etc, so they don’t give them actual names.

I love that Tyrese was the beast he had to be to save Judith. Daryl and Rick hugging Carol in this episode is one of my favorite moments in the entire series.
This is a lot of people’s (myself included) favourite episode. Carol went full Rambo and proved just how much she’s changed from the meek housewife who was abused by her husband to a certified badass who takes down entire compounds to save the people she loves!
This is the highest viewed episode with almost 18 million when it aired. Really is the one of the best ever

One thing I appreciate about the reactions to the show is the empathy you have the capacity for regardless of who while still being objective. Not many are capable of that
I like how you refer to the group as "us" cause same. That's how you know you're in deep and that you're a true Walking Dead fan.
No Sanctuary has to be on every fan's top favorite episode list. Seriously it was flawless. We had so many MVPs in this episode but the top 3 are Rick, Carol, and Tyreese. They really ATE DOWN. Also, you are right about Rick learning from his past experience. From Lori's death and Hershel's, he knows that little cannibal group can not live. I also love the changes that Rick goes through because it's realistic. He's not choosing to be this way it's where he's being pushed and I'm excited for you to see his journey.
One of the best episodes of the entire series, not sure if anyone mentioned this already but when this episode aired it had over 15 million live viewers

Also the hands you see on Judith are the her real life dad. So there is no trauma out on the baby. Morality is very hard in this life
They weren’t killing all the people who showed up for revenge. They were killing them as a food supply.

16:04 That's mostly because when they become a threat to his life and the lives of his family, they're no longer people. Plus cannibals don't really qualify as people either. No guilt necessary after slaughtering Terminus. Absolute example of "Fuck around and find out".

So much happens in this episode! I wasnt expecting the people of Terminus to be cannibals.
So much of what you say in this reaction video illustrates how you now have integrated your views towards, often times,🎉 necessary violent actions on behalf of Rick's group. As you said, survival comes first. If Rick was unable to radically change his approach quickly and act to defend and protect himself and his family, this group, Rick, his children wouldve been killed a long time ago.
And Carol, remember Season 4 episode four, "Indifference"? Rick asks Carol, "There isnt anything that you wouldnt do for this group, is there?" Carol replies back, "No there isn't." Carol singlehandedly took down Terminus in order to help her friends. People within this group are able to become so much more. From timid, battered housewife, to a pragmatic, person of action. No longer paralyzed by fear.
And Morgan, if anyone deserves to start anew and have support in doing so, its Morgan!

Been waiting for this one 😎 It's such a crazy episode & I'll have to stop typing so I can watch now.
Edit: You do have to be moral but morality isn't objective. Sometimes ending bad people saves our group and saves other people. You get it but this show actually shows is these distinctions.
I can see what you mean! Morality to an extent can be subjective. But I also firmly believe that a lot of morality exists universally. Also, we can confuse morality too which makes it even more bloody confusing 😝😝
Dan Rick had nothing else to work with. They took their weapons and we all know what was about to go down. His instincts kicked in gear and he went into 100% protector/survivor mode. It was an out of body experience for Rick but opened a brief window of time for Michonne to grab a gun and kill three of them and free Carl and Daryl. Rick took out the disgusting guy in a brutal way but inhumane people get brutal treatment!
Yep that blonde guy was with the girl when took Carol away to that neighborhood.

Sometimes I think you had to have watched before..because you have so far been really good at guessing whats going to happen. Their reunions are always the best..Daryl and Carol, Carl/Rick and Judith and Sasha and Tyreese ❤ I understand you on the trying to hold on to morality and humanity but also having to make decision to do terrible things so that you and your loved ones survive.
