It’s just so melodic calming yet painful in a way I can’t describe :)
This song, to me, sounds like big swaths of paint-y golden browns and oranges and deep yellows and neon greens and glowing blues, but they’re under a layer of something that sounds like guilt and feels like new computers and tastes like dust at the back of my throat and the word gray. The harmonies in the bridge are the only times the colors truly shine out through the haze, before retreating back. It’s beautiful, I love it so much

I think her sort of shifting out and back into herself both here and in the lyric videos is supposed to represent heavy disassociation during moments of crisis, and let me say - it definitely feels like that.

Ooh I’m so early! Besides that, I think this song is really nice. Like most of Dodie’s other songs. Feels a tang of painful but so distracted by the beauty of her voice. Her lyrics that you may or may not be able to make out but you really can get the feeling out of it. And I do find that quite pleasant.
