So-yu, a day-use hot spring in the Wakura Onsen area of Ishikawa Prefecture reopened for business for the first time in three months on March 26.
Several hot springs in the area were damaged due to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake,
and have remained closed since the quake.
With both the regular water and hot spring water sources being restored, the onsen was able to reopen to the delight of many locals.
S/ Onsen User: I’m really glad I could use the onsen after all this time.
Some facilities, such as footbaths, will not be available, and the onsen will only be open until 4:00PM for the time being.
There are high hopes that this will be a step towards the reconstruction of the Wakura Onsen area.
So happy the hot spring has reopened. Sending my prayers and love from Scotland. 🇯🇵🏴
