Did she have a single game point during the whole match ? I don't think so. An execution. One of the quickest match i've seen . Did it last 34 minutes or less ????
Serena stopped her in NYC in a tough three setter, but she SHOULD NOT have lost to Graf in RG Martina in AO was unbeatable at that point, nothing Monica could do 😰
@@danielgoncalves8079 the US open match was very tough. As for the FO one, conditions played a part. Graf’s movement was a key factor in the windy conditions that day. Agree on Hingis. Despite dropping a set to Coetzer, I think AO 1999 was her highest level of play in a slam, even better than her 1997 ones. FO98 Seles should have showed up that day and she didn’t. Even if she had played as good as in her 4th round or quarter vs Graf, I still think Martina would have won.
@@jujumusique1305Monica probably could have won against Graf if it was not windy she did not even hit one service return winner and overall she did well really well in three of the slams as everyone been saying EXCEPT Wimbledon that 3rd round loss against lucic was not a good outing …and the Aussie open quarter against Graf was vintage Seles if she could have played that well it could have swung her way..Hingis was great that year though for sure

1999 was year of Seles playing super strong tennis in the slams yet not making any finals.
