Now if they fix the other issues, we will finally be able to fully use this device! Great Demo, Aaon, thanks! (EDIT) Had a chat with Frank (YoloLiv), and he thinks my original comment was scary. It wasn't but I agreed to modify and clarify. There are 8 or 9 issues (bugs or missing features) That I posted on his last live stream (Aaron P's). I do think they're working at it. I stand by my original post (before this one). I have version 1.8.2. Anything past 1.1 should NO Longer be beta, and some of these issues and bugs are things you put up in Beta that you don't after the 1.1 release. I come from the Apple world and if it's mission critical you don't use beta or new software until version 1,1.X comes out then you have a very stable device. At version 1.8, there are still fixing .8 issues (BETA), and that is not acceptable. I do, however, see light at the end of the tunnel! (Ending on a positive note)
I don't have experience with yolobox, could you please elaborate on which are the problems since I am interested in this device. I have the budget for this or the atem mini extreme but the atem is missing a lot of features that would require more equipment for which I don't have the budget. Is there any other alternative that would be as complete as this in this price range (or a combination of devices)?
@@musasoyyo On Paper for me the YoloBox (Ultra) was the smart choice but some important things don't work right. Aaron said on his last LiveStream he making a list so look out for the list I think there fairly close. I used the lots of ATEM but I need to be able to have remote guest which is almost impossible for the ATEM
The only thing they need to put into the ultra to totally beat the market is xml for those cuts. Since you have ISO recordings, imagine having a xml file that you open on any NLE and the recorded program is made of those iso recordings. Do you get where im pointing at? Once you have your iso’s on the timeline than you will be able to replace those iso files with the original 4K, 6K, RAW or whatever footage you have from your cameras! Imagine you did a 6 hour live show and you have the cut version ready to be adjusted and swapped with the original 4K footage, HA…. no more multicam in NLE, saves you TONS of hours. Just like atem mini pro iso and blackmagic cameras.
Wait did you just show that it can create scenes like the DM? You can bring in multiple sources as well as images, graphics and titles amd have it all on one selection instead of having to continually tap the screen for all of them?
I’m curious what type of SD card do you use for the YOLO ultra? Something like: SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-II Memory Card - C10, U3, V90, 8K, 4K, Full HD Video, SD Card - SDSDXDK-128G-GN4IN SDXC
did i understood that right or its really only when you are on the same network? So if im out in the wild using the sim card to connect to the internet and my phone there is obviously no wifi and we are not on the same network, than how do we use the feature ?
Yeah, like most of these devices it only works on the same network. That's why I always recommend bringing a travel router, so you can get your phone and your streaming box on the same local network, then you just have to get an internet connection to your travel router. It also simplifies things a ton if you have more than one device you use for streaming, like a yolobox and an OBSBOT camera for example
Is there a way with the Ultra so I can have it installed in a race car and someone in the paddock remotely control the stream? VPN or something like this? Same network would be out of reach…
@@aaronpk Thanks, that's the only thing missing for this device to really be "fully integrated' a real audio mixing section. Audio gears are quite cumbersome
Here is the reply from YoloLiv: "We are currently focused on completing the development of the function and ensuring its stability on Android devices. Once this is completed, it will be transported to iPhone and YoloBox Pro. Thank you for your understanding!". Then I asked: "Thank you! That’s great news! Is there also a plan for developing an API for external control that will support device like bitfocus companion/stream deck via OSC?" And they replied: "We are about to develop our web control platform. Once it's done, we will be able to support external control from Streamdeck. But it will take a couple of months." Hope that helps.
@@aaronpk I’m currently playing about with the scoreboard feature but I can’t seem to make a scoreboard for a particular type of game scoring we use. The score is made up of goals and points, so for example each teams score is in the format 00-00, where the first two zeros represent goals scored and the second two zeros represent points scored. So for example, a score could be as follows: Team A: 2-13 Team B: 3-15 Is this possible? Would be extremely useful for us.
I actually would rather that they add the web page to the yolobox itself so I could type in the IP address of the yolobox in the browser rather than go to their hosted web page at all!
Thank you for the video and participation in our live stream today!
Very helpful indeed for us IOS users. Thanks for sharing.
Hey, has there been any updates to now remotely manage via web vs local LAN?
The anticipation pays off. Excited for what's next-YoloLiv always delivers.

Yep, still a long way to go. I just sold my YoloBox Pro and bought a Magewell Director Mini instead. It‘s like night and day. 🙂

Oh! Ok can you explain why and what about the DM you like better? I'm having trouble deciding between this and the DM. @@aguano

That's a fascinating device. Any EQ, limiter and compressors on the audio channel like on the ATEM?
Nope, the ATEM is one of the only video switchers with that level of audio processing capability for now

I have plan to buy a new switcher
Which is better YoloBox Ultra or Atem mini extreme iso.?
totally depends on what kinds of things you'll be using it for!
The Magewell DIRECTOR MINI has that before yolobox ultra
Yeah that's why the title of this says "finally!" 😅
Is it also available for iPhone users ?
The website works great on iPhone, there's no separate app for iPhone yet tho
how about yolobox pro? when we can use this on it?

when ?
Too late i left the YB system and moved to the OSEE switcher
Still not good enough because they have been just updating the ultra but nothing for the yolopro
It will come to the Pro soon! Check out today's livestream on the yololiv channel, Frank talked about this a bit today!
Would have been nice to have the scoreboard separated out. Handing just that function off to a second person is particularly useful.
An excellent use case! I hope they update the remote control to include the scoreboard feature!

I sure hope they add https to the web control site. It’s 2024, yikes.
Not that it matters for nothing local, just some browsers complain.
