I had it happen to me too much, so I went offline and stayed the same level while progressing, so that i could do what was done to me. It's a vicious cycle.
Imagine you want to try out this game and your first pvp experience is a guy with Havel armor. I mean, you could still Troll them but atleast they should have the chance to actually survive the encounter
@@TRSRM The problem is that THIS has nothing to do with pvp because the versus is missing. There is no fight between two players when you're just some dude with a straight sword getting assulted by a Havel monster. The invaded player cannot win no matter how good they would play, it's literally a predator toying with their prey. If he would invade him with the same or similiar gear it would be much more fair for the new player and he could probably learn something from his defeat. When I play ds3 and encounter these types of players in a new game, I just instantly quit because the invader is not looking for a fight, he just wants to piss others off.

@@thedarkness1857 If it's any consolation, I usually give them a few embers first. Hell, a guy today with no health/estus offered me an item to leave so I gave him 50. That aside, I think playing the entire game at SL15 for gear was enough of a hassle. Sometimes it's fun to have it easy and win a big chaotic brawl solo. So you can take that sanctimonious attitude and put it where it belongs.

Cause like, if this was their first experience playing dark souls and they just get bodied THE WHOLE TIME (by a dude who has END GAME ARMOR) then they may never try again and come enjoy the game WE know and love. One time in Ringed City, I was invaded around the second bonfire, when I was testing out chameleon spell. I decided to see if invader would find me, if I pretended to be a statue of Ringed Knight in the corner. The invader looked for me for quite some time and when he started to break boxes and barrels in the room, I decided to reveal myself and faced him in 1 v 1. I wonder if he ever noticed that that statue was out of place in there. In any case, I love how that statue looks, and that is one of my favorite disguises in the Ringed City.

Have they considered... and this is just a thought. Locating the "R1" button and pressing it when you are close... and then stopping when you are not. A really insane strat that only those who have apposable thumbs and have beaten each game without leveling or upgrades can execute.
Most people probably know this, but you can change gear while maintaining barrel form and parry straight out of it, it's a great way to mess with people if they try to hit you
I have low level gank characters set up for when Dark Souls 3 goes on Steam Sale. Always fun. Kept force pushing this four stack gank squad off the same edge over and over again just hiding in a different spot coming from another angle each time I invaded XD. Though there was one guy I felt bad for and spent the whole invasion using prism stones to guide him around traps and point out ambushes. I hope he still plays.
Didn't have a problem with the trolling, but he did use a late game armor set and dark fist. Didn't show much skill in the fights apart from an occasional parry.

@@maxsperling7009 I know this is old bur yeah, fighter is a legendary invader and "duelist" too (ive seen him do some crazy stuff on some duels), but I think chase would win in most cases because he doesnt troll most of them, he just beats them with skill

Because trolling is cancer and stuff like this almost made me quit playing online. I eventually got good enough to kill most of my invaders, but get good isn't an excuse to do people like this, dark souls pvp is one of the most toxic aspects of the game

One time I went to the High Wall and invaded to see if I could bonk some new players, got ganged up on in like 5 seconds as the host summoned like 3 phantoms as soon as he noticed me. Maybe I'll make some new characters and fool some invaders into thinking I'm a clueless newbie with my tiny amount of skill.

Just put ur sign down in front of boss rooms, and farm souls that way. Besides you can't drop souls or crafting items.

Halberd is easily one of the best weapons in the game. Refined +10 will take you through end game bosses. Equal strength and dexterity
