Thank you for addressing the fact that surgery is not a skincare replacement. So many people fail to understand that. You can botox and lift your skin all your want, the quality of it will not be good if it is not addressed daily and protected.

So helpful Penny, since I too am really struggling with my neck. It’s the part of my body that shows my age the most by far. I just bought the dermatology neck cream and I feel like I like it but I haven’t seen earth shattering results yet. Although I do see a general smoothing. So as soon as I’ve come to the end that I will try some options because it too is quite pricey, and I bought it on sale.

I lost 80 lbs recently and my neck needs tightening. Am very happy about the weight lost but my neck needs some tlc

I've purchased a few dermelect products. Interesting on the glycolic acid. There are so many ingredients in so many products. When you are new to this game, it is a lot to deal with..acids, peptides etc

@@kathleenp3135 The video Penny did on Dermelect brand she said she thought the one in the tube was better and maybe stronger, I do not recall exactly how she explained it. I think I ordered the tube by itself and got the tub in a bundle when they were having a sale. That is why I decided to use them that way, making the one in the tube last longer:). If you go to her video before this one she goes over each of the Dermelect products she loves and gives detailed reviews on each.

I have been using Alpha Skin Care Essential Renewal Cream for over 30 years. It has 10% Glycolic Acid at a ph of 4 and no parabens or fragrances. It is about $25 for 2 oz on Amazon . I actually started this a couple years before starting Retin A in my 20's and got so many compliments on my skin. To this day I credit this cream (as well as good genes) for making me look 20 years younger than I am. Love your channel X

I'd gotten lax with the glycolic on the neck, and so, as an even way more affordable option, I've started again with pressing in a shake of The Ordinary's Glycolic toner (PH 3.6, perfect!), going about other tasks for at least an hour, then following with all my normal skincare that I always bring down the neck. Easy peasy!

Thank you for telling us not to put on peptides right after glycolic acids! Assuming lactic acids can also breakdown peptides? I haven’t tried a glycolic acid product on my face and neck in awhile because while my skin tolerates tretinoin fairly well, glycolic acid tends to irritate my skin but maybe the serum I used had a very low ph. Lactic acids seem to be less irritating for my skin but the sleeping serum sounds fantastic.
Penny, CAN Lactic Acid also breakdown peptides? What about any other acids?

Lactic acid also thickens epidermis. Just saw video by dr Dray. I wonder if it is effective same as glycolic. Anyway i agree glycolic acid works, i guessed myself that glycolic acid great for neck and saw results with it
I loved it back in the 1980s when products with glycolic acid came onto the market. Glycolic acid is absolutely wonderful. I used Serious Skin products back then and my skin looked fantastic. I hated it when skincare moved away from glycolic acid because the new products weren't that good. It wasn't until retinol serum appeared on the market that my skin became happy again. I swear that skincare products really took a nose dive for about 20 years. The industry, it seems, wasn't permitted to make any products that included acids or chemicals. Glycolic acid comes from fruit so I never understood why it disappeared off the market when it gave such good result. To this day, I run a slice of tomato over my clean skin now and then and I can feel it working immediately. Glycolic acid really is good for your skin.

Penny, when I put glycolic acid on my hands, they look so much better than when I put tretinoin on them! You are right. Still love my tretinoin for my face, but for hands, arms, and neck glycolic acid works. I use it on my face too once in a while for exfoliation. I just use the glycolic acid toner from The Ordinary. Is that okay or do I need more of a cream? Thanks!!

I have been using a glycolic face wash (Derma E) a few nights a week, after a 1st oil cleanse, plus then their glycolic toner (daily) & then I was pretty much right after that putting on snail mucin, & then a peptide serum (Derma-E), & more recently, then also adding to that a Copper peptide serum (Biossance). I know the face wash gets washed off obviously, but would the peptide still react to the glycolic face wash...even if I stop using the glycolic toner?
Also, is using a peptide serum, plus a copper peptide serum at the same time ok, or should they not be used together? And only recently did I find out that snail mucin has copper peptides in it as well, so if I use the copper peptides along w/ that, is that "overkill"?
Will the glycolic mix acid serums help w/ my HEINOUS neck rings? Ugh! Besides the acids, is there any other suggestions you can give for that? I know I can't be the only one that this is (one of) the Bane our existence!!! 🤦🏼♀️
And is there anyway that could you Please dedicate a video to the proper combining of actives, & when is best to use, what & when; as well as the proper "cycling" when you're trying to work into your routine a multitude of products to target multiple skin aging issues.
I am SO CONFUSED w/ combining different products, that a Lot of my skin care just sits there, & I wind up not using a lot, & wind up being inconsistent with it all!!!
I bought the self esteem serum and neck cream after your last video. I made the mistake of using the serum on my neck ONCE before the cream (figuring who can’t use a little resurfacing on the neck!?) and have suffered the consequences ever since! Lots of Cicaplast and not much else and still red and flaky and healing. Learn from my mistake, Ladies! That serum is strong!

I do have a question about using an over the counter retinal product such as Roc retinol correxion if I am using my Agency products, is that over kill? My skin is not sensitive at all. Another influencer mentioned Maelove moonlight serum and I am pretty sure she uses Agency as she is an ambassador for them. Also the Roc directions say you can use am and pm.
Can I just use the beauty of Joeson, and again is good for age 65?

I do love Dermalect! Have noticed a definite improvement in my face, skin and neck skin. I also have Strivectin Neck cream but I cannot find an ingredient listing. Do you know if it has glycolic acid?
I don’t think the strivectin has glycolic (I’ll try and find the deck too). Most of strivectin products are based on myristyl nicotinate (an ingredient relative to niacinamide).
