Most boring watch collection on UA-cam
an apple watch? that means you have an iphone, so you are technologically and computer illiterate.
@@louiscyfer6944 wow you’re a bozoooo 🤡
”Watch collection doesn’t have to be expensive.”
”The next watch is a Rolex Explorer.” 😂
"He says" 😂
anything more than 2 could be called a collection but is it any good?
Unpopular opinion: The Rolex Explorer I isn’t an expensive watch (retail price, at least). Save up for a couple years and it’s well within the realms of attainable.
@@angrybanana6223 Exactly. People have become so addicted to the idea of instant gratification that they’ve forgotten there are some things you actually have to work and wait for.
@@TheJohnGalt1945 Me, who doesn't live in a first world country and earns like $600 a month: "Did you say couple decades?"
That is to say, not everyone is in the same position, and perhaps that's the reason why this opinion is an unpopular one.
I did probably the most common mistake when I started getting into watches a couple years ago and bought so many watches. Ranging about $100-$1500 watches. I had 56 watches total and have down sized to 8 recently. I’m done with what I call the “affordable” range and I’ve definitely got the quantity out of my system and going forward I want to focus on getting it to maybe 5 watches or so that are high quality.
A vintage Cartier would be great- don’t forget about the reverso though too. I dress mine up and down with simple strap changes- and that may lead to some additional strap plugs too!!
i'm curious to hear how you manage to dress down your Reverso! I have a TT1931 Duoface and really struggling to dress it down so it is more appropriate with the more casual aesthetic of 2021. I've got a Eulit perlon on the way so see if that's a solution...!
Theo and Harris
@@alexchu8434 I have a Riverso in gold, I wear it as both a dress or sports watch on its original black alligator strap to cycle or jog. I can’t understand why you have to swap the beautiful strap for an inferior / non standard alternative to dress it down. It is a Riverso just wear it the same way people wear a submariner with a suit and tie. Riverso are sports watches!
@@MrRoyck10 I wear my jlc hometime in gym clothes
Dress watch, a Reverso is a great choice.
Ultrathin 1931 is my favorite.
Amen!
Agreed Reverso over Cartier.
I have a large reverso small seconds with the brown strap. Surprisingly versatile, looks right in place even with t shirt and jeans. Got myself an extra black croc strap, and it turns into a nice dinner / suits watch.
JLC is a good choice even if, for a dress watch, I would rather go for the ultrathin small second (dressier IMHO) but I uderstand that the design of the reverso is also unique and a conversation starter more than the ut ;)
Genuine collection straight from what you like! Rather watch this with each watches having a background story rather than the hype watch collectors + the ones who collects with excessive diamonds on each watch though its preference. Really love the journey you have with each of your watch, it seems to give a more realistic approach to us viewers on collecting watches. Great video and content!
Explorer, Kermit and Seamaster. Common mate, he only needs a Daytona to make it 100% cliche collection. Even with Hamilton he took the most talked about watch. I like this guy, and i wish i didn't see this, especially the apple watch in the collection, jeez.
It's crazy how much our taste for watches overlap. I love your collection. I also have the Omega Seamaster (white dial, with the black/rubber strap as I also didn't like the bracelet). Also on the list for the Explorer II. Thanks of your work !
Love your channel Adrian! Your collection is fantastic. I like the fact that you mix it up. That new Aqua Terra Small Seconds looks incredible.
I really love the sea masters bracelet. It’s refreshing and original. The older one I didn’t like much but these flatter links really do it for me.
Every time I see that explorer, I can feel my savings account quivering in fear
It really is a great one. 👍🏻
Hoping to get the new one at some point. Or the 40mm Omega Railmaster. Both great no-date options, solid case backs, good water resistance. Simples
The new 124270 is worth it if you can get your hands on one. Super accurate and very comfortable daily wearer.
@@BarkandJack are you still wanting a new 36mm Explorer 1?
Explorer I is a great goal to have. It's my first Rolex, and the watch I keep coming back to for daily wear.
Great collection. Completely agree on adding the Explorer II polar. A steel Reverso would be an amazing dress piece.
I love this video, I love your humble and attainable collection. It makes you come across as relatable. Often is the case online, that what we see is not relatable to the every day watch enthusiast. Keep up the good work buddy ❤️
I love the Khaki Field Mechanical, but i prefer the Automatic, it just seems a bit more sophisticated and dressy. More versatile.
Sad to hear your Tudor BB58 is likely on it’s way out. I really think it’s a shining star in your collection. I own the blue version and it gets almost all my wrist time.
I have that watch in my collection and it bores me now. I'll admit it's a great watch, especially for the money, but there are other more interesting watches (in my opinion) and wrist time is valuable.
It's a nice watch, but there are much nicer, more interesting watches out there in the world. I've seen many people buy one and end up parting with it later on. To each their own.
Everyone and their nan has one, which makes the beauty of it a bit boring imo
the sub and the seamaster both outperform and outshine it imo. it's a stabilizer, not a source of excitement. it sings harmonies.
Blue one is my next watch. Going to snatch one when I get my bonus next year
Great collection Adrian. A lot of variety. I love that! Thanks for the great content also.
Nice collection, quality and versatility combined. I personally love the look of the Santos as a Cartier model, but each to their own, enjoy!
I love Adrian’s collection. I must admit. The BB58 does look out of place among the other watches. He doesn’t sound as passionate about that watch as the others. But it’s still on my list of watches to buy 😉
Kermit and the Explorer. Paired with my vintage Speedy. Perfect 3 watch collection 🙂
Explorer 39 mm and Omega Seamaster are in my collection as well. Always a joy to look at those watches.
turning 40 soon and I find myself changing drasticly my collection. But its part of the process
Great Collection Adrian, good to see old friends and new ones, pretty balanced collection over all. Enjoy the hell out of those and wear them in good health! Funny to hear that you also into Panerai recently, I had two in for review and am really hooked, so careful with trying them out. Happy Sunday and Cheers
A man with a watch collection like that needn’t shave or change their t-shirt any more than once a week.
That’s gross.
Two t-shirts a week, please.
hay
LOL you have to get your priorities right in life..
watches are only accessories, even how expensive they are
I bought the exact same Seamaster largely on your recommendation and I freaking love it
I just tried one on yesterday and I think I’m gonna buy it ha
@@dereklee7009 do it, it's awesome
Same here!
Great video mate! That was long overdue. I was literally laughing out loud as I watched. We have nearly identical taste in watches. The foundation of my collection - the one I'll never sell - is the 214270 39mm Explorer (mk2). I just picked up the new 36mm Explorer for my son. He'll get it in a few years. I had a Black Bay Steel and it came and went pretty quickly. I had the blue version of your Seamaster and sold it pretty quickly, but I agree about the depth. I loved staring at that dial. Next watches on my radar: two tone Rolex Date Just, new Polar Explorer II and I absolutely want a Panerai. I'm also completely torn between the new 43mm IWC Big Pilot and the 41mm IWC Spitfire Chronograph. I prefer the look of the Big Pilot, but I'm worried it's a bit too big. I tried on the Spitfire Chrono recently and it's fantastic. Anyway, great collection and great video. Really well done. The best watch content on UA-cam. Keep it up!
Excellent collection. Vintage Cartier checks more than just the dress watch category but also adds gold! (Yeah I know BB has gold accents but I’m talkin the case). Got to see the new Aqua Terra 39 small seconds and I totally agree - it’s an absolute stunner. 🤩
The idea of you letting go of that Seamaster breaks my heart
That’s how I feel about the bb58.
Tend to agree. But,…. that new Aqua Terra is gorgeous 😁
Agreed. I lust over the blue dial version. but on the positive Adrian will probably get a nice premium because it is his watch and had a great connection with it if a fan buys it. That's a premium that makes sense. Must be cool acquiring a watch you already wanted and in addition it was Adrian's.
@@whereRbearsTeeth 🤣maybe just me.
@@whereRbearsTeeth no they don’t. Maybe if it belonged to someone that was actually famous.
Great collection, Adrian! Through the years I’ve always admired your tastes 👍
Thanks a lot Danny 🙌🏻
You can’t go wrong with a vintage Cartier Tank. Got mine at Christmas, haven’t regretted it even once
Excellent collection. Love the BB and Seamaster. Those and the explorer would be my keepers.
I’m surprised an Omega Speedmaster Pro isn’t on the menu for your collection. You definitely have a Chrono gap.
AHHH, I remember these! Videos about watches and not TPG!! HALLELUJAH!! 🙏😃
Haha. On to proper things. 👍🏻
@@BarkandJack …May the community return to business ☝️😑
Absolutely love your collection. I feel like I have the same taste as you. I’d be very happy to have that collection. I like every piece 👌🏼
Awesome collection! I'm looking at my first Swiss piece, and it's a toss-up between the Tudor BB58 and the Omega Seamaster 300m. I still have to save up and I'll have to buy it pre-owned though.
Great collection. A real enthusiast's collection and one I can really relate to and definitely can see myself with similar pieces. If it was all Patek and AP, it would just feel too distant. This is the real deal. If I had to chose two, I'd keep the Explorer and Kermit. I do love Omega, so the Seamaster would compete for 2nd place.
Adrian's worn a kermit so long that whenever I see one, it reminds me of the channel.
🙌🏻
…whenever I see actual Kermit the frog, it reminds me of Adrian’s watch. But that’s because there’s something wrong with me. 🐸
The Adrian Kermit
Nothing from Rolex is not run of the mill.
Great video Adrian. I like your style in watches. Glad you’re exploring Panerai and Cartier as well! And also glad you have good things to say about the Apple Watch, because it has a legitimate place in a watch collection.
I'm in a pretty similar situation, I bought many watches during the last few years, Omega, Tudor, Rolex etc. but my favourite by far is still the Rolex Explorer. So I had to buy a new 36mm version. :)
An awesome collection and what's nice is it's something that develops over time and as tastes change. I had a 16750 GMT, then sold it for a Sub 14060, which I kept for 15 years, then sold that for a Paramotor (the best fun I've ever had btw). However, I love watches far too much and am mesmerised by their design and the way they age. I now my eye on on either a 1675 GMT, 5513 Sub and (or) a new Omega Seamaster 300. How on earth do I explain that to the wife?? She'll either kill me or get another cat ;-) Help required please!
My fav B&J video EVER I think!
Thanks a lot Britt 🙌🏻
Adrian love love love your watch collection really can’t fault a single one of your watches. Good one mate. 👍
Thanks for all the fun and informational videos. Great channel.
I just purchased the white dial Seamaster 300m today and couldn’t be happier. Stunning watch in every way. And like you, I love looking down at it in random places. It imparts a sense of calm in a crazy world.
Hi Adrian, that seems like a really nice all round collection. Was just curious to know if you still the HMT in your collection and if it gets any wrist time?
Did he have an hmt? I am happily surprised.
@@currentaf8455 his previous collection video had an hmt, a gift from an Indian fan
I like the Omega seamaster the Hamilton and the Kermit..
Great collection. I have range of watches but the BB58 on a nato is just perfect for everything, swimming, cycling, pair of jeans, even wore to the office on a suit.
If you are going vintage 34mm Tudor Prince date is cool, I have it on alligator strap for weddings. I think I paid £750 for it about 8 years.
Keep making great content!
Such a classy watch collection. It’s not about the prices, it’s about the taste.
Can you do a video where u find the Ower of the CWC and hear their story?that would be very cool
Lol. Probably some guy who kept it in a drawer during missions.
Best voice in the watch market, great collection.
The Hamilton Khaki Field and the Omega Seamaster 300m are my two favourites. Grat collection overall!
I love my seamaster, completely agree with the staring thing. Years later and it’s still like the first time I wore it.
Do you think you’ll get the new explo 1 (36) at some point ? I thought it was on your list ? Also if yes - how will it fit in your collection - will you get rid of the 14270 ? Cheers man !
I was going to ask the same thing. I sold my 114270 when my name came up for the new 36mm. The only thing I miss is the vintage charm of the wider, jangly bracelet but the new one is a superb watch.
Why is the reason you don’t have a Chronograph watch (Moonwatch, Navitimer, etc) in your otherwise amazing collection?
To not break the budget I've found a number of the Oris chronos to be great looking.
I've got the Explorer II with the black dial. Love it. Matches my high school colors. My dress watch is the Cartier Santos 100. It was my first pricey watch. Still have it and I love it, as well. Keep up the great work.
Drinking coffee out of a jam jar and talking about Adrian’s watch collection….nothing much beats that…great vid!
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Saving for the explorer, the perfect everyday watch with great heritage
It really is the perfect watch. I’m not joking when I’d say I’d happily only have that watch.
@@BarkandJack I thought you were going to get the new 36mm Explorer? 🙂
@@BarkandJack Explorer or Explorer II that is?
Honestly, why not a Reverso instead of a Cartier? Or a Santos medium.
Santos medium 💯
I’d love to see the Seiko SRPE55 in the collection. I absolutely love mine and I know you’d love it. Especially with your straps!
The IWC Big Pilot 43 is awesome. Lucky to have secured one already and love the few on the wrist.
mad respect for the gshock
No no no, don't go the Cartier-way, please..... buy a JLC Recerso instead. Come on, you can do it!!
I'm curious, why not the Cartier way?
Love that Kermit. That and the pre ceramic GMT II Pepsi or Coke are on my radar. Good practical selections Adrian.
Been waiting for this video for a while now. BTW your watch collection is a dream!
I literally watched your 2020 collection video two hours ago!
Haha. Good timing.
When it comes to dress watches. There is one that stands out a little more than any other and that is the OMEGA Constellation Pie Pan from the 1960s. Bet on it instead of the recently hyped Cartier.
Recently hyped? Cartier invented wrist watches.
@@jewelstd Yes Cartier is in a new hype. How many people talked about Cartier as recently as 6 months ago?
Think about it. When watch dealers start talking about interest in a particular watch, it means they want to sell theirs. That's exactly why for the same reason you NEVER hear any watch dealer talk about buying the OMEGA Constellation Pie Pan. Think about it for a while.
@@jewelstd Cartier? - I though it was Wilsdorf (Rolex)... .
@@watch-checker Rolex was still a watch producer wannabe when Cartier released the Santos. It wasn’t the first wrist watch, but the first watch designed to be a wrist watched. All the wristwatches before were converted pocket watches.
Cannot wait to hear your thoughts on the Panerai. That’s the next watch on my list, so I’m interested to hear what you have to say.
Great collection by the way.
Would love to chat about watches some time.
Wearing my 36mm Explorer as I watch this , picked it up few weeks ago love the piece. Less than a month on the list , I was incredibly surprised
Now THIS is a banger of a collection. Love everything in here, maybe excluding the apple watch, but that's because I'm a paranoid tin foil hat wearing weirdo and I'm not about the tracking. But it sounds like you use it for one thing and it does that one thing well. Killer stuff here Adrian.
Thanks a lot man. Now what do we need to get you to do watch videos like your audio videos?
@@BarkandJack I can put my watches in my isolation cabinet and play guitar or sing to them to see if they work better or something, but I don't know if that'd be valuable to most people.
On a serious note though, I have had a few conversations with folks about it, and I think the consumption of watches and mics are completely different. Mics are essential for recording, and most of the time there is zero emotions attached to them and it's also easy to demonstrate the qualities of the mics by sharing the recordings. Watches on the other hand are inessential and chock full of emotional attachment. The point is that the approach to the emotional item probably ought to be a bit different and have some aspect of story associated with it as opposed to just technical reviews. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this though.
Always good seeing you around!
I’d go for the new solarbeat Tank if I was going for an occasional wear/dressy Cartier
I actually tried one of those on the other day. Felt like a great watch for the price. And the quartz movement would be really useful seeing as it would be worn much.
@@BarkandJack the Tank Solo was already an unbelievably versatile watch but the solar quartz just pushes it up another level - plus no seconds hand so you’d never know 👍
@@BarkandJack 16 year service intervals is incredible too. I'm getting my wife the small version for our 10th anniversary, and just have to decide whether to pair it with the Santos Medium or Tank Large for myself. Another in the running is of course the Reverso Tribute Medium (which I fell in love with after your review), but like you I am just concerned that I wouldn't wear it enough to justify the cost in my collection. The Santos could be dressy enough for me, while also being a good everyday type piece.
@@BarkandJack Also considering there's no seconds hand, you wouldn't even remember it was quartz.
My favorate is the Exlorer. Mine is a 1991, purcahsed shortly after watching your video. Most worn, most loved. I can see you with a Tank, go for it!
To see both a CWC and a Hamilton Khaki Mechanical in that collection. Very good. Very very good! That's a real cool collection, and one you don't see much around.
The BB58 is simply so much more elegant and delightful than the rather tacky-looking Explorer ii. Never much cared for the Omega Seamaster either, also looks a little ticky tacky. The Breitling chronograph you have in your introduction on the other hand…now that is 💕
Please, never darken your desk or our screens with that Apple 'thing'. It's not a watch, it's a thing 😉
Haha
Agreed it’s a wrist iPhone.
Next lvl snobbery
Silver-lining, apple watches are getting people used to looking at the wrist to tell the time... Perhaps setting them on the path for mechanical watches as they age and accumulate disposable income.
Agreed it sounds like watch snobbery. BUT an Apple Watch/Fitbit etc will be obsolete after a few years when it can’t be updated anymore. The others will last forever, potentially.
I sold 12 impulse watch buys from 2020. In April I received a submariner from AD as a ten year career watch, no wait. I was floored. I immediately bought the Seamaster 300m black because of your recommendation and the need to get it off my mind. But… the small seconds AT is so so beautiful to me. This is great Adrian 👍🏻
The Explorer II is a great choice. Recently entered my collection and is my go to watch for everyday use.
You won’t be disappointed when you get it
It’s a great watch and I loved my Polar. It was just too darn big and I traded it for a BLNR, which is my perfect size.
The only thing that needs to be roasted is your coffee 😉
🤣 hahah good one.
I’m here for the comments losing their mind over the Apple Watch.

I’ve just today sold my seamaster, the blue one. Not because I don’t love it, just because I’ve got to try new models. Can’t keep em all. Nice collection btw 👍
Dress watch: Gotta at least look at a Grand Seiko.
yes, Cartier tank is a great looking watch. just gotten mine before they increase price this month.
Love your collection Adrian. Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks buddy 🙌🏻
A Cartier Tank Cintree would be a nice addition to the collection
Great video you have talked me into getting the Rolex explorer I love that watch so great I can’t wait to get mine, plus you have a good collection it’s nice to see people with more then just dive watches lol, looking forward to seeing your next video
Love where collection going. The Rolex Explorer II white dial - would be my choice if looking at Rolex but next step for me hoping to be a Tudor Silver Black Bay 58 Silver. Love the simplicity of the Hamilton too ....
A decent collection Adrian, I can't knock any of them. I can understand what you meand where the classic has been injected into the BB58, but that's only because although it's a new watch it isn't an evolution a one particular classic. The Great White SM300M is simply gorgeous.
Wonderful Video Adrian! Have a 14270, find it quite small. Just got my 226570 and it is massive. Would be very suprised to see both in your collection. Even my AD commented on the gap between 36 and 42 mm. Take Care…
It’s all class. I really wasn’t a fan of Omega til I saw you white dial. With future watch aspirations can’t see the need to change. But damn you need a speedy. Thanks for sharing
Great collection. It's funny, I started browsing the PAM catalogue last week. Really intrigued about the Luminor Base... until I realised they are hand wind only.
Exp2 Polar is on my Christmas list too along with a DJ41
Look for one of the automatics or tourbillion watches. They are really nice
Great collection! Explorer 2 would be a cool addition. I know it's popular, but I just don't get the Seamaster. It always looks like a dog's dinner to me, with the wavy lines and the big indices and whatnot, although taking it off the ugly bracelet helps a lot. I think a vintage Cartier's a good choice for a classy, relatively affordable dress watch. I have the sector dial JLC chrono (partly inspired by the video you did with the guy in Edinburgh) but I hardly ever wear it, so it feels like a bit of a waste.
Like it a lot . Think it reflects you and your personality and you have a passion for what you have .it’s always nice to see that .
You have a very smart watch collection, and I think adding a Cartier Tank is brilliant! I collect a few watches Rolex, Cartier, Bell& Ross, but I think I’m going to add a Cartier Tank Must XL 2021 to my collection for a dress piece. Cheers!
That's a proper watch collectors collection. Loved the vid!
Thanks a lot mate. 👍🏻
I think you also need an annual calendar watch in your collection…. And something with a blue dial. Thanks for sharing!
Really like the British military watch. Never seen one before, but it looks good and the authenticity of it is cool! I love my Explorer as well and am looking forward to your future Panerai videos if you make them.
Great watch collection. Really nice classics. Only thing I have that's close is an older Seamaster 300m.
Super collection and future purchases. 😎
Looking forward to the panerai review 🤗
😱 A smart watch!!.. To think I used to like you!!! 🤣 Sweet collection mate, thought it almost sacreligious selling the SMP, but agree that Aqua Terra is pretty special 😍
Cheers Mate 👍🏻👍🏻
I think your collection is great! I must say I do really like the Explorer 2 polar dial.
I agree about the Explorer 1. None of my other watches get any wrist time since I got the 39mm about a year ago. I have even saved up for another watch, but now that I have the funds, I kind of wonder what the point would be.
I actually love your collection but am having a hard time understanding why you are so cool to your Tudor Black Bay 58. Although I don’t currently own one I find it to be an awesome watch. Keep up the great videos Adrian, I love both your videos and your coffee!
Oh yes, I'm envious of your collection.
You should also consider adding a nice classic chronograph, such as a Speedy Pro (Moonie). Great history, reasonable price, and several options to consider. Maybe get one to replace the “58?”
