I have been watching this movie every now and then since I was a kid and I'm now 28 in a couple weeks.. as time passes I find I only appreciate it more and more, I don't say this alot but I honestly do mean it when I say this might be the most underrated movie ever, it's crazy when you think how few people actually know about it.
Collateral is one hell of a movie. Strong performances from Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx. I felt like the first half hour was a bit slow but the movie really started to pick up after that.
Michael Mann's Last of the Mohicans, Heat and Collateral are some of the greatest modern films of all time. Everything clicks - script, shooting, sound, music etc...you never tire of these, sadly nowadays these kind of more realistic action movies are so rare in these "mini-series-streaming days". An era that gone.
@Vince lang Indeed, it is a movie-lover's, film- freak's kinda production. I've never ever heard a person say "naah, that's no good", everybody is a bit mesmerized...like with Miami Vice when it came. Always sad endings, at best bitter sweet, a bit meditative almost. And the soundtrack's always great. Nowadays they've pretty much removed most soundtracks, and good music composed for a movie. It's cheaper, like "no one will miss this, we hold one or 2 keys tone throught throughout the production". So weird.
Couldn’t agree more about Heat and Collateral, they are in my top five. The sad part is that almost everyone I’ve met has never heard of these movies and Michael Mann.
I had no idea about this movie and I’m so glad I watched it by accident at night alone, I loved I had no idea what was gonna happen next. Certainly glad I didn’t watch the trailer or anything before
They filmed a few nites across street from me in Hollywood. My plumbers street. He told me a papparazzi said hed pay him $100 to take pics from his apt. My plumber told him "want me to go over and tell Tom Cruise you think hes only worth $100"??!! lol
I think this is from 2004 when he was in that car accident with Tom Cruise during the filming of the movie "Collateral". GREAT MOVIE BTW! Also stars Jada Pinkett-Smith. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I knew Tom Cruise could play a crazy psycho role lol. Remember in the movie Mission Impossible when Tom said "You've never seen me very upset" Well this is it. 🤣 🤣 He is very upset
Question: why the actors Joseph Fiennes, Cameron Diaz, Michelle Yeoh, Tom Felton, Adam Goldberg, Bruce Greenwood and Jonathan Hyde are not in the movie Collateral (2004)?

True... I'm gonna adopt myself with This one today......
It’s so well acted.
This is Tom Cruise's best work IMO. He is phenomenal !
Yes. Think what u will of Cruise, but Mann directed him great in this film.
@@opponenspericulo Yes. You are absolutely correct !
One of his best roles. He should play more villain roles more often.
@@gregofcanada4494 Agreed !
The depth and meaning of this movie is immeasurable.
There’s a whole questioning about what masculinity is in our modern world in this film I just love it, so many layers

They took their time developing the characters
Tom and Jaime have great chemistry. They play so well off of each other. Honestly one of my favorite crime/thriller films of all time.
Cruise kills a guy twenty minutes in. And those first twenty minutes all end up paying off

One of Michael Mann's best films.
One of the best, I watch it every December, since about 2008 ish. It’s a Xmas tradition. Sound track awesome too.

My favorite movie of all time
Tom Cruise in this movie = GODLIKE.
This crime action movie is twenty years old now starring Jamie foxx and Tom cruise.
Who here knew that This movie Connected with The Transporter.
Casting the otherwise flamboyant Jamie as this low-key, decent guy was a strike of genius.
This movie is special

I am here so that I can imagine Tom Cruise as a Villain in the upcoming MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS as SUPERIOR IRONMAN.
also Andrew Garfield: Hey Max!
