As a diehard Pink Floyd fan, and a Fender snob, GVF is the first band that has caught my interest in years. 3 concerts later and I can say they are the real deal. What a talented group of young men.
When people ask me who the best guitarist in the world is, I always say several. For me, what matters is the guitarist's trademark. I know that Jake has several influences (even from the 50s), but he put it all together and created his own style. Excellent!
to record Starcatcher, he had a friend from the Chicago Music Exchange bring a whole bunch of guitars. One of them was the 3rd 335 ever made and he used it to record The Archer. I'm pretty sure the one he plays live is a Custom shop to try to replicate the one he used on the recording
I'm 55 and I love GVF. The only concert I've been to in at least ten years! It was excellent. This vid wasn't that great IMO, and the solo isn't really impressive, but it's just ambient phone audio. Their stuff sounds really good when properly recorded. Jake is a very good guitarist. ❤ All that being said, yes, of course you are still entitled to your own opinion. ✅ ETA: the video was captured well. My comment was aimed at the content, not the camera work. Just to clarify that. Good work on the scene and thank you for posting it.

Waiting my whole life of Greta van Fleet ….❤❤❤
I saw them in Kentucky! And Jake played this same solo on fire for 8+ minutes and it was the coolest thing I've ever seen!
❤

Wow! Great video!
Anyone know when Jake started using the 355 & what the deets are on this? Custom shop or vintage? Absolutely love it
When, when he started touring this album, in 2023z the other details I am not sure

Great music but this rockstar needs to figure out how to make it to the gym or do more poloties as stated to take it to the level
I like GVF a lot but Jake has mastered using other peoples licks 🎸🙏🏼👀
So did anyone else
👎 i’m not hating , but for me at 60 years old these guys I’m just not feeling it. It is what it is.
This video doesn’t really do them justice but you’re still entitled to your opinion
