I don't know how much nature it is to see a swan family in the middle of the road. but moving them aren't easy. The cock, (the one standing up) is very protective of his hen and chicks, and will attack anyone who gets too close viciously, and the hen is not much better

Happens in my small town with the 30-60 odd ducks living in the town center(its a pretty large pond with houses for them n its right next to the bakery) and for some reason they keep crossing the road around 6:30 to get fed by an elderly lady, at first she came to the pond but then they started crossing the road and shes done it so long now that the ducks just....keep going closer and closer to her home for breakfast, its always causing congestion because nearly everyone waits for them(most people are far from local in our small town but the attitude is seemingly near universal, ducks must be taken care of) and on occasion ive had to herd them at the end of my work because....well....imagine up to 60 ducks spending about 3 minutes each crossing the road in a line....yeah....it uh.....it takes a while and it always shows in town when they are up to crossing that paticular stretch of road because its linked to every other road entering the town so nearly everyone drives on it on the way to work XD
Just like in every human family, even here the dad had to act like he knows everything... And as usual mama is with kids cursing him for his over smartness 😂
How lovely, instead of pushing them along, Denmark police just direct the flow of traffic around the swan family until their ready to carry on to the water. Now that is something special and nice to see. Thank you for sharing 💗💗💗

If you want an even more adorable sight, sometimes a cygnet gets tired, because though swans look graceful on the surface, their feet do a lot of paddling ... So, when either the mother, or father - swans pair for the lifetime of one or the other - notices a cygnet getting tired, it allows the cygnet to climb upon its back. I've seen that, in person, close by the famous Kew Gardens, here in London, England; a little grey head popping out of the mass of white feathers, whilst the other parent, and the flotilla* of the other cygnets, are near by ... [*= I suppose technically they ought to be called a fleet: the two parent swans are the carriers, whilst the cygnets are like all the destroyers, frigates, and other vessels ...]

In Philadelphia we have to stop driving when they cross the street in the park. You see all the signs for bird crossings. And we wait for the bird family to cross the the other side. One person attempted to drive while they were still in the street. All of us hollered and honked at the person. They stopped, and one of the adult birds sqawked at the driver. When the chicks get tired, the whole family has to stop. So the babies can rest!!!😊

So, when either the mother, or father - swans pair for the lifetime of one or the other - notices a cygnet getting tired, it allows the cygnet to climb upon its back.
I've seen that, in person, close by the famous Kew Gardens, here in London, England; a little grey head popping out of the mass of white feathers, whilst the other parent, and the flotilla* of the other cygnets, are near by ...

In Philadelphia we have to stop driving when they cross the street in the park. You see all the signs for bird crossings. And we wait for the bird family to cross the the other side. One person attempted to drive while they were still in the
street. All of us hollered and honked at the person. They stopped, and one of the adult birds sqawked at the driver.
When the chicks get tired, the whole family has to stop. So the babies can rest!!!😊
