Hi Phil, thanks for another great video. I remember Canterbury quite well. I actually took swimming lessons at the Canterbury Swimming Pool way back in my school days. Also, if I ever caught a fast train home from the city, after Sydenham, Canterbury was the first stop on the fast trains back in the 1970s, when I was working and occasionally I was over-carried to Canterbury. Nice seeing all the progress there. Anyway, take care. Rob in Melbourne Australia.
i seen the bankstown line is still in operation for now. though they confirmed before that a new city circle service will run via Regents park once when the line does shut for good. I seen the new bankstown metro platforms on both sides take shape during the months. the metro conversion won't effect the freight line going to port botany. because they would still need to be operating that line as it is an important freight route going in and out of port botany as it plays an important role for shipping freight. while the new metro is also going to have new stations being built in Parramatta & Burwood too. but they currently under construction. which will be exciting too because we are getting more brand new metro service transport in Sydney. I myself had caught the metro in the northwest many many times. & their metro service is absolutely fantastic. pretty new for our city.
I am in a wheelchair I would have problems getting up it but it isn't too bad you should see the station at Port Adelaide in SA it is about six times worser and got no lift and no plans for one.
Hey Phil, thanks for filming all the station between Bankstown and Sydenham, really miss when it closes forever for double decker.
Good video Phil

5:00 can just see some poor sucker fighting their wheelchair all the way up that ramp, getting to the top and going "oh sh-- there's steps!"

Hi Phil great video and happy winter season and this was amazing video I enjoy your channel
Nice Video! 😅
I don't get why they did not widen the west side of platform 1 as part of the metro works. Its so ridiculously narrow!!
What stations are you going to film after the T3 Bankstown Line?

Will this be the eventual fate for the entire Sydney Network in the dark distant future .. ??
That was filmed on the day where I was celebrating Ramadan!
