So this is the final update. well Primordial Malzeno has its moves but tbh it was not that hard. It is what it is, good show. - Ігри
Guess Malzeno is the first elder dragon who thanked hunters for helping them.
The only elder dragon to ever fight to protect the light and harmony of the world
@@theroarofthebeast8206 it’s kind of amazing actually, knowing there’s an actual Elder dragon that protects rather than destroys everything in it’s path
@@theroarofthebeast8206not the first actually
@@ovenaroundhead2881there’s also ceadeus which some coastal people worship as gods because they are usually followed by lots of fish which means more food for people. Jhen mohran also are worshipped by desert tribes which harvest minerals off of their backs. In-lore people very rarely slay jhen mohran because they don’t want to hurt them.
@@omage3457 that’s great to know
malzeno is like a noble knight who turn into a vampire
I mean that's basically what happened in the law because they basically use themselves to stop the The flying bloodsuckers.
that's exactly what his concept is
It’s like Artorias being corrupted by the Abyss. Instead of liberating Malzeno by death, it’s the Qurios that are felled.
Was really hoping we'd face a variant of a gaisma with the help of Malzeno at first but I really like this ending and finally a elder dragon who is not all about destruction
First monster hero 👌
Forget bout Nerg already?
Finally; White Dragon
This guy was heading towards Ruiner Nergigante house to finally brag about his accomplishment
@@khoinguyen5004i dunno bout nerg, it’s more like it was doing it’s job
@@josefbajarias3109 Nergigante hunts Elder Dragons, and it prioritize the one that's powerful enough to threaten the entire ecosystem, making it the natural cleansing system for the world, which is why it attacked Shara Ishvalda
I want people to realize that Capcom literally recreated Gabriel Belmont as a Monster Hunter Elder Dragon. He starts out as Primordial Malzeno, a benevolent hunter of creatures that stalk the living and feast on them. Creatures that would end the world, if given the chance.
But once he destroys the worst of them all, he finally falls prey to the darkness that he’s been hunting all this time, becoming the darkest embodiment of what he once hated. And he waits for a death that he believes will never come.
I don't remember completely the story, but Gabriel Belmont was deceived since the beginning by "Zobek" that he would be able to revive Maria by getting the so called mask.
Willingly accepting the task, and finding until the very end, that it was just for naught. Later with some luck he took the blood of a vampire and killed something close that was after the power to become a "deity"... To then being persecuted for his own family for being immortal.
Long story short after 2 entries "Dracul" saves the world by helping "an old friend". Sounds kinda close but here seems like the first Malzeno got completely consumed. And the last one is actually fighting that "plague" (not sure about trying to revive a loved one XD)
And the other Belmont was Leon if I remember correctly... (The original story)... Nah I don't remember after so long but something kinda similar happened.
by far the best Elder dragon along with Valstrax and Nergigante
So true
Dire Miralis: ur sure ur not forgeting someone?
@@przesterinio1834 I’d consider him as a Black Dragon rather than an Elder.
@@acow1385 yeah But anyway it still has dragon in its name
@@przesterinio1834That's just being picky. Black and red dragons are an whole other class of elder dragon.
The 15:57 bgm is so touching. Now ladies and gentleman this is the end of sunbreak and begining of mh6. Hopefully we'll see more creatures like those.
At long last,by the end of the last update,a moment of peace is restored between the mosnters and humanity
Monster Hujter Stories 3: The dragons of peace
White Fatalis : “I’m on vacation”
It seems like resisting and overcoming the Qurio like the other elder dragons gives this Malzeno a proper "risen" state instead of adapting and doing symbiosis like the rest of its kind.
I mean, if you think about it the Malzeno that have become commonplace in the kingdom are those that technically succumb to the Qurio. With those that don’t make the deal with devil, being the species’s truest and risen form, as they are hardened by actively fighting the parasites.
Now that ending is what you call a Sunbreak
Looks like he’s flying off to wherever mh6 takes us next
I vote Primordial Malzeno for Gen 6 of Monster Hunter
+1
Malzeno 2024
I would want a game like Generation Ultimate, where almost all monsters are in it. Including new ones.
I agree for 2 reasons, 1 I agree, 2 you are Rhulk
Nah, I don't want to fight a *good* align dragon. Can't it just be an alley?
I kinda wish Primordial Malzeno would show up and help us take down a Curio Infested monster on an Anomaly Quest.... would be cool to see a Hunter and a Monster that's an actual protector or guardian fighting side by side to take down a threat to the land 😊😊😊
Permanent wyvern ride as if it was letting you ride it
I love the way they uses their wings as a shield and sword
Wow! Even though that final form is horrifying in a bad way, we definitely had a "Black Dragon" unleashed here! I kept telling myself it would die under the pressure but the cinematic was majestic!
Your armor's talents were majestic too; embolden, intrepid heart, heaven sent... That had to be the best set for such a battle!
I always like to use defensive sets whenever I fight a new monster, and yeah, all those times practicing insta block and jumping through attacks did the trick in several times XD
Thanks a lot for the comment.
15:24 Malzeno be like :
"You have my thanks, Mortals"
good work. I did faint once and got caught in a combo I couldn't get out of and he insta killed me with it
Hey!! I almost got carted. That stun was so bad XD but the old ones gave me another chance hahaha
let me guess, it's the shield bash
@@oldcowbb it was. I got locked in a combo I had no escape from. having max stun resistance and all that did nothing to help, he ate me for lunch.
Who knew malzeno was good all along and the qurio turned it evil
just like the Dracula tale
people who knew the lore on twitter:
15:25 Primordial Malzeno: Thank you, Hunters.
Now we just need Primordial to have a turf war with base malzeno like the story one cause i wanna see who is stronger
And so that Primordial can deal out some justice to it's fallen brethren aka Quirio infested malzeno
Is it just me or does Prime Malzeno seems much more bigger and bulkier than the default vampire Malzeno?
I imagined that's what will happen if you have parasite in/on you for so long, it'll make you looked malnourished.
@@keroro407 more like malzenourished amirite
The parts that Vam-zeno had that were covered by Qurio to resemble 'fur' are covered in armor plates instead on the Prime varient. A lot more armor in general all over it to give it Knightly qualities.
That's because he basically is, think of it like this, Prime is basically a bulky, heavy duty knight with heavy armor and large heavy weapons. But basic Malzeno is a malnourished vampire, skinny and derived of any nutrients due to its constant need to feed. Prime seeks to hunt down the qurio because they cause immense destruction to the ecosystem because they kill LITERALLY everything if they lose their master.
You know, in the lore, dragons and humans used to live side-by-side before the war. Now one dragon has returned to defend mankind. A knight that takes up his sword again to defend the weak and slay the wicked.
His thr knight of elgato and the protector of the kingdom his the one who put the arch demon in the pit his mission is to protect mankind from the qurio
None of that "war" junk was ever canon. And while it's true you could look at P. Malzeno as a "guardian", Galleus points out after this quest that in the end, Malzeno has only been trying to protect its territory, like any animal would.
@@TheMoonman4 well, technicaly speaking, Fiorayne implies he is the "protector of the kingdom", and thus she implies is protecting the citadel, which is essentially his territoy. He doesn't need to be a world protector, already protecting his once home and getting rid of the plagued him, the old citizens and various other monsters is enough for him. Not all monsters in the MH Universe are essentially evil by default, those who seem to be are only protecting their territory or fighting for their lives to survive, and Elder Dragons are no exclusion. Take MHW for example: Some dragons, like Nergigante, Lunastra (and Xeno'jiiva inevitably) will always attack any nearby beings, no matter how small or fragile they are, if they stay for enough, that means their fighting for personal space. Meanwhile, Teostra, Kushala Daora, Kirin and Vaal Hazak are peaceful. Unless attacked, these last four will keep strutting through the areas either dispersing their fur or scales or sitting and watching the scenery.
@@ulissesleal2002 fatalis is genuinely evil though lol
@@borzoilover4156 yeah, but i clearly said "not ALL monsters in the MH Universe are essentially evil by default..."
You were relentless! Well played hunter
Omg I love his teleport so much
i love the music at 15:57
A beautiful fighting for an endgame of a game the true beauty that we will admire tell the next life let all hopes and dreams not go in fade to this hour of time of matter 💖
Kinda wish Galleus was there, would be an even more important moment for him
So some elder dragon do have motives and ambitions, seems new research has to be done on their intellect now. Can’t wait to see if they expand on their roles and behaviors in new games.
I love how Primordial Malzeno attacks are done. The patterns are recognizable but strong.
2:04 same braincell
it's no longer morbin' time...
Reminds me of ludwig from bloodborne, a cursed holy knight.
Plot twist: fiorayne shed a tear because she knows sunbreak is ending 🤣
A very fitting ending for Sunbreak, looking forward for the next release.
Is it me or does it give off traits similar to Valstrax?
Dont you love when some rando joins your hunt faints twice and causes you to fail despite never fainting yourself
Whats the reason for not carving his tail?
In all honesty I did not even notice when it got cut XD
@@gamingodyssey5633 oh thats kinda sad
@@gamingodyssey5633 I was screaming "CARVE IT! CARVE IT!! ARE YOU BLIND?! NOOOO!!" Hahaha, really good play though.
Same kind happened to me, though for me it was because of the transition to the cutscene, as the tail broke towards the end of the hunt.
Wait lance can cut tail?
this fight makes me wonder if we encountered any risen elders during the early stages of infection could we have saved them like malzeno? would they have thanked us in a way too?
magala as we have seen do have a astounding amount of intelligence(granted elder dragons are always known to be intelligent chameleos makes a conscious choice to steal your stuff as an example). Stares you down like alatreon in world does during 4's final bout. Consciously making the choice to pummel one monster with another(tool use).
I sometimes see it chill at the top of the map looking into the distance when at blue health as if it's contemplating something. Also it carries an aura of smugness as it poses with the star pose. Something unintelligent doesn't feel the need to show off like that.
I feel like malzeno is on par with shagaru without qurio. With qurio i gotta bring up risen shaggy and everyone hates risen shaggy but me. Cuz this is still a malzeno being infected by qurio but it's right at the start of the infection. Phase 2 is the infection phase 1 is no qurio.
Also fun fact primordial malzeno has 2pins in phase 1 before the qurio touches it it just grabs you looks at you then drops you showing it isn't as hostile a nice touch with the lore as it isn't as brutally violent as normal malzeno.
reading about the grab makes me think it's thinking. "What are you doing, tiny creature?" -drops-
Someone please explain to me the lore of the usual red malzeno and the primordial?
I don't have the game so I'm not very aware but the battle and the comments during it have moved me TnT
Regular Malzeno embraces Qurio (red butterfly thingy) but when he was defeated turns out Qurio is not working for malzeno, he's just merely another host. Qurio while empowering the monster it also sucks monster's life force, it's job is to revive the final boss (Gaismagorm). Now the final boss is dead, Qurio are spread around the world to find more hosts in order to survive, now Malzeno knows he's being used by Qurio and reject it.
My english is bad, but you get the idea.
@@kayzeke8571 Don't worry my English is bad too, I originally speak Spanish
Thank you for explaining, I only have two doubts, were the Qurio always at the service of gaismagorm? I see some memes where they say they used to be like Malzeno's friends but they turned against him.
And also... So the first Malzeno, the regular, is technically an empty shell controlled by the Qurio?
Bro broke bad 💀
Hahahaha I know!!! I messed up real hard in that part. XD
man this fight for me didn’t even last 10 minutes before i was brought down lol. this beast is NOT easy. i just fought him today and got wrecked. oh well it will be even more satisfying when i finally slay this dragon
I can imagine, every time you fight a new monster things can go out of hand real quick.
Keep up the good work o7
@@gamingodyssey5633 dude i fought amatsu maybe 2 times since its release and handled it better lol. i went into this one blind 😝
@@notimeleft1 hahahah i get you, in all honesty Amatsu is more about a flashy fight. XD
This one is much harder, the pace of the fight at the end can be overwhelming if you commit a small mistake.
@@gamingodyssey5633 it really is lol. Man used to having the hunting horn twins on my solo hunts and I can’t use them till I clear this new one
*put again the quest and start farming the elder dragon*
since when Lance was so unga bunga? lmao
Pointing gun in mid space: it's always been. XD
So, is normal Malzeno a bad guy, and Primordial Malzeno a good guy? Can you kill Primordial Malzeno? I'm so lost.
p. malzeno is “technically” good yes. normal malzeno is “bad” because it was taken over by the qurio while p. malzeno is it’s prime, original form and serves to defend the kingdom from the qurio
Yes you can slay the primordial Malzeno, quests after this let you slay it. Those quests aren't diegetic though, AKA the canon ending is you helping the P. Malzeno and then it thanks you and flies off, slaying it is non-canon. Similar to Tri with Ceadeus, in the canon ending the hunter helps it by breaking off the overgrown horn causing it pain and it swims off, the slaying quests are non-canon.
And after that you hunt him again nd slay again then make armor of him HAHAHAHAHAHA
We’re getting a sunbreak 2
No
What a fitting ending for this expansion. Mediocrity.
Woman just state the fucking obv. Women ☕️☕️
What an underwhelming fight
on what planet???
@@TheMoonman4 This was just the same Malzeno fight but with a different ultimate.
@@CaleoGaming okay 😐
@@CaleoGaming do you know wtf is variant jeez
@@TheMoonman4 the planet of make believe 💀
Man that ending cutscene is really lame. I wish they would have had defeating the qurio as some actual mechanic in the fight and not just in a really underwhelming final cutscene.
It was not even supposed to have this fight, it's a bonus update that wasn't planned you should be thankful to had this masterpiece monster as something that almost didn't make it out
Yea no this cutscene was based as fuck. An elder dragon thats not known to be a chaos bringer but a holy knight of justice? INJECT IT INTO MY VAINS!
Agreed but fight is so cool I could forgive it.
Sorry my guy this is a really shit take
They couldn't do that because then you wouldn't be able to do anomaly quests or quirios crafting after this mission
i was hoping for a reemergence of gaismagorm right at the end and that malzeno would be a mount without use of wire bugs for a final fight. and like before a glowing qurio would start to rise from its corpse only to be swatted out of the sky by malzeno resulting in the rest of the qurio swarm just dropping out of the sky on the spot
im kinda mad that the glowing qurio had no significance in the end
The glowing qurio most likely does have some sort of significance, perhaps it means that no matter how one tries, there's always going to be another Gaisma and the cycle just repeats. That's what I take from it.
